This time around, The Big East might actually come out stronger due to the expected TV deal they will get from either ESPN or NBC. I figure if the SEC takes on ACC school, the ACC will look to the Big East (My gut says either WVU, Cuse, or LVille). The Big East might even be proactive and poach a couple of Big 12 teams to get to 12. For those laughing at the Big East talk, they are poised to make a huge deal with NBC, Dwarfing what they get now from ESPN.

    This will def. get interesting...
Couldn't agree more, I think there's going to be upwards of at least 5 teams moving around, maybe even 10.

Makes me wonder where they get their news/how they know this. TTU? Come on over with A&M, but at least let us know what's going on.

How about USF they're one of the upcoming D1A programs and adding them would make up for the loss of 1 of only 2 ACC Florida teams. Plus USF plays Miami every year anyway, So it would make sense.

I'm pretty pumped about a road trip to College Station for a conference game.

Exciting stuff. It'll be interesting which ACC school we snag for our 14th school.

I still say it's one of Clemson, GT, or FSU. Virginia Tech is attractive but their AD seems adamant against it.

Yeah it's only one of the best places to watch a college football game, no one wants to experience that.

LoL. Bring in Baylor to compete with Vandy in a 16 team conference.

I hope A&M goes and it starts the four 16 team conferences. Even though Baylor might be on the outside looking in.

The million dollar question is when would they start playing a SEC schedule? Aren't schedules pretty much set up years in advance....

I could be wrong, but they are changed easy enough. It didn't seem to be much of an issue with all of the other conference movements recently. Colorado does have a game with Cal, but they won't be counting it as a conference game this year.

Kansas and Iowa State offer nothing of interest to the Big Ten outside of Kansas's basketball program. Both are small timers in football, neither have exceptional academics, neither would bring a major market into the B1G's fold.

Texas and Notre Dame are really the only two viable options for further Big Ten expansion at the moment. All the other "possibles" are mediocre at best.

Yeah, they only did it that way so they wouldn't have to find another OOC opponent, since that can be difficult, especially for Cal since they're on the coast. Other than that, they could move the schedule around. If they add A&M/ACC team, they don't have to redo divisions, and they'd be adding a conference game as well. They would simply add in A&M to the SEC West team's schedule, have A&M play the ACC team as one of their crossovers, and then you really only have to change one game on the schedule for 4 teams - 2 east and 2 west are going to have to drop a crossover game and add the new teams. But it's a much smaller schedule overhaul than the Pac 12 or B1G ten had this last year.

Except for those suspicious corps members that grab their own junk. To paraphrase Hank Hill, "Those boys ain't right."

As I read this it reminded me of when I started following the Hogs as a kid. 12th man is an awesome thing, I love how the students get involved. It's almost a family there, kinda like Auburn.
