Re: How is your dynasty going

Started Season 2 of my Tar-Heels Dynasty last night and had 2 tough games. Made some changes in my sliders to make what was already a tough start even tougher.

1st change injuries. Changed all my players injuries to 30 for the whole team. Didn't have a single injured in season 1 and that's not real. So far in the 1st 2 games of season 2 i have had to use multiple guys on defense and all 4 of my running-backs.

    Beat south Alabama 34-28
    Beat UTSA 34-21

Next up I got to #12 Georgia Tech where I imagine Ill get it handed to me.

Sorry to sound so naive but how are you guys getting your stat graphics from the console to the computer like @cparrish and some of you others?

          Thanks.

Is there a link for a tutorial to use Generators? Or something like it?

EDIT: Nevermind. I think I found it.

National Championship in my 4th year at GaTech. I was getting bored so I wanted to make a move after the title game (Wisconsin & Ariz St jobs offered). I decided to stay another year...my defense was so bad during preseason that I decided to sim the 5th season and just take a job elsewhere. Went 6-5 and got Aub and TCU offers which I did not want (I REALLY, REALLY wanted that Wisconsin job and don't know why I didn't do it initially). I wasn't really sure how the whole coaching carousel worked to begin with. Long story short: I worked my butt off 4 years to put together a 41-3 record at Tech (before simming my final season) and now I'm at a crossroads and I'm going to delete my dynasty and start over because I don't like the thought of having that simmed 6-5 season on my record.

I had a 6-6 season on my record and I won the BCS National Championship next year. Keep it up and your record will get better.

Just did some updates to my dynasty blog. In this edition, Tulane blows yet another lead, this time to Cincinnati. Only to respond greatly against New Mexico State. But a trip to the Auburn Tigers would abruptly halt their momentum, leaving them at 6-5 heading into the season finale at home against ECU. Senior Day shapes up to be a good game, as the Green Wave are STILL in contention for an AAC title. They just have Temple, Cincinnati and South Florida in their way.

Actually had a really good first year with Miami going 13-1 and beating Louisville in the Sugar Bowl. My gameplan was simple: Give Duke Johnson the ball. Duke finished second in Heisman voting to Johnny Football but it was a very close vote. South Carolina beat Boise State for the Championship. For as good of a season I had this year next year will be probably as bad because I had a tough time recruiting and I play ranked opponents Nebraska, Notre Dame, Auburn, Florida State, Clemson, and Virginia Tech.

Just as in real life Duke is so good. Wait until he stays until his senior year to see how really good he becomes in this game.

Just got fired from UCONN and had to accept an OC position at Georgia State

                        My UCONN record was horrible.
                        season 1: 3-9
                        season 2: 3-9
                        season 3: 2-10

its unfortunate that I got fired cause I recruited a very good incoming class. I figured this would be the year that I turned it around with UCONN.
With UCONN In my final year I had a top 10 defense, but unfortunately my offense ranked 123, or something like that. just pitiful. I lost more than half my games by dumb mistakes. just forcing passes etc.

For the record, this is the longest Ive played an EA sports game on CG. NCAA 14 is really a solid football title. even the bland play by play/ color analysis grew on me, decent half time show, and close to real life stats.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I just had one of the best games every played in my dynasty for the Big 10 championship. In my current dynasty I simmed the first season then created my coach to take over somewhere. I'm using some restrictions another user posted for when I can take certain jobs and things like that. Anyway, took over the OC job at Texas State. went I think 8-4 the first year and lost the bowl game. The second year I only lost 1 or 2 games, won the conference and the bowl game. Had individuals break a few school records, then I packed up and went to Northwestern to be their OC.

Northwestern had a good RB and QB which is why I choose them over other jobs (and I could only go to a 3 star school). Year 1 I went 8-4 and won some Bowl against a crappy team. Year 2 both the QB and HB were redshirt seniors and 97 overalls. I throw too many picks for the QB to be considered for national awards, but the RB had plenty of TDs to be. I broke quite a few school records this year. Passing yards, rushing TDs, receiving yards, receiving TDs. Had a loss to Ohio State and Wisconsin, but the 7-2 conference record was enough to get to play in the conference championship game.

Was ranked #8 going up against a #4 ranked Michigan team coming off of their only loss of the season to Ohio State. They had 99 ovr for both offense and defense, however, their starting QB was injured vs Ohio State so they had some low 80s ovr starting. Good thing otherwise they might have put up 60 on me in regulation. It was a back and forth game and I had the lead in the 4th. They battled back though and tied it up with not much time left on the clock. Forced OT. We went back and forth trading TDs into triple OT. It's 55-55 at this point and I watch their 3rd and goal play from the 3 or 4. They decide to pass and the QB hangs in the pocket too long. As he is trying to throw it he gets hit and the ball pops up into the air with the other DE grabbing it out of the air. ruled a fumble. Now all I have to do is kick the FG to win. Instead the CPU AI kept putting the offense out on the field, so I ended up scoring the game winning TD with my back up RB to win the Big 10 Championship 61-55.

Definitely the highest scoring game I've ever played, though the triple OT helped. My RBs performance was enough to propel him to the top of the heisman race and he won it. Now I'm ranked #4 and going up against #12 UCLA in the Rose Bowl. Its going to be a bummer losing both this QB and RB.

I wish I could go get a HC job this off season but if I stick to those restrictions I have to stay a coordinator for one more year. I've been considering peacing out and taking the best available OC job out there. Otherwise I'm going to have to play with a mid 80 ovr QB next season and a meh o-line. The RB that will be starting next season does have 99 speed, so I think I could have a lot of fun with him. Wouldn't be surprised if I go over 2000 on the ground with him since I'll be relying on my run game a lot more next season

My 4th year at Auburn saw us avenge a 34-27 heartbreaking loss to Oklahoma the year before in the BCS Championship game by knocking off Mizzou 34-21 for the championship. Despite being out gained 324-276, the Tigers got four interceptions from a secondary that was much maligned earlier in the year.

We opened up our fifth year with a 'tuneup' in Hawaii - winning 30-0. Despite winning a National Championship, the recruiting trail has been a difficult one. Last year saw the Tigers get 6 players committed by week 1. This year, the Tigers didn't have any instant commitments and in fact several blue chip prospects in the state have turned out to be busts. Recruiting this year will be a difficult one for Auburn, who are coming off one of the best recruiting classes ever.

And FYI, Nick Saban 'retired' after a 5-7 year.
