    Re: Buffalo Sabres redemption

Pillz, a suggestion: If it's not too late you might want to restart the franchise with the salary cap OFF. It will save you a hell of a lot of headaches in the long run.

P.S. Where do you get the cool team logos like that, very nice.
actually a like to play with the cap it's harder and it add a challenge and for the logo I just picked them up on the web for a while a think it was on photobucket

Actually, contrary to what people might think it's easier to build teams with the cap on.

With the salary cap on, CPU teams release star players, don't sign draft picks, let lots of their young players walk, put guys through waivers that shouldn't be. Thus you can just poach everyones players in free agency every year. Not to mention if you don't, they will sit in Free agency for a couple seasons.

With the cap off, 75% of this stuff doesn't happen. Kovalchuk isn't going to make it to FA and neither is Nicklas Backstrom. There's no reason you can't use house rules and a little restraint, unless you have zero self control or something.

Well put. It's the reason why I probably won't continue my Ottawa dynasty after this season.

The guys didn't play harder than the last game and the islanders took advantage of it." Ruff was clear on that.

DAILY NEWS : SABRES, 13TH IN CONFERENCE

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo began their season with 2 wins, since this they are 1-4-0 and they dropped 13th in the conference. They are only at 2 points of the 8th spot but nothing is go good right now. Ryan Miller is struggling past few games and the defense is soft in their own zone. Lindy Ruff lost patience last morning and made a 1h practice of hard skating. The only positive point is Tyler Myers, 5 points in 7 games. He is playing like a veteran and he is extremly helpful on the PP. Thomas Vanek is a deception after 7 games he has only 2 goals, a 40 goals scorer 2 times, Ruff expect more of him. We can expect to see Ian White in the lineup un next games, Tallinder can be the one on the hot seat, with Kaleta, he is the only sabre to have no points yet. Patrick Lalime is expected to see 1 game at least next week.

Trade rumors : Buffalo are rumored to look at a top 4 defenseman, Jason Pominville can be included on a trade. In ottawa, the senators tires to trade Miker Fischer and Pascal Leclaire, they wants a defensman that can score and help them on the PP

Good stuff...time to turn it around before it gets ugly.

A tough 3 losses, like OBG I hope you can turn it around.

Great job so far with this. I am a fan of the Sabres when they don't play the pens mainly because I have a bunch of friends from college that are Sabres fans. I have been to a bunch of Pens/Sabres game (including the Winter Classic). They are a decent team and their fans have always been extremely nice, unlike some of the other fans I have run into.

Best of luck to you and end the skid.
                                Lets go Pens!
