During the off-season, there were many trades made.

First comes between Chicago and Edmonton. Bryan Bickell has been shipped to Edmonton and in exchange for a 2015 3rd round pick.
"I'm glad to be a part of Edmonton's franchise. I'll do my best to pull my weight" Bickell was quoted saying.

The Minnesota Wild have sent vetaren Keith Ballard to New Jersey in exchange for prospect Brandon Baddock. Baddock is currently playing for Edmonton in the WHL, and was drafted in the 6th round of the 2014 draft by New Jersey.
"I Can't wait to play in the NHL", Baddock was quoted saying. "I don't mind which team its for!"

The Minnesota Wild have also shipped off their 2014 4th round pick for L.A's Kings Matt Greene. No one could be reached for comment.

                    INJURY NEWS
Mike Hoffman left the game with olecranon bursitis and will be out for about a week.
Kyle Turris blocked a shot and left the game. After an X-Ray, it was found out that he fractured his shin. He is out for about 3 months.
"Well, It sucks. I knew right away that something was wrong. I gotta follow the doctors orders on this one" - Kyle Turris, Senator

It it believed that J.G Pageau will take Turris's spot, while the Senators call up #9 Matt Puempel from Binghampton to take over Hoffmans role. Also on the move is Mark Borowicki, being sent back down.

Mike Hoffman had the lone goal on his return for the Sens. Bobby Ryan got clipped by a stick, leading to a cut hand. He sat out but will return for the next game.

Chris Conner was placed on waivers by Washington. The Senators took advantage of this, and picked up the 30 year old winger. He will remain in the AHL to boost the offense.

The Senators also pick up L.A's 23 year old winger Andy Andreoff from Waivers

In other news, the Washington Capitals exchanged the 26 year old defense Kevan Miller for the Boston Bruins Connor Carrick.

                          Game Stats
Carrick: 5 Assists, 17 minutes in 14 games.
                          Miller: None

                              Sens give Andreoff a shot.
After claiming Andy Andreoff off waivers from LA, the Senators decided to give him his first NHL action. He will be replacing Pageau for the time being.

Pageau was not pleased, and voiced his opinion.
"I'm not sure why I'm benched. I think I deserve to play. Hopefully if this keeps up, they'll send me down to Bingo so I can stay fresh and keep playing the game I love." - J.G Pageau, Senators
