After long consideration I decided to get rid off the 2 waivers. Rupp is not better than Boyle or Chipchura, and Fedotenko no better than Pyatt or Torres. So I ripped off the CPU.

First trade: C Rupp (80 C) to Vancouver, for Nicklas Jensen(RW, PWF, 68 B,B-,B-)
Second trade: LW Fedotenko (81 C) to St.Louis, for Dmitrij Jaskin (RW, PWF, 71 B,B,B).

Kinda unrealistic two waiver wire pickups turn into two top prospects.....Don't rip em off too much wanna keep some reality. But good job on the other moves. Gillies is on my third line for Columbus ok player nothing great but good for checking line. Nice to see you pick up some wins now.

You're right. It wasn't reality at all. But I picked those 2 up (with wife and daughter disrupting te game), and had regrets afterwards. I know it was a ripp off, but I had to correct my decisions that I made too soon. At last it is going better on the ice.

The 1st period we could compete with Vancouver. In the 2nd period we took a foolish penalty, followed by an even more foolish penalty. 5 on 3 PP against. Trouble at his best. This led to 1-0. One PP left, 2-0. Game over. 3rd period another PPG for Vancouver. Luongo made some incredible saves at the end.

GM Loonstra: We're in a playoff spot right now. That wasn't expected at all. So I have to say that we're satisifed.

Reporter: Did the new roster life up to your expectations?

GM Loonstra: After a 10 game losing streak, we had a few good games. The new roster has something to do with that. I'm satisfied with my top offensive line (Doan-Hanzal-Vrbata) and our 3rd line (Pyatt-Boyle-Bergfors), but I hope our young 2nd line could do better. Landeskog played well since he's been here, but his stats do not show it yet. Our defense and goaltending has done well.

Reporter: Trade deadline is nearing. Trades?

GM Loonstra: We do not have any trades in mind. We do not want to give up prospects or picks. I think other teams have to come up with big offers, or else we are keeping quiet.

Between games I tweaked some of it. I have Tazers'sliders, but with two little changes. It works for me. I think that my games are a little too short to get many goals (7 minute periods I think). Not realistic maybe. But I do not have the time to play games with 12 minute periods for example.

LA Kings let me pay in full for silly penalties. It was a even game and out of nothing 1-0. The 2-0 was an own goal. A wrong pass of a defenseman ended up in the net. I tied the game, but the penalty kill was ineffective again. Doan was injured in the 2nd period. He is injured for 2 weeks.
