Quick question: how the hell do you guys know so much about HS football? I've always been interested in it, but never seemed to find the resources to really keep me up on these kids.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
FSU picked up commitment #2 from OL/DT Ed Christian from Lowndes HS in Valdosta, GA. He was teammates with 2009 commitments 5* CB Greg Reid and 3/4* S Gerald Demps.Comment

I really like what the staff at FSU is doing building pipelines to Byrnes and Valdosta.Comment

West Virginia gets their first verbal for the 2010 class in Quinton Spain. I've heard good things about him, so we'll see. He's a big guy for sure!Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
This thread is a perfect example of why I loathe Ohio State.
He knows that every single recruit in America (And the Virgin Islands) would give both their testicles to play for THE Ohio State University (not to be confused with Ohio State University at Cleveland [no relation])
They're being highly selective with the top 50 because if they offered them all, that'd make recruiting less fun for other schools. In fact they tell some recruits to go to other schools just so college football remains fair. Because if they had their way, they'd get 1-25 of the top 100.Last edited by MtneerManiac; 02-15-2009, 02:10 PM.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Yeah... after Tressel & Co. told him that Nick Montana is Ohio State's QB for the class of 2010.
When Gardiner came to campus in January for the Junior Day the staff was still deciding who to offer, and apparently the word is that the staff wanted a more polished passer... Gardiner will be a great QB if he's given time to develop.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Great fit for the offense and his potential is through the roof. Now if we can get one of QB's from Florida we'll be all set. Don't think Bolden will come if Gardner is there.Comment

Never pay for NCAA 09 Rosters.
Go to Fairdale-Kings.com and Free NCAA09 Rosters for reliable, FREE rosters.
And most of all, DON'T BUY FROM "Gamerosters.com" or "FKRosters.com." The douchebag that owns the site steals them and harasses the makers. Don't be another victim to his scam.

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
Who besides Steve Threet & Mallett are you talking about because I dont understand this? Both were square pegs in a round hole and Threet saw the writing on the wall that he would be splitting time and more then likely by the end of the year not starting and Mallett was the same thing but didnt have as the same head on his shoulders as Threet.Comment

That's just idiotic. UM would have been atleast a bowl team if RR would have just ran a traditional spread with Mallet, easing in his offense, instead of trying to force an offense in which he did not have the personnel.Comment

Re: 2010 Recruiting Thread
He wasn't getting enough love from the staff being #2 on their big board. It's amazing how far its come now where a recruit turns his back on a team when he doesn't have an offer in February.
It'll be interesting to see if he eventually gets an offer and what his reaction will be. If Montana commits, then well never get to see.
As a buckeye fan, I would have rather liked to see Gardner in scarlet and gray, but I'm just a fan, so I have to trust the staff's decisions.Comment
