Reason I'm asking: I need a left guard but there's not a lot of highly rated left guards left out there. That said, I have a highly rated right guard who is very interested in my school, so it'd be nice just to be able to sign him and slide him over if necessary.
You can change positions after signing day/before offseason training/progression. Switching a RG to LG should not impact ratings. Switching C/G/T amongst offensive line positions will see minor gains/reductions in ratings. You can even play any of your offensive lineman at any OLine position in the depth chart without changing their position. You'd still see the increases/decreases in ratings that you'd see if you changed their position.

First season through dynasty and my recruiting class was fourth worst in the nation, then mid 20's, and just got the #10 class.

        Thanks for the tips, fellas.

A few more questions for you guys:

          1. Does the Recruiting Needs page accurately update as recruits commit? For instance, if my needs show that I need 1 quarterback, then 1 quarterback verbally commits, does the page update to show 0 needs at quarterback? I swear sometimes the needs numbers change without any commitments occurring while other times it seems like they don't change upon commitments.

          2. Should I clear/remove verbal commits from the Recruiting Board? Or do I need to keep them there until they fully sign? Guessing the latter.

          3. If a recruit commits to another school, thus locking me out, is there anything I can do on my end to change that or is that pretty much all she wrote? Should I remove those guys from my recruiting board?

Speaking of changing positions, I scrolled through all the positions and couldn't find my ATHs during the position change part of the offseason so they all just slotted in at QB/HB as their archetype dictated. At first I was worried they were gone from the roster entirely but they showed up when the season started.

You have to sort them on the main roster screen and you will see them at the top/bottom.

I honestly don't know that we need a ton of house rules. Playing with JMU coming off of my best season (7-6), I had the 53rd best class. Some might think that to be too good for JMU but my classes are getting worse. Year 1 was around 40th. Year 2 was in the upper 40s then Year 3 was 53rd.

The main thing was my initial search for was kids that had JMU in their top 10 then I filtered that for "my pipelines". If I add anyone later it's exclusively from "my pipelines".

The biggest house rule I see is no scrambling athletes. The 4* with no offers midseason even then if a big school jumps in with a 2* you will likely lose them. The 3* prospects are likely going to be at user discretion since most are rated in the 60's

Though when I was Georgia I racked up the instant commits, 15, 16 at the the start all 5 and 4 stars.
I've not unlocked the insta commit perk so unfortunately I can't help. With army I'm rarely #1 on any list and with South Carolina I was and got one or two per year. So I think by defaul the bigger school will help with that

That's what my sophomore starting QB came in as. that was before I switched back to coach mode. I suck at passing but I really wanted to play QB so I figured a scrambler would be helpful. Now, I've given up and gone coach mode dynasty and HB in road to glory. All is right w/ the world.

I think my biggest house rule this year is that I have to recruit the black guy even if the white guy is better.

                      Seriously....

Something is wonky in the code. Every skill position guy I've brought on my first three years is a white guy.

I actually find I'm better when I don't have a scrambling QB and limited speed. I think when I have a fast QB I know I can use that to get out of stuff. When its someone that isn't forces me to find the right guy to throw to.

If you're a top tier program, do not waste your valuable hours scheduling visits.

Only if you have the time and foresee a tight battle with one or two teams.

I've found that I can land the top class or top 5 without scheduling a visit. Key is to find those 3 pitches for the hard sell. There are ways to find out what the 3 pitches are without actually having them unlocked.

I'm really gonna test this out in my next season of recruiting. I've been told we should schedule ASAP, but I've noticed I've missed out on some recruits before they even visit to me. Also seen some players commit to another school before they visit that school and after my visit even though it was an A+ pitch.

I know what a Scrambling QB is, whats the difference between a Field General and Improviser ? Are these the only 3 QB traits, or whatever label they give it?
