Rumors are Ahmad Dixon is going to decommit from Texas and with Baylor. He is the 94th overall player on Rivals and the 7th best rated safety. He plays at Midway, which is like 7 minutes from Baylor.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
According to Scout, looks like the rumor was true. Ahmad Dixon has switched his commitment from Texas to Baylor.
Thing is, Baylor has to have a good season and get to a bowl game, if not these guys are going to go elsewhere.Comment

I would have loved to have Dixon here, but as far as safeties go..Texas is in great shape anyway.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Not that big of a loss for Texas, in my opinion. They can get pretty much whoever they want, so they'll just move onto the next target.
Interesting to see that, so far, Baylor is outrecruiting Tech after a 4-8 season while Tech had arguably their best season in school history. Briles definitely has the Bears on the right track.Comment

A few years ago QBs' would love to play in the Leach system because of how it would put up great stats, now high schoolers see that it is a system, and no matter how great you play the position..you still won't get drafted by the NFL.
And as for D, Tech will never be a magnet for top notch defensive players as long as Leach is there. More of a landing spot for players who couldn't go to Texas, 0U, aTm, Nebraska, or now...even Baylor.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
I think it's just that we have a few recruits visiting, but they aren't finalized yet.
I don't think there is any huge news, but hopefully there is!
I hope that we get some commits, we need them. I think we have a few silent commits at this point, maybe they will become public this weekend?WUSTLComment

The University of Houston got a commit from Dallas Skyline DT Rodney Williams today. I believe this is the 6th D1 commit from Skyline HS and at least 6 more players from there are expected to go D1.Comment

I'm pretty hyped about UNT getting Javia Hall out of Skyline. They picked up an offensive tackle from there as well if I'm not mistaken.Comment
