Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
as far as owls being gay, i don't know about that. maybe...but you are right, Texas will be very dangerous next season, I think they are the class of the BIG 12 and they will win every game on their schedule with the exception of a hiccup against OU and that is questionable. BUT....they aren't hanging 50 on anybody from the SEC in a National Title game, especially if it's Florida's disgustingly good defense.Comment

So using this brilliant logic, stark raving mad homers are the only "real fans."

And yes I'm a Yankee fan so if steriods provide more offense to capture number 27 then I'm all for it, and it's not cheating if everybody does it, lol#WashedGamerComment

Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
LOL, I knew I was going to catch at least one emotional person, Dude do the players go into the season thinking their going to lose?? Probably not, so why should I? I'm not writing any game off because I want to sound smart during a sports forum discussion. It's called upsets for a reason, You Play To Win!! REAL players don't go into the game expecting to LOSE!!
And yes I'm a Yankee fan so if steriods provide more offense to capture number 27 then I'm all for it, and it's not cheating if everybody does it, lol
And that's the difference between fans and players/coaches. A fan's mindset doesn't affect the outcome of the game one bit. The mindset of a player or coach on the other hand...
Michigan will go into Iowa on October 10th at 8:00 at night. The players and coaches will go in there expecting to win. Me? I'm expecting UM to get a mudhole stomped in them. But hey, I guess I'm not a real fan.Comment

Re: Win/Loss prediction for your team
Personally I think the word homer is overused today. Someone can hope for the best but be satisfied with a good season. For Florida State if everything fell into place, the best I think I could see is 11-1, with that loss being to Florida.Comment

I agree with your overall point but I have to ask what makes you think they will get stomped by Iowa. Iowa lost there best player in Shonn Greene and to me they look like a pretty average team this year. Road games at night are certainly tough but I see no reason why Michigan couldn't win that game.My Teams

Why do you even support them then? If you expect to lose, why watch?
If every Michigan fan had your outlook, it would definitely have an effect on the team. To think otherwise is ridiculous.Twitter

Hampton isn't exactly a slouch. WAY too many question marks on defense for Michigan, and they're still very young on offense. Taking a freshman QB into an environment like Kinnick at night is not exactly conducive to victory.
And bull**** on your "if every fan had your outlook" point. Yep, I'm sure the Michigan players and coaches obsessively follow the message boards thinking, "OH MY GOD this guy doesn't think we can win....we obviously can't!"
Regardless, I'm not "every" fan. There's a place for the koolaid drinking people with blinders on, a place for the chicken little naysayers, and a place for the realists in the middle.Comment

Yeah, you'll have to excuse me if I don't take the advice from someone who literally justified being a blind homer. Forgive me for taking a realistic approach instead of the koolaid drinking approach. Michigan should be improved this year, but to expect them to win games where, on paper at this point, they will be at a significant disadvantage, is delusional.

So, i agree with you on your Michigan point other than you might just take a loss to Iowa not neccesarily getting a mudhole stomped in you.
