The Chiefs won the first preseason game 39-24, but I finally got to play in a game. It may have been preseason, but it felt awesome. I went 1/1 in FG attempts and 1/1 in XP. Hartley struggled and hopefully I can capitalize on the opportunity!! I’ll keep putting in the work at training camp to improve.

I went to camp and focused on making the field goals. I made 7/10 attempts from 42-yards. I hope I can have that translate to the field come game day. Our next opponent is the Philadelphia Eagles. I hope I get more tries on the field.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
I played in the second half and had a great game. I was perfect on the day going 4/4 on my XP attempts. I also went 2/2 on field goals. I booted a 50-yard that squeaked over the crossbar, but it still counted!!We routed the Eagles 64-24...even if the games don’t count it feel great in the locker room to have such a blowout win.
I think the practices and hard work is finally paying off, I feel my leg strength improving and I can hit the long field goals now. Coach Payton seems impressed with my leg, now I just gotta improve my accuracy.Comment

I didn’t play that well versus the Giants today. Identify 1/3 on field goal attempts and 1/2 XP attempts. The good news, Hartley also missed a pair of field goals. We wound up winning 42-31, but I just hope I’ve done enough to crack the starting lineup.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
Coach Payton pulled me into the office today, after our latest training camp practice. I wasn’t sure what to expect. He told me “you did it kid, you’re in the starting line up next week versus the Browns. Do well, you might make 1st string come the regular season. You’ve done well enough to warrant a shot, take advantage of it”.
I was blown away, as we shook hands before I walked out. Right now I’m on cloud-9, I feel amazing. I can’t wait to tell mom and dad back home, I need to take advantage of this opportunity afforded to me.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
We finished the preseason by shutting out the Browns. I had a good game and went 2/2 on XP attempts and went 1/1 on my lone field goal attempt. As a team we went 3-1, and are on a good roll to start to regular season, but the injury bug bit is pretty bad.
We have 6 different guys out for various lengths of time, from 5-6 weeks with a dislocated knee or day-to-day with sprained ankles. I hopefully will find out if I’ve managed to keep the starting kicker job soon.
I’m gonna fly mom and dad out to our season opener on September 14th versus the rival Falcons. I’m gonna be so jacked, but I’ll have to maintain my composure. Can’t wait!!Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
Coach Payton called me into office and sat me down. He looked me in the eyes and simply said “You’re the starting kicker, you’ve earned it with your hard work and increasing your leg strength”.
I left, with a giant smile on my face, and I immediately called mom and dad about the good news. They were ecstatic and said they would be screaming their heads off at the gameComment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
I’m writing this early, as I’ve been up since 5:30am, cause I’m anxious and nervous about my first kick of the game. Am I gonna shank it, kick it out of bounds, let the moment get to me? I need to steel my nerves before the game!!!
Sebastian got ready for the game, stretched and went through pre-game warmups in hopes to get the nerves out of his system. The game was drawing close, as he found his parents in the stands, and got ready for the big moment. He looked around at the thousands of crazed Who Dat Nation, readying for his kickoff. He raised his hand, and dropped it as he kicked the ball to the Falcons to start the game. The rest seemed a slight blur, but he collected his thoughts before writing in his journal in the evening...
The season opener versus the Falcons was bonkers!!!
Our first points of the game came on a safety, as Alex Brown sacked Matt Ryan in the end zone. Then 7 minutes later, Jonathan Vilma tackled Michael Turner in the end zone for another safety.
Our offense had a rough day, as we had trouble moving the ball against the Falcons’ secondary. Brees only threw for 275 yards, as we lost 34-20.
I was able to help out when I could; I went 3/3 on field goals, my longest was 46-yards. I also went 1/1 on XP, so that’s a positive I guess. It’s a great start to my pro careerLast edited by Chyli; 01-13-2021, 12:31 AM.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
Mom, dad and I went out to dinner after the loss on the season opener. I paid for their meal, and I had a great time. I had a steak, and we shared a nacho platter. It was good to see them, and catch up. It’s hard to talk with them during the regular season practices and game-plan sessions.
Next week, we travel to the Windy City of Chicago to play the 0-1 Bears. Hopefully we can get our offense back on track, because we can’t afford to go to 0-2 in our division this year. The other three teams seem super hungry this year.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
It was the night before the game, Sebastian had just finished having dinner with the team...
I just got done with practice for the week, and Brees seems to be dialed in with the receivers. I’d like to think we have a good shot of beating the Bears at Soldier Field.
It was the night after the game...
We had a great bounce back win today. We are now 1-1, and moved the ball on offense today. The game I had today was INCREDIBLE! We scored 52 points on the Bears. Brees and company scored 5 times, and I made all the extra point attempts. And then when the offense stalled, I was given field goal opportunities which I cashed in on. I made all 5 field goal attempts, and set a new career best for myself of 51-yards.
Coach Payton gave me the offensive game ball...he said “you earned it!” I was beaming on the inside while trying to play it cool on the outside.
The defensive game ball went to Jerome Francis for his 16 tackles (5 for loss) and 2 sacks on the day.

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
I didn’t do very good in practice this week, getting ready for our showdown with the Detroit Lions. I missed a couple field goal tries, I pushed them wide right. I need to correct that come the game. Brees seemed to click with with rookie full back Nalencz, as they connected on a pair of dump off passes. We are at home on Monday Night Football versus Detroit so the home crowd is gonna be crazy, I can’t wait.
It was Tuesday morning, Sebastian had just finished breakfast at his apartment on the Bayou...
The game last night was...just WOW. Brees went down after a hard hit sack late in the first quarter, leaving Sean Canfield as the only man available to lead the offense. Coach Payton didn’t look worried, as he switched tactics and focused on the run game. Oh boy did it pay off as Detroit couldn’t stop Bush who looked a man possessed out there.
Bush wouldn’t be denied, as he racked up 395 yards on 53 attempts, scoring 3 TDs
I made both of my field attempts, including my new career best of 52-yards!! I made all 5 extra point attempts, keeping me perfect of the season so far.
Bush of course got the offensive game ball, as he helped get us the 51-24 victory.
Alex Brown was given the defensive game ball for his 10 tackles (5 for loss) and 3 sacks
It was a great game, great execution. I think we can bring that momentum into next week when we play the Buccaneers in Tampa.

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
It was Saturday night, and Sebastian and the team had just finished their final practice before division contest against the Buccaneers...
I played better in practice this week, I hit 80% of my field goal tries. Brees was back, it was just a stiff back he suffered and he was primed and ready. He looked good, and so did Reggie Bush. The Buccaneers are 1-2 and a win by them puts them right back in the NFC South race.
The game had just finished as Sebastian had finished up his after game press conference. He was in front of the media, whom were asking him how “he felt to kick the game winner”, that he “seems to have ice running through his veins”, and other kudos by the media...
I did it...my first attempt at a game winning kick in the NFL!! The game was bonkers though as we went back-and-forth all night. Bush and Tashard Choice exchanged 1-yard touchdown runs in the first.
Tampa scored on the opening drive in the second quarter, but we answered back as Shockey caught a 1-yard touchdown pass. Tampa got a field goal half way through the second, but Devry Henderson took the ensuing kickoff 99-yards for the crowd silencing score. We were up 21-16 at the half.
Our defense was horrible in the third as we let Tampa put up 15 points. Colston put up a touchdown for us in between all the scoring to make it a 28-31 game going into the fourth quarter.
I kicked a game tying field goal, with 8:59 left. Our defense couldn’t hold Tampa off the board as we gave up a big 58-yard touchdown run to Choice with 6:34 to go. After a exchange of punts, Brees had 1:16 left to orchestrate a comeback. He was pinpoint accurate as he and Colston connected for the score. I got us into OT after the extra point.
Neither team found traction in OT, as teams exchanged a pair of punt. Brees managed to get us within field goal range. I lined up for the kick, but Tampa took a timeout to ice me. I lined up again, staring at the game winning field goal from 41-yards. I took a few deep breaths, and nodded at my holder. The ball came back, caught and laces spun out. I kicked it, smooth leg motions not wanting to shank it. The ball started to sail left, but not much as it stayed within the left upright. The officials called it good, as the team mobbed around me. It was a great feeling!!!
I got the game ball again, for going 2/2 on field goals, 5/5 on extra points and hitting the game winner
The defensive game ball went to Will Smith for 14 tackles (5 for loss), 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble
Next week, is at the Panthers as they are 2-2, and looking to get back into the division race.Last edited by Chyli; 02-24-2021, 12:11 AM.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
It was Monday the 13th, the evening after their big comeback win versus the Carolina Panthers...
Our team didn’t show up in the first half. We let Carolina score 14 points to start the game. Matt Moore connected on a long 56-yard bomb to Steve Smith and then followed it up with a 47-yard toss to Brandon LaFell.
We finally got on the board as rookie Nalencz ran it in from the 2-yard line as I made the extra point. I then kicked a short 19-yarder as the offense stalled on the 2-yard line. Carolina responded by having Easly rush from the 2-yard and then they tackled Reggie Bush in the end zone for a safety. We were down 23-10 at the half.
Coach Payton was fired up, he screamed that we “looked like a peewee team out there!” It certainly lit a fire as we scored rice in the third quarter. Colston caught a 15-yard score, and I made another field goal to make it a 20-23 game. Carolina got a 3-yard touchdown run to push their lead to 30-20.
The fourth quarter, was when our offense came alive...it was surreal to watch. We scored 31 points in the final quarter to route the Panthers 51-30. Thomas scored a trio of touchdowns and Meachem got receiving one of his own.
Coach Payton gave the offensive game ball to Pierre Thomas for his 178 yards rushing, on 40 attempts, with 3 touchdowns.
Jerome Francis, the rookie, got the defensive game ball for his 13 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 1 blocked punt
I went 3/3 on field goals and 6/6 on extra pointsComment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
We got the “W” yesterday versus the Houston Texans. I had a decent game, I missed my first field goal of the season today. I pushed a 52-yard attempt right as it ‘dinged’ off the goal post. I made up for it by making a 53-yard attempt half way through the last quarter, my new career high!
Drew Brees was was his usual self, throwing for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also tossed an interception, but the defense picked him up by forcing a fumble of their own.
Reggie Bush got the offensive game ball for his 220 yards rushing, 2 TD performance
Jared Starks got the defensive game ball for his 11 tackles (4 for loss) and 1 sack on the day
I went 4/5 on field goals and a perfect 4/4 on extra points. With today’s game check I saved up enough money to improve my living conditions. I found a nice loft apartment and I move in over the next couple days off.
The team is now 5-1, and comfortably in 1st place of the NFC South and Atlanta is in 2nd place at 3-2Last edited by Chyli; 02-23-2021, 11:11 AM.Comment

Re: It Splits The Uprights...The story of kicker Sebastian Tucker (superstar M11 PS2)
It was Sunday evening, as Sebastian was at home in his loft apartment after the Jacksonville Jaguars come to town...
It was a rough game for our offense as a whole. Drew Brees was his usual pinpoint accurate self, he threw a trio of interceptions on the day. He made up for it by tossing a pair of touchdown throws to Robert Meachem. One was a bomb down the left sideline as he blew past everyone for the 81-yard score which gave us a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.
Jacksonville kept fighting as they scored twice after that long touchdown bomb. They kicked a field goal, then Rashard Jennings got a 1-yard plunge to make the score 20-13 in our favor going into the locker room.
We traded third quarter touchdowns as Jennings got his second touchdown run and Meachem got his second touchdown pass. I added a field in part way through the final frame to extend our lead to 24-17, which held on to be the final score.
Reggie Bush was taken out after he took a vicious hit on a carry, he will be evaluated in the coming days to determine the extent of the injury.
I missed my second field goal attempt on the year as my 54-yard attempt ‘dinged’ off the crossbar, but I otherwise had a solid game. I made my other field goal attempt, and all 3 XP attempts.
I’m 20/22 overall of FG and 29/29 on XP.
Robert Meachem got the game ball for his 7 receptions for 151 yards and 2 TDs
Sedrick Ellis got the defensive game ball for his 11 tackles (3 TFL) and 4 sacks
