Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
lol yet OU leaving is perfectly fine, because they are such "victims" of big bad Texas. This is getting quite absurd
UT isnt going to go anywhere unless OU leaves. If that happens, then UT is certainly going to take care of themselves. What the heck do you expect them to do?Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
0U will be the program responsible for killing the Big 12 if they leave
I dont know what the Sooners have to complain about. The conference has been good to the sooners (especially in 2008). It would be ironic if they are leaving in a hissy fit because of the LHN considering the Sooners have been talking for years about starting a network themselves and they voted FOR individual program networks.Last edited by ZB9; 09-14-2011, 01:16 PM.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
I still don't see what the ACC has to gain from this.
You don't need Texas for recruiting purposes. ACC Hoops can stick their foot in any state and pull a 5* recruit. If you were bringing in Texas to open up that state for recruitment, it wouldn't matter... someone got the choice between Big XII/CUSa ball or ACC hoops they are going to Duke they are going to UNC.. etc..
Football wise it's the opposite, you get one game in Texas, and you're telling me the kid you're recruiting is watching a UT home game and picking between you and UT? They're going to choose Burnt orange more times than it's worth. UT will get the first choice everytime...
again, I say they should worry about collecting some Big East schools and make a legit conference as opposed to just adding in a "name" team that's not going to add anything to the pot other than their name.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
Sooners are apparently not angry or dissatisfied with any individual school left in the Big 12, but they are just tired of the drama and are seeking some stability.
I still say the best option for all teams involved is the Big 12 staying together. Everyone is so skiddish now, and the only reason further moves are possible is that everyone is afraid of being walked out on by another school. It's fear feeding more fear.
Do we really think Texas going to the ACC, or Kansas in the Big East, or Oklahoma in the Pac-12 makes the most sense? I guess I'm just too geography-focused.Ryan Spencer

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
the conference could be quite stable if 0U would stop all of this talk about leaving
it will be a logistics nightmare especially in baseball and the olympic sportsLast edited by ZB9; 09-14-2011, 01:37 PM.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
Texas did it to themselves. Ask Nebraska and Colorado why they left the Big 12. I'll give you a hint. It had nothing to do with OU.Comment

Re: A&M to the SEC starting to blow up again on Twitter
example please
Ask Nebraska and Colorado why they left the Big 12. I'll give you a hint. It had nothing to do with OU.
Nebraska going 1-9 against Texas and not being able to compete enough might have had something to do with it, but the main reason is more money
Texas didnt force the Huskers to fire Solich, hire coaches like Callahan, or run their program like crap in the 2000s...but I guess someone has to be blamed for Nebraska's fall to irrelevanceLast edited by ZB9; 09-14-2011, 02:30 PM.Comment
