Re: How is your dynasty going
Year 3 (Year 1 as Fresno State OC) went about as well as how you look at it. Started the season with an OT loss to UCF. Then reeled off 9 straight wins behind the play of Sr RB Marteze Waller (1464 yds, 23 TDs (school record)) and RS Sr WR Davante Adams (1878 yds (school record), 17 TDs (school record), Biletnikoff winner). At that point it's looking like we're going to cruise to the MWC title and a possible BCS berth, but then we lose our last two games at home and back our way into the Championship game (that we now have to play on the road instead of at home). Played New Mexico in the CCG, and had to ride Adams for a comeback win. Ended the year with a 52-49 loss to BYU in the Poinsetta Bowl (Whoever the DC is needs to be fired). 10-4 is a good year, but with a schedule that was an F grade (I'm not doing schedules until I become a head coach), I expected more.
Zack Greenlee led the nation in passing yards by almost 1000 (broke David Carr's season passing yards record with 4857), but too many costly INTs has me leaning towards benching him unless he has a great spring (and I have a QB with 96 QB ACC coming in).
Other causes for what probably led to our slump at the end of the year is our O-Line play (couldn't get no time, even with the pass blocking skill maxed out) or me being the best coach on staff (Boise OC Robert Prince was hired as the HC, but then Boise fell off this season with Chris Peterson still there, going 5-7). Either way, we ended up with the #1 Offense and #4 Scoring Offense in the nation, but our defense didn't give us any help.
Okay, enough about my team

I had an epic win vs Boise st, beating them 77-71 in 5OT. I'm about to play the San Jose st shoot out, but like the game in real life this game can't hurt our conference standings. Waller is a heisman finalist for me (????) Carr is leading the ncaa in passing. Adams, burse and Harper each have 1000 yds receiving. I'm thinking I'll probably look for a head coaching job, but Waller Adams and Harper beeing underclassmen could keep me in Fresno. If I do stay I'll probably let green lee, Myles Carr (no relation to the first family of FS (surprisingly), and a three star recruit battle it out for the QB position

Re: How is your dynasty going
Tough loss without Adams. Had to play a WR at QB in second half. I'm going to take a break from this for a while after two tough games.

Re: How is your dynasty going
The 2020 Akron Zips have won 5 straight after an 0-2 start, including road wins at Kent State (battle for the Wagon Wheel) and consecutive road wins at Ball State and at Western Michigan. This week, the Zips return home to host the struggling Bowling Green in some MAC-tion. A win gets the Zips to six wins, their win total last year, which was not reached until the final game of the regular season, a road win at (guess who) Bowling Green. Despite a six win season, and qualifying for a bowl, Akron was not in a bowl game last game. The Zips hope it's a different story this year, aiming to make their third ever bowl appearance.Ravens: In Ozzie We Trust

Re: How is your dynasty going
Started a new dynasty as OC at UL-Lafayette we're currently 7-2 in my first year. I'm gearing up to restart my game against Georgia State which froze in the second quarter. I think I'll stay at ULL unless my alma mater (Pitt) offers me the HC spot.

I would say stay, because upperclassman Davante Adams is one of the most fun players I've had.Last edited by justblaze09; 01-05-2014, 10:58 AM.Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

Re: How is your dynasty going
No I didn't start a WR at QB. I moved my starting WR off the depth chart and put him in a QB in the second half. I had too, he was better then my 3rd string QB and my backup couldn't move the ball. I've actually done it before with my old BYU option dynasty. We had lost Taysom Hill for like 8 weeks and we didn't have another QB who could run so I put my best throwing WR at QB. You can't run no-huddle though cause when they get tired they come out of the game.NCAA-Ohio State

Re: How is your dynasty going
I'm thinking about doing a team builder dynasty with my current school, the University of Nebraska-Omaha. UNO cut football and wrestling in a controversial move from D1 to D2 athletics in 2011, but I decided I could play as if it were never cancelled. Conspiracy theorists suggest that UNO AD Trev Alberts (a former Husker) did away with UNO's football program as instructed by Tom Osborne. I don't know if that was really they case, but it garnered enough attention that ESPN Outside The Lines did a report on it. Read here if you're interested: http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?s...60&src=desktop
I will make UNO and UNK (Nebraska-Kearney, former D2 rival) and replace two independent schools with them in my next dynasty. Can't wait to play it out!Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
I think I'm going to place them as independents to start. I just made both schools on teambuilder from the "Cupcake" shell roster with randomized names. I haven't started yet as my ps3 has been in for repair but I'm on my way to go pick it up now!----------------------
