I don't understand this bill. It's the equivalent of saying, "Don't make me turn this car around. I swear, if you don't knock it off, I will turn this car around."Comment

Not a good look for the Hawkeyes.
Former Iowa running back Akrum Wadley on Monday detailed several allegations of mistreatment by current and former Hawkeyes coaches, writing that "playing for Iowa Football was a living nightmare."

UConn has officially gone back to the Big East.
But since the Big East doesn't have football, UConn football is the newest independent.Boston Red Sox

Less than half of surveyed NCAA leaders support the modernization of rules governing NIL, and more than 80% believe that NIL rules will have a negative impact on amateurism.
I guess there is another hearing today. As reluctant as NCAA is to this, they can't just BS around have Florida play by different rules because NCAA wants to keep status quo. I feel that the Florida bill definitely makes NCAA have to have something in place by early 2021Comment

Re: College Football Off Topic
Even though this was a basketball move, early returns are its an improvement for football as well. Got a TV deal, we've been putting together better/more interesting schedules than we had in the AAC, and recruiting looks like its improving (it had nowhere to go but up, but still)Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

There is too much money for the SEC, ACC, Big 12 to not play some type of schedule. Big Ten and PAC are probably out unless the schools complain enough and the governors give them exceptions.

Big Ten makes more than any of them. Why wouldn't it be too much for them?

There is no reason football can't be played at least at the top schools, the bottom few teams in each conference may no want to spend the money. If schools aren't open, can a college athlete still play? They can easily protect all the players, coaches, etc. It takes everyone living together including coaches. Personal classes for every athlete so they don't interact with others outside of the team.
Will schools or athletes want to do that though? With the southern states open, I suspect they will take the risks and the universities will be open in some format. Not sure about the west coast and northern schools.
