Re: How is your dynasty going

Game 1 was a triple OT thriller! We won 69-67 over Maryland. I thought this game was going to be a blowout early! And not the good kind. We got the only points in the first quarter coming on a 20 yard field goal. After that it was seemingly all down hill. They got a 42 yd FG, 4 yd TD run, 67 yard interception return for a TD, a 25 yd FG, and a 6 yd TD pass. Before I knew it I was down 27-3 with 1 minute left in the first half. That's when I just exploded. Drove down the field and Jake Medlock, my QB, got a 4 yd TD run. Went for 2 and didn't get it so I figured go into halftime down 27-9, bad, but not as bad as it could've been. Next thing I know my offense is running back onto the field. Was able to score again on a 25 yd TD pass and with the XP it was 27-16 going into the half. After that my defense got a quick stop and I got back out there and got a 66 yd TD run, again Medlock. I was then able to drive back downfield twice in a row. Unfortunately I only came away with 2 FG's, They would get a 64 yd TD run and fail the 2 pt. so after 3 it was 33-29. By this point Medlock had been knocked out of the game so my backup E.J Hilliard was in. To open up the 4th quarter he threw a pick 6 my 4th int of the day and my 2nd to get returned. I responded with a 2 yd TD run from Hilliard and I got the 2 pt. They got a 21 yd TD pass and was up 47-37. I then got another TD this time a 22 yd pass. I got the ball back score 47-44 with a minute thirty left. Drove down got to the 1 tried a QB blast and was stuffed for a 2 yard loss. Called a time-out with 2 seconds left(went to the pause menu to do it because I didn't want to take a chance) My kicker nailed the 20 yard kick and we're going to OT. Won the toss and chose offense which is what I always do because I have confidence in my offense to go and score a TD and I feel the game always comes down to a 2nd OT. Able to score on a 10 yd TD pass, they answered with an 11 yd pass as well as a 7 yd pass. Got the ball and got a 5 yd rushing TD. Next drive I get a 7 yd TD pass and on the 2 pt I could've sworn my HB Coleman was stopped short. I was horrified because my D couldn't stop them. They said Coleman got in though so on their next possession they would need to score the 2 pt. My D almost stopped them before a 19 yard TD came on a screen play on 3rd and 14. On the 2 pt. one of my D-Linemen hit C.J. Brown as he was throwing it and I won 69-67 in 3 OT. Despite Hilliard leading the finish of the comeback Medlock has earned the starting spot and since he isn't listed on the Injury report, he will start this week as FIU plays host to #12 UCF. I'll have to take care of the ball as I threw 4 picks last week.
BTW I will probably post the box score as well as a write up on Saturday. Also if anyone has a 2007 Florida Gators playbook that I could use that would be awesome.

I started a dynasty a couple weeks ago, where all I do is recruit and sim the games. I am now in my 29th season and have won 16 national championships. I am trying to get the 60 year dynasty.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I've always belonged to long term fantasy keeper leagues in various sports so I know that I'd like to join an On line Dynasty. I've mentioned a few times that I'm a noob to the game. I've looked at the On-Line threads above but there was no generic on-line discussion thread to ask this question so I'll ask it here.

Are there any OD that would accept a noob? You guys know I already ask a bunch of questions and I'm sure that I'd have some with an OD. Ultimately, I know that I should wait until I get more experience with the game play however I already feel so behind that I feel like I need to learn on the fly.

Mods can you move this if there is a more appropriate thread that I couldn't find?

I started a Dynasty as the OC of the UCF knights. I am currently 4-0 & ranked #6 after beating Georgia (35-25) Clemson (54-49) Penn State (55-37) South Carolina (44-34) & Memphis (50-40) & now I am getting ready to play Louisville.

Blake Bortles has thrown for over 3028 yards he has 18 TD's & 11 interceptions.

I need to find a good speed back. 2nd year of my SJSU dynasty I cant hit the edge for nothing. Have no running-backs above 86 sp, agility or accel. Whats the fastest 1-2 star running-backs you guys have seen. I cant pull in any good 4-5* backs with 90+ speed.

There's typically a few 2* guys around 4.40. I had a big HB year a couple seasons ago, getting a 4* guy with speed and power, a 3* guy with just speed, and a 2* with decent speed (87 or 88) but was like 5'11" 235 lbs, so I moved him to FB and RS'd him. Having speed at FB for I-formation is big, at least for me.

With my terrible o-line I need a 95+ speed type of guy to get to the outside. I have a 88 spd rb now but he ain't cutting it. I am using San Jose St so I dont think ill be getting any 4* backs any time soon.

You can get a 4 star or even 5 star. Sometimes the CPU doesn't recruit some recruits hard or CPU doesn't recruit them at all. At the start of the season look for the 4 stars and 5 stars that have the lowest locked %. This means that even tho they aren't currently interested in you, they are open to other schools and are far away from committing. It's not guaranteed but gives you a decent chance.

Go to the ncaa online dynasty forum section, I'm sure there's leagues that have open slots. Usually leagues don't care if you are a noob and not a pro, the main focus of good leagues is that you can handle a loss regardless of your skill level. No league want guys that quit against the CPU instead of taking the loss or complain when another player beats them.

Am I reading this wrong, or does Blake Bortles have 3000 yards in FOUR Games? That puts him on pace to throw for about 10,000 on the season.

Seems a like a lot, eh?

Well, I would say just create a really fast 1 or 2-star back.
