Henne struggles, Rodgers steps in leads EPIC Game Winning Drive as JAGUARS knock off COLTS in Rainy conditions!

    RECAP

Jacksonville, FL- It was a rainy back and fourth battle today as the Colts(1-2) and Jaguars(1-2) fought for a win in monsoon weather.

"Even if it was weather we knew we had to go out and play hard." Jags Head Coach Gus Bradley stated.

The Jaguars trailed the Colts late in the 4th 20-14 after Chad Henne threw his 2nd interception of the game.

Gus Bradley knew he needed to make a desperate move.

Andrew Luck took the ball and his struggles vs the Jaguars defense continued as he threw his 3rd pick of the game that gave Jacksonville the ball back with less than 2 minutes in the game down by 6.

The Jaguars had a chance to win.

Chad Henne didn't take the field again. Bradley benched him for his struggles.

He was 19/40 for 287 yards 1 TD and 2 picks.

The Jags turned to backup #2 Jordan Rodgers for the win. They were hoping he could make some magic like his older brother up in Green Bay.

Rodgers took the field. He didn't disappoint.

Jordan Rodgers led Jacksonville on a epic 70 yard Game Winning Drive and his Touchdown pass to Tight End Marcedes Lewis in the corner of the endzone sealed the win for the Jaguars.

"We we're very proud of him today for what he did and how he won us the game." Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley stated.

"It was a surreal moment for me." Quarterback Jordan Rodgers said. "Given the pressure of the situation."

    DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE

The Jaguars Defense made life miserable for Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck as he had 1 TD and 3 picks and completed 59% of his passes.

"Division games are always hard cause they know you better than anyone else. I tip my hat to them today." Colts QB Andrew Luck said.

"They we're well coached today. Great win for them. " Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano stated.

The Jaguars will fly high with this win today as they prepare to welcome Blake Bortles next week.

RAIDERS face toughest challenge yet as they head to Boston to meet BRADY, PATRIOTS...

      PREVIEW

Foxborough, MA- The Oakland Raiders(0-2) are in trouble. They are struggling to get anything going at all. It's still early in the year as Week 3 is here but the Raiders need to find a rhythm and fast. After dropping their first 2 games to the Jets and Texans they now face their toughest challenge yet.

A matchup on Sunday afternoon in Boston with one of the greatest Quarterbacks ever Tom Brady and the New England Patriots(1-1).

"He's the Greatest ever." Raiders Quarterback Matt Schaub stated.

The Patriots were upset in South Beach but bounced back with a victory over the winless Minnesota Vikings(0-3).

Oakland comes into Boston with the worst Offense in the league and averaging just 9.5 points a game.

"We're aware of how bad we are right now. It's still early but we know we need to get things turned around." Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.

Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson is also scratching his head.

"We look good during practice but we can't transfer those results onto the field. Blows my mind." Olson stated.

The Patriots are averaging 31 points a game (Good enough for 8th) and should easily blow away Oakland.

"Anything can happen in this league. One mistake and you can find yourself down on the scoreboard." Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick stated.

"We're not looking past their record. We're preparing for all scenarios." Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady said.

The Raiders defense will need to step up as they have allowed 75 points over the first 2 games.

The Offense needs to get out of a funk as starting Quarterback Matt Schaub has 0 TD's and 3 picks for a rating of 17.5 over the first 2 games.

But Oakland isn't ready to make a switch yet.

"I need to play better. This team relies on me to help win games." Schaub said.

The Raiders need to get together and fast or it will be a long afternoon in Boston.

PATRIOTS blow out RAIDERS 40-0 in Foxboro!

        RECAP

Foxborough, MA- Tom Brady was all smiles in his post game conference. The Franchise Quarterback threw 280 yards and a Touchdown with no turnovers.

"Great team win today. Despite their record you have to give Oakland credit. I know they're struggling on Offense but that defense was another story." Brady said.

But the Patriots(2-1) had other plans as well, attacking Oakland on the ground with Running Back Shane Vereen's 165 yards and 2 TD's off 23 carries.

He did fumble but Oakland failed to do anything with it.

Speaking of turnovers, Oakland had 3 nasty turnovers as Quarterbacks Matt Schaub and Matt McGloin threw interceptions.

"Turnovers are killing us. We need to be better at protecting the football." Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.

The Raiders(0-3) continue to struggle. Quarterback Matt Schaub threw only 117 yards and a turnover. He now has 4 INT's and 0 TD's in 2014.

He was benched in the 4th as Dennis Allen sent out backup Matt McGloin hoping for a spark.

        It was a disaster.

The 2nd year backup threw 47 yards but was picked off sealing the win for New England.

"Defense was great. We don't look at records. We have to plan very well for each game. Today was great football for us." Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick stated.

Oakland absolutely struggled from the get go. The Raiders only picked up 8 First Downs all game long while New England had 21. The Raiders finished the day with 144 yards of total Offense.

"That is terrible. We need to be better." Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.

Raiders Running Backs Darren McFadden had just 12 yards off 2 carries while MJD struggled all game long finishing the day with 19 carries for -2 yards.

"I don't want to talk about it. Rough day man." MJD stated.

"We're all unhappy right now. Tough loss man." Raiders WR James Jones stated.

Jones had 2 catches for 58 yards.

"We're in a funk right now. Have been so far this season. Still a long ways to go but we need to figure out how to win games." Raiders Quarterback Matt Schaub stated.

West Battle in the Desert as CARDINALS face 49ers!

          PREVIEW

Phoenix, AZ- It's a game not as big as the Seahawks-49ers rivalry but the Arizona Cardinals also have a name for themselves in the NFC West rivalries.

"Big Division game. It's early but every game vs a Division rival is a must win." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

This year is personal for Arizona. The 49ers swept them last year enroute to a 12-4 record and a trip to the NFC Championship.

"We swept them last year but every year is a new year. I know they'll be hungry for a win and we need to be prepared to not let them." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh stated.

The 49ers(1-1) are coming into Arizona with the 4th ranked Defense but 15th Offense. The Cardinals(1-1) enter with the 7th ranked Defense and 24th Offense.

"Both teams have good defense. It's going to be a question of who breaks first." 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick stated.

The Cardinals will look to upset the 49ers as Quarterback Carson Palmer looks to rebound from a bad performance last week when he threw 2 interceptions vs the Giants in a 31-10 loss.

"I need to take better care of the football. I'm better than that." Palmer stated.

49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick is confident his team can pull out a win. He has 5 TD's and 1 pick so far this year.

"Kaepernick has really developed this year." 49ers Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman stated.

The Cardinals will look to beat the 49ers for the first time since 2011.

            Kaepernick's 6 Turnovers doom 49ers in Arizona!

            RECAP

Phoenix, AZ- The Arizona Cardinals(2-1) we're ready for the 49ers Sunday when the two teams met for the first time this year. Arizona's Coaching Staff had the team ready to play.

"It's a division game. Always the toughest on the schedule." Cardinals Quarterback Carson Palmer stated.

Palmer was 25/34 for 216 yards and a Touchdown.

The Cardinals(2-1) defeated the 49ers(1-2) today 27-14. Arizona Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles had his unit ready to play.

"We spent a lot of time looking at film and paying attention to get ready for San Francisco." Bowles stated.

And Arizona made life miserable for 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick was 8/19 for only 108 yards and was picked off twice. The Cardinals also got to Kaep 4 times.

What's more insane is that Kaepernick ran 13 times for 103 yards but fumbled 4 times. Kaepernick finished the day with 6 turnovers despite putting the only 14 points up on the board with his rushing TD's.

"I need to hold onto the ball better. This was very disappointing." Kaepernick stated.

Running Back Frank Gore didn't do much better only getting 39 yards off 14 carries.

            Arizona was ready to play.

"Great team win for us today. San Francisco is a tough team." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

Kaepernick was out of his groove all game over throwing his receivers.

"It was a bad game. It looked like he was out of sync. Like he never played the game before." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh stated.

Cardinals Running Back Jonathan Dwyer rushed 28 times for 114 yards and a TD.

"Defense is great usually but can't expect us to play 90 percent of the time it felt like." 49ers Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio stated.

The 49ers took a 14-6 lead into Halftime. Then Arizona came out and put up 21 unanswered points as Kaepernick was a turnover machine today.

"We need to take much better care of the football. Arizona did great on creating their turnovers." Jim Harbaugh said.

"Great win for us to go into our BYE. We can carry the momentum into our next game hopefully." Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians stated.

Much anticipated Super Bowl 48 rematch as SEAHAWKS, BRONCOS get ready for battle!

              PREVIEW

Seattle, WA- It's a game Denver had circled on their schedule since the schedule came out. A rematch with the team that beat you in the Super Bowl.

"It's a huge game for us. We're excited for this one." Broncos Head Coach John Fox stated.

After a dominating 62-24 victory over the Colts Week 1, the Broncos we're upset by rivals Chiefs last week.

"I know there's a lot of hype surrounding this game and both teams are excited. " Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

Many people remember the lopsided Super Bowl back in February when the Seahawks dominated Denver 49-8 and won their first Lombardi Trophy.

"Probably the only time we'll play each other for awhile so this game is huge for both of us." Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman stated.

The Seahawks(1-1) lost in Overtime last week to San Diego.

Denver will have a much harder task this time around as they battle Seattle IN SEATTLE.

History repeats itself as SEAHAWKS crush BRONCOS 41-3 in Seattle...

                RECAP

Seattle, WA- In what was a much anticipated game turned out to be a repeat of Super Bowl 48. The Seattle Seahawks(2-1) absolutely crushed the Denver Broncos(1-2) today 41-3.

Peyton Manning was a shell of his 2013 MVP self. Manning struggled bad vs the Legion of Boom completing 39% of his passes and throwing 5 interceptions with 3 of them to Richard Sherman.

"I have no words. It was an embarrassing performance today. I'm much much better than that." Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning stated.

"We just weren't ready today." Broncos Head Coach John Fox said.

The Broncos struggled to get anything going at all. Seattle's LoB defense proved to still be elite.

"We we're excited for this game. We knew they were hungry and we wanted to make them uncomfortable." Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman stated.

Seattle set the tone from the very start as Running Back Marshawn Lynch ran for an 80 yard Touchdown shoving off 3 Broncos defenders along the way.

On Seattle's next possession Quarterback Russell Wilson dropped a 63 yard bomb to TE Zach Miller to put Seattle up 14-0.

Wilson finished the day with 3 TD's and a pick.

They would continue to pour it on from there taking a 38-0 lead into halftime.

"We wanted to start fast because of how good Peyton Manning is." Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

The Seahawks Defense made life miserable early and often for Denver.

"It's like the Super Bowl all over again. They were just suffocating us." WR Wes Welker stated.

The Broncos never stood a chance. Not even in the run game, the hard hitting LoB defense forced 2 fumbles on Broncos Running backs.

"This place is really tough to play. The way they are coached is just amazing. " Broncos Head Coach John Fox said.

DOLPHINS usher in the Marcus Vick era as CHIEFS come to town...

                  PREVIEW

Miami, FL- In 2006 Marcus Vick went undrafted in the 2006 draft. His dreams of playing football and following in his brothers footsteps appeared long gone.

But it wasn't because he wasn't good.

It was his attitude. Many teams didn't even bother.

Vick was signed to the Miami Dolphins back in 2006 but he only appeared in one game and played the WR position. He had zero catches.

Miami dumped him soon after. Vick disappeared for years. But he didn't play football elsewhere, instead he continued a dark path down a dark road with legal troubles.

But when many people in the league decided to close the door on Vick, very few refused.

Including Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin.

"I believed in the kid from the start. I looked at how his brother was playing in Atlanta and thought to myself Marcus could do the same." Philbin stated.

Joe Philbin was with the Green Bay Packers in 2006 coaching the Offensive Line.

But then Michael Vick got into some serious trouble and Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid gave him a second chance.

It was time for Marcus to have a second chance as well.

"I looked at how Philadelphia gave Michael (Vick) a second chance and brought it up to our Front Office and we all agreed we wanted to extend a hand to Marcus." Philbin stated.

The League soon approved the decision and Marcus Vick was invited to Training Camp. Head Coach Joe Philbin welcomed him with open arms.

"I owe everything to Coach Philbin. I really do. The fact Miami offered me a second chance, I mean I can't express my gratitude enough." Marcus Vick stated.

The 30 year old Vick is officially a NFL rookie and will make his first start today when the Kansas City Chiefs come to South Beach.

Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid is especially excited for this game.

"I'm very excited to see Marcus in action. I think Miami deserves respect for what they did in offering him a second chance." Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid stated.

News has quickly spread throughout the league on the signing of Vick.

"I'm just as excited as everyone else." Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill stated. He is injured with broken ribs and is sitting out the next few games.

"It's a great opportunity for a young kid like himself. We're all excited for #16. His attitude has completely changed. Great guy in the locker room." Philbin said.

The Dolphins(1-1) are coming off a tough loss to the Bills and now must contend with the Chiefs 3rd ranked Defense.

"Gonna be a tough challenge for sure but I welcome it. My whole life was full of challenges." Marcus Vick stated.

                    RECAP

Miami, FL- All eyes we're on rookie Marcus Vick as he led the Miami Dolphins(1-2) on to the field against a red hot Kansas City Chiefs(3-0) team.

"I had butterflies in my stomach." Vick stated.

The Dolphins took a 14-7 lead in the first half when Marcus Vick threw his first 2 Career Touchdowns.

Vick was excellent for his first start. He finished the day with 301 yards 3 Touchdowns and a pick.

He struggled to throw the ball vs a Chiefs ball hawking defense. He was 13/31.

"It was his first start ever. I have no concerns right now. I mean he threw some Touchdowns too. Give the kid credit." Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin stated.

The Chiefs took a 24-21 lead late in the fourth and put the ball in Vick's hands with less than a minute on the clock and no timeouts.

Vick was leading a nice drive until his pass was intercepted by Safety Husain Abdullah putting the final nail in the coffin.

"It was a "Welcome to the NFL rookie" moment for sure." Laughed Vick.

The Dolphins(1-2) finished the day racking up 439 yards.

The Chiefs(3-0) dominated the Dolphins defense on the ground as Running Back Jamaal Charles racked up 162 yards off 31 carries.

Quarterback Alex Smith threw 2 Touchdowns of himself and the Chiefs rolled to their 3rd straight win.

STEELERS and PANTHERS look to rebound on Primetime!

                      PREVIEW

Charlotte, NC- It's been a long 10 days off for the Pittsburgh Steelers(1-1) who last played on Thursday Night Football last week.

Many people remember how the game went.

It's a game the Steelers want to forget. Specifically Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He threw 5 interceptions to the Ravens and Baltimore blew past them for the 31-14 win.

Afterwards in frustration, Roethlisberger took shots at his teammates on the radio.

"Look we we're all frustrated last week. My job as the Quarterback is to hold this team accountable." Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger stated.

The Steelers look to rebound against the Panthers who were blown out against the Lions at home.

"Bad game for us. It happens." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

"It's a good team over there and well coached. We been preparing for awhile." Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin stated.

If the Panthers pull off the win, it won't be too long before Ben Roethlisberger is taking shots again.

                      Time will tell.

BEARS, JETS wrap up Week 3 with Monday Night Clash!

                          PREVIEW

East Rutherford, NJ- The New York Jets(1-1) and Chicago Bears(1-1) are both ready for their clash on Monday Night Football. Both teams are coming off tough losses last week and look to rebound.

The Bears we're crushed last Sunday night in Santa Clara 45-6 in which the Bears we're held to just 6 points.

The Jets lost by 17 to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau.

"It's a must win for both teams." Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman stated. "We both need that confidence boost."

The Jets are rocking a Top 10 Defense and Offense and rookie Quarterback John David Booty will look to expose the Bears struggling defense.

"When you watch them on film they don't look like they're that bad. I need to be ready." Booty stated.

The Jets placed Quarterback Geno Smith on IR with a torn achillies and named former USC Quarterback John David Booty their starter after signing him to tryout for camp.

"I believe in this kid." Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan stated.

The 29 year old Rookie John David Booty was drafted in the 5th round of the 2008 Draft by the Minnesota Vikings but never saw any snaps due to Gus Frerotte and Brett Favre.

He was released to the practice squad.

                          Then released for good.

He was out of the NFL by 2010.

"I felt like I wasn't given much of a chance. Minnesota had Brett (Favre) and I was on the practice squad." Booty stated.

But then came calling, the New York Jets. Rex Ryan got in touch with Booty's agent and offered him a spot in Training Camp.

"We gave him a spot in Camp and he played well in Pre-Season. Then when Smith went down it opened the door for him." Ryan stated.

Booty also fumbled late in the 4th that allowed Chicago to pull away for good.

"It sucks when you lose the football cause the game slips away. I take responsibility for that." Jets Quarterback John David Booty stated.

                                The Top Ten

                                1. New Orleans Saints(3-0)

Clearly the best team in the league with the #1 Offense and #1 Defense. Can anyone dethrone them?

                                2. Kansas City Chiefs(3-0)

Rocking a Top 10 Defense, the Chiefs are possibly the best team in the AFC.

                                3. Dallas Cowboys(3-0)

Raced out to a 3-0 start. Sunday Night's matchup vs Saints will be a real test.

                                4. New England Patriots(2-1)

"The Dynasty" started slow but Patriots are out to add another Lombardi to their resume.

                                5. Seattle Seahawks(2-1)

Enjoying an early BYE, the Defending Champions crushed Denver in their SB rematch thanks to their Legion of Boom Defense.

                                6. Green Bay Packers(2-1)

After barely losing to Seattle in Seattle, GB has been on a tear the past 2 weeks.

                                7. Philadelphia Eagles(2-1)

The Birds are 2-1 and out to shock the world. Tough game vs the 49ers should be a good test.

                                8. Houston Texans(2-1)

In command of the AFC South only by one game.

                                9. Detroit Lions(2-1)

Rocking the #2 Best Defense in the league the Leo's were upset by Aaron Rodgers and company.

                                10. Chicago Bears(2-1)

Marc Trestman's crew is looking to upset Aaron Rodgers and company at Soldier Field. A week 2 blowout of the Jets helped their confidence.

                                Week 4's Top Games:

Packers(2-1) @ Bears(2-1): Another chapter will be written in the story of the longest rivalry in the NFL. Last year when these two teams met was Week 17 when Aaron Rodgers had a Game Winning Drive that sent Green Bay into the Playoffs.

Eagles(2-1) @ 49ers(1-2): The Birds led by Nick Foles quest to shock the world takes them through brand new Levi's Stadium where the 9ers Defense is among the best in the league.

Saints(3-0) @ Cowboys(3-0): Two of the top teams will get it on Sunday Night when the Saints travel to Arlington to battle the fast paced Dallas Cowboys. Huge implications already this early in the year.

Patriots(2-1) @ Chiefs(3-0): Huge matchup on Monday Night Football as this could be an early AFC Championship Preview. Tom Brady and the Patriots continue their run of dominance and look to extinguish the flame of the red hot Chiefs.
