More than doubled, haha. But we won and that's all that matters in the end. I'll take an ugly win over a well-played loss.

          Week Recap:
1-3.. and the scoring has really dried up once again. I think it's time to really shake up the lines apart from the top line. After note:The lines did get mixed up a little, but not as much as I'd have liked but the 4th line will now be playing as much as the 3rd line at the expense of playing time from the 2nd line. Once we get some players going well, we'll re-establish a true 2nd line.

Four of our players have been named to their respective World Junior teams (not sure why the date of the tournament is off but whatever) and they are:
          D Jyri Niemi (FIN) of the Saskatoon Blades - 39 GP, 12 G, 26 A, 38 PTS, +38.
          D Blake Kessel (FIN) of the Assat Pori - 26 GP, 4 G, 7 A, 11 PTS, +24.
          LW Maxim Gratchev (RUS) of the Rimouski Oceanic - 40 GP, 26 G, 17 A, 43 PTS, +39
          LW Kim Johansson (SWE) of the Malmo IF - 28 GP, 11 G, 12 A, 23 PTS, +24.

            Week Recap:
2-1, both wins coming from Danis so he's our #1 now until he shows he doesn't deserve it. If he stays solid for another couple weeks, we might look at legitimately getting rid of DiPietro.

            World Junior Update:
Finland beat Ukraine 5-4, both Niemi and Kessel went pointless. Russia beat Latvia 5-4, Gratchev also went pointless. Sweden beat Austria 6-3, Johansson had a goal and an assist.

In the first games of the quarterfinals, Finland lost to the US 6-3 and was eliminated, Niemi had an assist while Kessel went pointless and Sweden beat Switzerland 6-4 to move on though Johansson went pointless.

What is the date that they have? I'm pretty sure they got it right. As in my game they have the WJC at about boxing day (December 26).

                        Week Recap:
3-1.. very nice. Though sadly that 5 goal outburst is the only time I can recall us scoring more than 4 goals in a game this season.. lol. If we play like this more consistently we can hopefully make a charge to get into the playoffs, especially if we can throughly outplay top teams like New Jersey.

                          Week Recap:
1-1, though Lundqvist was lights out against us, so can't do much about that. At least we came back and beat the Sabres. PK is looking a bit shaky though with 3 goals allowed in the 2 games. PP didn't do anything either. My biggest concern coming down the stretch here is getting some scoring from those 3rd and 4th lines though.

                            Week Recap:
3 games against 3 teams all close to us in the standings and we went 1-2... not good. Not good at all especially considering we only beat the team furthest away from us and the fact we blew 2 goal leads in both of those games as well. Didn't help that our PK was atrocious either.

Too bad Ryan has been a non-factor.
Do you think the defense or the goaltending has been the problem?
Maybe if you got some more puck moving d-men, I dunno just an idea.

DiPietro has been great for the most part once he became the starter again. A puck moving d-man... maybe, Edler looks like he's becoming one but to go out and acquire one in a trade will be tricky without giving up a youngster and I don't think it'll be worth it for this season even if it would help us make the playoffs.
