          BREAKING:

          OTTAWA, ON
-- In news that shocked the Capitol, Ottawa has confirmed a trade with the Calgary Flames. The Ottawa Senators have agreed to send the veteran Chris Phillips to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Johnny "Hockey" Gaudreau. This has been a shock due to the fact that Phillips has spend his whole career with Ottawa. As this may be a shock to most, Ottawa has been carrying 7 defense man, and this move also sheds off cap (~700k).

In 42 games this season, Phillips has managed to rack up 1 goal and 27 assists, while Gaudreau has 17 goals and 19 assists in 40 games for the Flames.
Gaudreau is expected to start on 3rd line beside Condra and Zibanejad.
Mark Stone has been sent down to the AHL after 5 goals and 14 points in 44 games.

"We would love to thank Phillips for his time spend with us here in Ottawa. Unfortunately, we don't feel that we are a play-off bound team, and are aiming for a rebuild most likely. We welcome Gaudreau to Ottawa, and wish Phillips the best in Calgary" - Noah Jackson, Ottawa GM

          LATER THAT DAY

OTTAWA, ON - On the same day, Ottawa has acquired goalie Devan Dubnyk from the Minnesota Wild for 2 2015 4th round pick (OTT and another), and ECHL goalie Chris Driedger.
Dubnyk will start in the AHL for now. We acquired him due to our current goalie situation (losing streaks) and pending UFA Anderson.

In 33 ECHL games, Dreider has 16 Wins, 14 Loses and 3 Ties.
In 14 AHL games, Dubnyk has 12 Wins, 1 Loss and 1 Tie.

I'm enjoying this dynasty but there is no way Calgary would make that trade. It appears that the EHM Sens are just as bad as the actual Senators. Good Luck with the rebuild.

Calgary, Alberta: Calgary has move two other moves since acquiring Chris Phillips from Ottawa. Many wondered what would happen in what seems to be a lopsided trade.

To join Phillips, the Calgary Flames have made a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Flames have traded 20 year old prospect Patrick Sieloff, 21 year old prospect Tyler Wotherspoon and 27 year old Kris Russel in exchange for Brandon Dubinsky and the rights to Julien Pelletier who currently has 30 goals and 62 points for Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL.

"We hate to give up our prospect and Dubinsky, but we feel that we need some prospects who can be NHL ready in a year or so. We are in a rebuild phase. We wish both Dubinsky and Pelletier well in Calgary" - Jarmo Kekalainen, Columbus GM

Calgary has also made another surprising move. They have shipped their 2015 3rd round pick to Dallas Stars in exchange for Rich Peverley. Peverley has 3 goals and 5 points in 17 games for Dallas.

In other news, the Detroit Red Wings have sent Daniel Cleary to the L.A Kings for a 2015 3rd round pick.

Due to recent loss's, the Ottawa Senators have called up recently acquired goalie Devan Dubnyk from the AHL. He currently has a 1-0-0 record for the Junior Sens. Lehner will get the backup position, while Anderson will take some time off and we can assess his future. He will spot #30, while Lehner will keep his #40
