    Smith heads to Colorado
Zack Smith's career with the Ottawa Senators has come to an end. Just like Greening (Who was traded to Boston), Smith spent the past 2 years in the AHL and wanted some NHL playing time.

"I'm here to play in the NHL. I believe I have talent, and I want to show it. If its not in Ottawa, then I'd like to go somewhere else" - Zack Smith

Smith has been sent to Colorado and may be brought up to play for the big club along with former Sens team mate Marc Methot (Signed 3yr/$8.49M deal with Colorado). The Senators receive a 2016 4th round pick and relieve $1.3M in cap space.

      Dandy Andy Dealt to Toronto!

Craig Anderson has been rumored to be on the move for quite some time. After barley signing an extention last year, Anderson is signed the end of 2017-2018 for $4M a year. After posing record low's (12 wins in 37 games in 2014, 2 wins in 7 games this year), it is no surprise that he was dealt due to Ottawa's lack of winning in recent months and years. Ottawa has also shipped off a 2016 3rd round pick, 2017 5th round pick and a 2018 7th round pick.
In return from Toronto, Ottawa has acquired goalie James Reimer (Going to backup Lehner) for one year, while Dubnyk will be a 3rd string AHL goalie til needed, and AHL prospect 25 year old Brandon Kozun and 27 year old Matt Frattin.

"We wish Anderson the best in Toronto. Unfortunally, he didn't fit our style of play here in Ottawa. We welcome Reimer, Kozun and Frattin to the Senators!" - Noah, Ottawa GM

In other news, Clarke MacArthur was sent on Waivers, and picked up by Buffalo.

          Phillips leaves Calgary!
Chris Phillips era in Calgary has ended. After failing to win a cup last year, Phillips has been moved to Washington for a 2016 3rd round pick. It is believed that Washington will put him on waivers to play in the AHL. More to come....
