Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
I agree, Virginia would beat Vandy. A lot of people are buying into what their asinine coach is spewing. Whoo hoo. Vandy won more than 5 games for only the 5th time in over 60 years. They still finished with a losing record and lost to a lackluster Tennessee team late in the season. Their biggest win was Wake Forrest who lost 5 of their last 6 games. C'mon, Vandy will start the season 1-6. I doubt they win 5 games. Heck, UMass might beat them.
Now.. about the ratings.. EA is out of their freaking mind. A 77 OVR for Vandy while UK and Ole Miss are 83 OVR?!?! We beat Ole Miss 30-7 and Kentucky 38-8 last year, and the scores of those games this year are going to be very similar. There isn't one skill player on UK or Ole Miss that I would take over any skill player on VU. That is beyond rediculous!!Comment

Purdue beat Ohio State last year (again) and won 7 games without their starting quarterback. They bring back almost everyone. Purdue and Wisconsin will compete for the Leaders division.GT - Douglas FreshhhComment

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
If you think Vandy is going 1-6 out of the gate, you're crazy. Under Rodgers (the last 8 games - UGA, Army, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wake Forest, and Cincinnati) we averaged 30.6 points per game and 406 yards per game.. and we have EVERYBODY back on offense except Barden who had a lackluster season. We get Warren Norman (starting RB in '09 and '10) back and believe me you will know who Josh Grady and Kris Kentera are after we beat South Carolina on Aug. 30. Yes we lost Marve, Hayward, and Richardson on defense but the guys replacing them played a ton of snaps last year (Garnham, Hal, Ladler). Our defense will be better than last year.. faster more athletic. VU is going 8-4.

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
Yeah, we definitely need a roster fix. How in blue blazes is Rice a 2*? They've won ONE bowl game in upwards of 50 years. They haven't had more than 4 wins in a season since Chase Clement and Jarrett Dillard left. This one's making the WSU guy look justified.Texans - Cougars - Astros - Rockets - Dynamo - Chelsea - LightningComment

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
Another year of re-rating rosters.......
How in the world can a 175 pound person have 70 strength but a 212 pound person have 63 strength ?
But yet that 212 pound person has 92 agility ?
Defensive Ends with 78 and 80 speed ?
Too many players once again have 90 plus speed. Ratings need to follow logic and match a player's position and weight.Comment

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
the vandy guy has a point, other than that insane win over south carolina prediction, have we ever seen a team have two 30 point wins over conference foes one year and then be drastically rated lower than them the next. vandy does get the shaft in the ratings year to year even for their all sec caliber players who are rated like average starters just because they play for vandy.Comment

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
The teams that are 6 stars now are completely baffling. How do Clemson, Miami (FL), and Boise get 6? What did Miami do last year to push up like that?
On the bright side, for the first time ever, Arkansas State starts off as a 2 star. So that's pretty great I guess.Red Wolves | Broncos | Cubs | Grizzlies | Predators | Liverpool FC | Sporting KCComment

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
I guess they really hate Georgia Tech. 7 teams ahead of us? We lost 4 starters and will be in the hunt for the ACC just like every year. NC State Virginia and UNC being ahead of us REALLY throws me off. Virginia beat us last year but we have the better team.Comment

Re: NCAA Football '13-Team Ratings
That's what I was saying earlier. I'm a fan of both the Irish and Longhorns and think both are quite overrated by EA. Both will have solid to very good defenses, but their problems are on offense (both of which were rated way too high by EA/Tiburon).NCAA: Minnesota, Minnesota St-Mankato
NBA: Wolves
NHL: Minnesota North Stars (undefeated since 4/16/93), Wild
MLB: Twins, Dodgers
NFL: Vikings
MLS: Minnesota United
