    Re: Week 3 Discussion

With all due respect to Oklahoma, when did they become this unstoppable beast of a team?

The trend seems to be to pick us in an upset or get stomped into the ground by OU. Talent-wise, I think we're at least on par with, if not better than, West Virginia and TCU of last year. Teams that lost by 9 and 3 respectively in Norman last year.

Serious question: Is Oklahoma really that much better this year than it was last year?

I've already said I expect us to lose by two touchdowns. I think Oklahoma is just too good for us right now. But I'll be pretty disappointed in the Vols if another Oregon-like beat down happens Saturday night.

They are getting a lot of mileage out of the beatdown they administered to 'Bama in the Sugar Bowl. That said, I picked them to be in the playoff…I just think Bob Stoops is a good coach and they have a lot of talent. I expect the Vols to hang tough for a half or so, but in the end I can see OU covering.

Probably because UT has proven nothing but that they are a average team for many years now. While OU is coming off a big win off Bama that media and Stoops won't let go

UT will keep it close for a half but they are just to young and still on the rebuild to hang with a established OU team.

I think OU pulls away pretty big by the end of the game

I've never seen a CFB program get more mileage out of a bowl win in the 20+ years I've been watching the sport as OU has gotten from that Sugar Bowl win. It's pretty amazing.

I think OU is good, but I think the media needs to pump the brakes on Stoops' crew just a tad. OU has a history of being hyped into an unstoppable machine, then inevitably drops a "WTF?" game at some point in the season.

As exciting as the Baylor/Buffalo, LSU/La Monroe type games are....I'm ready to get into the meat of the CFB schedule.

Thank goodness conference play is gearing up.

Cincy is finally playing his first game of the season and they lead Toledo 20-0 after one quarter. I'm a bit surprised it's that bad of a game.

                Baylor/Buffalo should be good tonight.

As a side note, Baylor's non-conference schedule is pathetic. SMU, Northwestern State, and Buffalo. That's the best you can do??? SMH.

I was hoping the Cincy game would be good since we know we'll be changing the channel after Baylor is up by a similar score after the first quarter. Just resigning myself to an impending night of madden.

Gunner Kiel with a pedestrian 16/19 294 Yds, 4 TDs in the first half as UC leads Toledo 41-7.

Looks like Baylor is quickly pulling away, too.

It seems like they and Texas Tech almost always have awful non-conference schedules (though I do see TTU is playing Arkansas this year). In fact, the Big 12 in general aside from Oklahoma seems to have this problem oftentimes.

Yeah, but I have a feeling that'll change soon with the playoff.

I wonder if Baylor could break Oklahoma's scoring record of 702 points. They were 21 points away last season.

Through the first 3 games, Baylor is at 178 points and Oklahoma was at 164.
