However he won't be suiting up as he's nursing a MCL Injury and isn't due back until March 22. San Jose beat Montreal inside the Bell Centre on February 22.

SHARKS rebound with 5-1 Victory over CANADIENS!

              RECAP 3/15/20

San Jose, CA- Martin Jones turned away 40 Shots as the San Jose Sharks(40-22-9) rebounded from back to back losses with a 5-1 Victory over the Montreal Canadiens(35-32-4) on Sunday Night.

Habs Goaltender Carey Price(29-29-4) had 32 saves and did all he could to keep the Sharks at bay after San Jose(40-22-9) took a 2-0 lead off Goals from Justin Callahan(24) and Barclay Goodrow(9).

Price became a brick wall throughout the Second Period to keep the Sharks off the board.

Montreal(35-32-4) got on the board midway through the Second Period when Finnish Star Jesperi Kotkaniemi(9) scored to put the Habs within one.

"Price did everything he could for us but we let him down tonight and that's on us. We need to be much better and score Goals." Canadiens Head Coach Claude Julien stated.

San Jose(40-22-9) kicked the door down in the Third Period and solved Price.

Joe Pavelski(35), Logan Couture(32), and Evander Kane(31) all scored to seal the 5-1 win for San Jose.

"I think once we got in the Third Period we got to playing our game. Carey stood on his head for Montreal so you have to admire his work and play. One of the best in the League." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer stated.

San Jose(40-22-9) will host the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks(22-41-8) on Tuesday Night.

                SHARKS crush BLACKHAWKS 5-1...

                RECAP 3/17/20

San Jose, CA- Martin Jones had 41 Saves, Dennis Seidenberg scored Twice and the San Jose Sharks(41-22-9) beat the Chicago Blackhawks(22-42-8) 5-1 inside the SAP Center on St. Patricks Day.

"Rough loss for us." Blackhawks Head Coach Gordon Bombay stated.

Sharks Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg scored his 6th Goal of the year to give the Fins a 1-0 lead. The 38 year old German Defenseman is in his last year of his Contract and spent time with the AHL San Jose Barracudas last year.

In the Second JJ Hart(7) scored to give San Jose a 2-0 lead.

"We took a 2-0 lead there in the Second and it's tough to score on Corey. I thought he played a pretty good game for them in net. One of the best." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer stated.

Chicago(22-42-8) got on the board with Dylan Strome's 16th Goal of the year.

The Blackhawks struggled on the Power Play tonight going 0/3 including not capitalizing on the 5 on 3.

"Those 3 chances we had just doomed us I thought. When we get a chance to go up and score on the Man advantage we have to capitalize. Tonight we didn't do that." Gordon added.

"The way we killed their Power Play was absolutely great for us and I think that's what kept us in the Game before we really got going in the Third." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer added.

In the Third, San Jose(41-22-9) pulled away for good. Justin Callahan(25), Dennis Seidenberg(7), and Evander Kane(32) scored to seal the Win for the Stanley Cup Champions.

Blackhawks Goalie Corey Crawford had 30 Saves but allowed all 5 Goals.

CANUCKS drop 3rd straight with 4-0 Shutout loss to SHARKS...

                  RECAP 3/19/20

San Jose, CA- Martin Jones had 33 Saves to complete his 4th Shutout of the year as the San Jose Sharks(42-22-9) beat the Vancouver Canucks(23-46-4) 4-0 on Friday Night.

Vancouver(23-46-4) drop to last place in the Western Conference and currently hold a 3 Game slide. The Canucks have 50 Points and mathematically have been Eliminated from the Playoffs for the 5th year in a row.

"It sucks missing out again on the Playoffs. I have no idea what the Future holds for this Franchise." Canucks Head Coach Travis Green stated. "It's out of my hands."

At 50 Points with 9 Games left to play, Vancouver sits 35 Points out of the Playoffs.

San Jose(42-22-9) got on the board midway through the First Period when Evander Kane scored from a Assist by Ryan Carpenter and Tim Heed for a 1-0 lead.

This was Kane's 33rd Goal of the year. In the Second Period, Justin Callahan(26) made it 2-0 in favor of the Sharks.

"Those Goals did us a favor and with the way Joner was playing we felt like we were in control from the start." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer stated.

San Jose ran away in the Third Period when Jay Beagle scored against his former Team with his 11th Goal of the Season.

Beagle was traded to the Sharks back on December 2. Defensemen Erik Karlsson(9) scored also to make it 4-0.

Vancouver struggled on the Power Play going 0/2 as Goalie Thatcher Demko(18-38-2) had 29 Saves and allowed all 4 Goals.

"We shut down the Power Play and that was what really gave us the confidence to keep playing well even when we were a Man short." DeBoer stated.

The Sharks Penalty Kill Unit has dropped drastically over the Season. At 60% it sits dead last in the NHL.

San Jose(42-22-9) will wrap up its Homestand over the Weekend when they host the Arizona Coyotes(40-25-10) on Sunday.

SHARKS bounce back with 7-1 crushing over GOLDEN KNIGHTS..

                                RECAP 3/25/20

Las Vegas, NV- Sharks Netminder Joey Backstrom(17-7-2) had 26 Saves to help the San Jose Sharks(43-24-9) bounce back from back to back losses with a 7-1 drubbing over the Vegas Golden Knights(30-35-11) on Wednesday Night inside the T-Mobile Arena in Sin City.

"That was just a bad performance by us. We were absolute garbage tonight and Screw San Jose. They're a Tool. Peter is a Clown. Screw that Franchise." Golden Knights Head Coach Gerard Gallant stated.

Vegas(30-35-11) is on the verge of missing the Playoffs for the Second year in a row despite having a healthy Roster this year. Mark Stone broke his nose tonight in a fight and will return April 6.

The only other Injury in the Knights Locker Room is William Carrier who is out with a Fractured Ankle and due back April 3.

The Golden Knights(30-35-11) sit in 12th Place in the Western Conference and are about to miss out on Lord Stanley.

"Yeah we know where we are in the Standings and we're not happy." Gallant added.

"You know when you let your feelings cloud your judgment you say things and do things you regret. Gerard (Gallant) is passionate but lately he's more of a prick." Sharks Head Coach Peter DeBoer fired back.

Curtis Sawyer(23) and Logan Couture(34) got the Sharks on the board for a 2-0 lead inside T-Mobile Arena.

In the Second Period it was all San Jose(43-24-9) as Tomas Hertl(19), Ryan Carpenter(9), and Barclay Goodrow(10) made it 5-0 to stun the Vegas Fans.

To close out the 2nd Period, Reilly Smith scored to make it 5-1.

But too little too late as James Carr(13) and Jay Beagle(12) scored in the Third Period to make it 7-1 as Vegas Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury(21-25-7) had 29 Saves but allowed all 7 Goals.

With 5 Minutes left in the Game, Gallant pulled Flower for Backup Rock Jacobs who stopped 2 Shots as Vegas(30-35-11) fell flat on their face.

San Jose(43-24-9) will head to Southern California and play the Pacific Division leading Anaheim Ducks(48-24-4) on Friday night.
