Re: How is your dynasty going

Started a 2nd dynasty because my first one was getting stale. Chose to be the OC at Army, had a successful year at 9-4 with a win in the Beef O'Brady Bowl against Tulsa. As far as who won what:

    National Champions: OSU over Oregon
    Heisman: Braxton Miller
    ACC: Maryland
    AAC: Louisville
    Big XII: Kansas State
    SEC: South Carolina
    Pac-12: USC
    MWC: Boise State
    MAC: Ball State
    C-USA: Rice
    Sun Belt: UL-Monroe

As far as the final AP Top Ten:
    1. Ohio State
    2. Miami
    3. Oregon
    4. Alabama
    5. South Carolina
    6. Boise State
    7. Maryland
    8. Kansas State
    9. Auburn
    10. Washington

As far as my team went, we didn't have no real standouts. Raymond Maples led the team in rushing with 1019 yds and 10 TDs, but the offense struggled as we didn't have consistent QB play. Alex Meier won the Butkus Award, but since that was super sim stats, I really don't count it.

Steve Spurrier retired and BILL SNYDER LEFT KSU TO GO TO USCe. Dan Mullen went to PSU after they fired Bill O'Brien. Ball State HC Pete Lembo took over for Snyder at KSU, while Luke Fickell was hired by TCU. Gary Patterson in turn takes Fickell's old job at OSU. I decide to stay at Army, as I'm trying to take it slow. Year 2 should be fun.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I swear the game hates me. I was up 28-0 on Vandy, then our star RB gets hurt for the game. Out back up fumbled for a TD. Then i ran the option and our QB fumbled and Vandy scores. Then They recover an onside kick. Then, they score and with Just under 2 minutes left they kick off and our return man fumbles and vandy scores with 28 seconds left. 28-28, But thats okay. cause we drove and were going to kick a field goal, But it was blocked. how is it that ive played since 08 and have never had a FG blocked till now? so in OT we trade blows up until the 3rd Ot where Vandy scored, got the 2 off of 3 broken tackles, then as i was driving i threw to a wide open man in the touchdown and it was tipped and Vandys corner made a play and it was over 50-42

We were # 24 and fell to 4-1 on the season while Vandy grew to 4-1 on the season.
        NCAA:Tennessee Volunteers
        MLB:Baltimore Orioles
        NBA:Boston Celtics

Re: How is your dynasty going

So I just started this Texas State dynasty running the spread option cause I thought it would be fun. I changed my difficulty to Heisman instead of All-American like I usually play on. My first game is vs. an FCS school. First play of the game is a triple option that my quarterback pitches the ball at the defender who recovers the fumble and runs for six. A couple of times through the game my receivers don't even look for the ball and the CPU picks it off. My kicker missed an extra point and when my coach finally let me go for two in the fourth quarter my running back gets tackled in the end zone, fumbles and the CPU recovers in the end zone and says its no good.(I ran the ball and he was two steps into the end zone. Whatever, my defense finally makes a couple of stops, sort of. FCS gets two field goals. I have 1:39 to go 80 some yards and score and get the two point. I score with six seconds left. Line up to go for two and chose the triple option. My running back had a huge hole on the give so I press A to give it to him and my quarterback MISSES THE HANDOFF AND JUST STANDS THERE LIKE A ******* HOLDING THE BALL OUT IN FRONT OF HIM. So now I'm going to lose 55-53 because the computer actually cheated me out of a win and my defense can't stop them. So I'm here to ask, should I just quit and restart ( I paused right after that last two point) or should I just take the stupid loss?

The triple option glitch where the QB freezes with the ball out I believe is caused by either no huddle or flipping the play/audible the play. I forgot exactly.

Nope I just called the play out of a 2 pt. conversion. Should I just quit?

I'm usually not a fan of quitting a loss since losing keeps the game fresh. BUT in a situation like this quitting is acceptable. It was out of your hands what happened and not your fault. Never in a real game you would see the QB freeze and hold the ball out and not move. So if it was me, I would quit it/restart.

This may be common knowledge but until I got this game two weeks ago, I've only played FIFA (don't hold it against me).

I've said this for a couple of years. When you up your difficulty, the CPU does not really play better - it makes your team WORSE - which should never be the case. I see it's the same for this game - which is a shame.

Also....did you mean North Texas? Because that's who I may use in my dynasty next. Maybe.

No Texas State. I chose them because they had a faster running back and more uniform options.

Okay so I played the rematch and won 72-24! I'm pissed, I had 41 first downs, 349 rushing yards and 478 passing yards. Yeah I had two turnovers but that was about it. I could have stayed on All-American and won by the same score but given up fewer points. So I've decide to quit this dynasty.

I want to play on Heisman running an Air Raid offense. I need to come up with a school. Preferably one with cool uniforms, few recruiting needs, coach who has a good recruiting tree, and/or one with accurate quarterback. Please help me with coming up with a school.

                              New year, new dynasty.

I went old-school, default Heisman with 5-minute quarters. Starting with FIU and I'll see where I go.

Lost the opener to Maryland, but I gave them a game.

Started a recruiting only dynasty with Tennessee last week. I was fired after three years lol. I went 5-7, 7-6, and 5-7. During the carousel I took the defensive coordinator job at Clemson. They went 14-0 the previous year and won the championship. I had a top 5 recruiting class at the end of the first season, along with the #1 defense, including passing and rushing yards allowed, and points per game allowed. Clemson beat Navy in the NC. Another 14-0 year. I had several head coaching job offers, but I wanted to see how my recruits did. Went 13-1, loss was to Florida State, and beat Northern Illinois in the NC. So Clemson wins it's third straight championship. 41-1 in 3 years. This year I had the #1 recruiting class by far. Had 5 guys 80+ ovr commit. One in particular is a 6'5 220 lb. safety. 93 spd, 90 pur, 90 hit power. This guy is a monster. So I decided to stay at least one more year, despite HC offers from Miami, South Carolina, and Kansas State. I plan on playing some games this year just to see how this monster safety plays out.
