Re: How is your dynasty going

The Georgia Bulldogs have done it! They are your new SEC Champions! This game was not easy. It was a hard fought battle until the end. #1 Georgia went against their biggest rival, #9 Georgia Tech, in the SEC Championship game. In their previous meeting in the regular season, Georgia thrashed Georgia Tech 50-24. But not this time, as Georgia Tech gave everything they had to try to win. At halftime, Georgia was up 22-16. In the 3rd quarter, Georgia scored a touchdown and 2 point conversion to make it 30-16. In the fourth quarter, Georgia Tech scored back to make it 30-23. However, with only over a minute to go, Georgia scored one last touchdown to seal the win. Georgia wins 37-23.

Georgia won their first SEC Championship with Head Coach Bruce. The only downside is that LSU, who beat Georgia in the game last season, had an average season this year and wasn't qualified to be in the game. One day though, Georgia will have revenge against them. But now they'll have to look at their next opponent who, just like Georgia Tech, faced Georgia in the regular season. In the BCS National Championship game, it will be #1 Georgia Vs #2 Oklahoma (Reminder: Bruce faced Oklahoma in the National Championship game back when he was Off. Coordinator for South Carolina).

Going to be gone for a few days so I probably won't play against Oklahoma until Monday or Tuesday. But unlike many other teams, you're going to get a shootout every time you face those Sooners. Fact: They occupy at least 3 or 4 spaces in my ESPN Instant Classics.

          Welp.

After the loss to Alabama, the team has been rolling along, blowing out Ole Miss, Auburn, and Mississippi State

Alabama lost in back to back weeks (To LSU and Miss State), but that doesn't mean were back in the national title hunt. It just means that as long as I can beat LSU this week, we'll play in the SEC Title Game.

The thing about that is, in each of my previous 3 seasons coaching at Arkansas, I have not once beat LSU. Hopefully, our luck will change this season.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Started a dynasty with Arkansas St(all-American). I went through the teams and picked teams I had interest in that were no better than a 3-star. I ended up drawing ark. At. Out of a hat. Started the dynasty with a created coach. I run the run and shoot offense.. Looked at the roster and realized we have some potential. Alot of my starters are sophomores. So I start out against Ball State at home. Final was 27-22, me being victorious. Not alot if eye popping stats. QB Fredi Knighton had 133 passing, 2 tds and 4 picks. (Yikes) but did have 60 yards rushing. RB David Oku had 128 rushing, 1 TD. My defense was the primary reason why I won. 2 picks. One to the house(Hayes). And 2 fumble recoveries. Stellar play by them.

              Second game: oh boy.

Go into Penn State. Go up 7-0 on a pick 6. They score 21 unanswered. Score stays 21-7 Going into the 4th. With 3 mins left I score with Oku. Go for 2, stopped short. Go for the onside, got it! We got ourselves a ball game. March down the field and Oku scores again with a minute left. Penn State starts they're drive at the 25. Second play of the drive, they run a corner and my boy Hates picks it off diving out if bounds. ( he had 3 picks on the day!) so with ~50 seconds left I get the ball at their 45, run the ball to the 25. Make a field goal as time expires and I start out 2-0. That's where I stand right now. About to play another game and I'll keep you posted!

Just started a Duck dynasty (hehe) after laying off this game for several weeks.

After 3 games I lead the league in points scored 50/game, total offense, rushing and Marcus Mariota is the early favorite for the Heisman.

                Speed kills indeed.

Re: How is your dynasty going

So here's a little update. Now bare with me, I just got done working so don't completely remember the details on my previous game and tired so I won't get into much detail... But in week 3, Troy came to my place. Needless to say there isn't much good to come from this. Very unfortunate in many situations, the ball Didnt bounce my way. Had a couple costly fumbles, lost track of the clock while driving in the second quarter... I ended up losing 28-20... Also I lost my starting runningback, David oku for the year with a broken collarbone. That hurt...

So going into week 4 and facing THEE Ohio State @ the horseshoe, wasnt expecting too much of a game from myself.. But the red wolves prevailed. Ended up winning 49-42 and my backup Sirgregory Thornton had a huuuuuuuge game carrying the ball 32 times for 210 yds and 3 scores. And somehow I got a passing game going which I thought was non existent. Some details from what I remember was I scored in the 2nd quarter to go up 21-14. After a big 3 and out I got the ball back and marched down the field to score just before half. It went back and fourth in the 2nd half until in the fourth quarter, being up 42-28, OSU got a score from Hyde. To make it a 7 point game. On the ensuing kickoff, I get caught in a pile, fumble and Carlos Brown returns it for 6. Turns out the carrier was down before the ball came out. Keep possession, march down the field, score. stay up by 2 scores. Ohio state ends up scoring as times expires but it doesn't matter and I go onto beat #2(!) OSU. Next game I play The U at home. They're ranked 22. If I didn't suffer that embarrassing lose to Troy and end up beating Miami, I actually might have a decent shot at being ranked. I guess well find out when I update next...

                    Til next time,

                    -Kyle

Lost to Ohio State on the road, 28-16, beat Purdue 45-20. Played Notre Dame on the road at a Neutral Site Stadium, my home stadium Soldier Field, beat them on a last second play 38-35. Next week ranked #24, lose to Wisconsin at home 35-10. Play on the road at the Battle of Chicagoland game at Northwestern.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I'm 9 weeks into my dynasty and I must say, playing as Georgia State has been one of the most disheartening experiences I've ever had with a videogame.

I haven't owned an NCAA game since '11, or a new once since '09. I don't have a PS2 at the moment, but I've enjoyed playing NCAA 07 up to this year. Finally decided to get a new game, and I'm impressed much more than I was playing '12 (I didn't play '13). I like that they've fixed some of the bugs regarding the no-huddle and created playbooks. Altogether, I'm having a great time. But playing as GSU, man...

I'm 2-6. 2-1 against FCS schools. The two wins came to open the season, before I started using some Heisman sliders I found here. Now, mind you, in real life GSU is 0-2 against these same schools. If I don't win another game (very, very, very likely), I may still win more than they do in real life.

My team showed some life against Troy (lost 30-21) and against ULM (lost 50-14, but was only down 17-14 at halftime; got a three-and-out to start the second half, but couldn't capitalize and got railroaded), but has gotten blown out pretty consistently. I simmed the back third of my game against Texas State (lost 46-26; was 39-10 when I hit the "maybe next time" button) and ULM (score aforementioned). Part of why I super-simulated is that that seems to be the only way the CPU will sub-out starters. T.J. Yeldon ran for 200+ and five or six touchdowns against us when we played Bama (the only shutout of the season: 62-0).

Hopefully, I can beat South Alabama to avoid finishing last in the conference, but that is by no means a sure thing.

I like that the new recruiting is like the old PS2/X-Box recruiting. I guess it's a little less personal, but it seems more efficient and I like how scouting works.

I'm enjoying the game, my personal failures with my team notwithstanding, but the initial contract expects 5 wins/season. That seems mad unrealistic. I'll be sated if I can get that by year three. I've been running a spread no-huddle offense with a little bit of pistol. One of my QBs (74 spd) leads my team in rushing with 440 yards; he's thrown for 545 yds, 5 TDs, six picks. The number one back has 408. The other QB has thrown for 1186, 3 TDs, and 12 picks.

I've experimented with different defenses. I think the 4-2-5 has the capacity to be the most effective but it may also be the most difficult (as also shown by TCU, S. Car, Ok St, Baylor). I like the 3-4, but my players are undersized and that seems to have a tad more of an effect than in years prior. I appreciate the realism. My custom PB has 4-3 and 3-4 as base; nickel sets are 2-4-5, 3-3-5 stack, and nickel-strong.

I've only signed two kids but lead in 14 of the 18 battles I'm in. This team is so bad that 1- and 2-star prospects will be contributing from day one. lol. Happy dynasty'ing.

I'm having great success with Army in year three. Went undefeated until week 11 losing against Louisville. I was also ranked #1, but got knocked down to #6. Playing the conference championship game against UCF.

Just played my first game as Maryland.
I'm not that good of a player but I'm playing on a tough slider set so I can challenge myself all the time. The first game was rough, I expected a win against ECU but got nowhere near it. It could've been different if I hadn't screwed up in the first half but whatever.

Now, I have a question. My season goal is 8 wins and I'm not sure I'll achieve that number.. What happens if I don't? Do I get fired?

Re: How is your dynasty going

I just started a USC Dynasty. I might do a topic for it on the dynasty section.

This is a dynasty in NCAA 14 using the USC Trojans, and my custom coach Boss McBoss.

                              Week one versus Hawaii summary:
                              First Quarter:
Max Wittek TD pass to Marquise Lee for a score.
                              Second:
TD Hawaii. Quick 2 yard pass.
                              Marquise Lee 40 yd touchdown.
                              Third:
                              FG USC
                              Fourth:
                              Hawaii 8 yard passing touchdown
                              Marquise Lee kick return touchdown
                              Hawaii 13 yard touchdown run
Silas Redd 5 yard TD run
Silas Redd 15 yard TD run
                              Final Score: 38-21

                              Skill Upgrades:
After the game, the coach earned three upgrades. I used them to upgrade the first scouting skill to the max.

Next Game preview: The next game is at home versus Washington State. The USC Trojans must prepare to take on the high flying WSU Offense and get better at pass defense. Also next week, see how my coach levels up and how I upgrade his skill tree!

                                Louisville(When Cparrish rosters come out)
                                LOUISVILLE

                                Eagles
