Re: Player Transfers Thread
He wants to play QB and is a perfect fit for Doeren's offense. The coach at Ark wasn't going to name a qb out of spring ball so he went somewhere he felt he could win the job. NC State has 2 question marks at qb and neither really fit the offense well so the job is pretty much his.YNWAComment

But what makes you think he can be a good Qb as he has showed very little from what bits Ive seen. Heck he didn't even play that position for a year or two did heComment

That explains it, I thought I heard he was losing the Qb at Arkansas even though he thought he was winning. I could be wrong though.

Look at Jordan Lynch at NIU last year. Not a good passer but mobile. The offense at State is predicated on a mobile qb. He won't need to be a fantastic passer to be successful in that offense and there is no question the guy can move.
When you have Tyler Wilson in front of you I don't think it's a knock on you if you don't start. They moved him to WR so he could see the field and run some trick plays.
Also I have no idea if he will be good, but he is an ideal fit based on mobility.Last edited by VTPack919; 05-21-2013, 11:41 AM.YNWAComment

Re: Player Transfers Thread
He's a great athlete with a strong arm, but he never played enough to see if his decision making and accuracy were consistent. He was stuck behind Mallett and Wilson up until this year and came out of spring as the #2 QB, but it was close. He left because he wanted to play QB full-time and start, and we wanted him to help out some at WR. I was hoping he could keep battling for the job (some of our fans wanted him to win it) or at least use him in some wildcat packages. But he also played basketball for us so a lot of fans appreciated him for that.
Here are some highlights of him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5aBK0tVKzk
I do think he's a great fit for Doeren's offense...we used him a lot in the pistol when he was in the gameComment

Re: Player Transfers Thread
I don`t get why Gundy is blocking Lunt from so many schools. Mr. " I`m a man, I`m 40" must be pretty damn insecure. I get it if you don`t want to let a kid go to another team in the conference but why is the SEC, PAC12, and Southern Miss on the list?Comment

I know Todd Monken was his OC last year, which makes it even more mind boggling. They don`t play them, so why would you not want to help out a former assistant of yours?Comment
