OT Game Ends in Draw
For the 2nd time in as many games the Stangs found themselves in overtime, except this time the game would end in a draw, tied at 2.
"Roloson was phenominial. We kept shooting, and he kept blocking. Very frustrating." Bogosian.
The Islanders would get on the board first with a goal by Tambelline (3) at 3.08 but the Stangs would get it back on the PP with a beautifully goal scored by Little (6) a minute later.
"Bogosian and Bergfors had a little thing going at the boards, I just got open and well the rest is history." Little.
The next goal wouldn't happen for almost 32 minutes of play, when Kozlov (3, 830th point of his career) took a pass from Bergfors (his 2nd assist of the night) and found the back of the net.
"We kept firing the puck to no avail, it was lucky it went in cause Roloson was a machine." Kozlov.
Taking a 2 to 1 lead into the 3rd, the Stangs couldn't keep the lid closed and the Islanders tied it up at 11:06 on a goal by Schremp (3), the only goal scored for the rest of the game.
"I should have had it, it was a simple shot from the point. I feel bad for letting down the team." Pavelec.
The final minutes of OT would expire and for the 1st time this year a Stangs game would end in a draw.
"Its better then a loss." Jagr.
Without delay the Stangs will fly home tonight to take on the Blues (7-7-0) tomorrow on Nov 8th. Pavalec will get the nod again for the 2nd time.
