      U of Buffalo 2017

      WEEK 13

      #6 Buffalo 28
      Western Michigan 34

MAC Title hunt took a shot in the arm as the Bulls D could not stop the passing attack of Western Michigan. RB duo Bailey & Snyder once again had a great day rushing the ball combining for 288 yards and 3 TDs. Blake White was pressured all day which resulted in 3 turnovers. Bulls had a chance at a winning drive in the final 2 minutes of the game which stalled after White was stopped on a 4th & 1 at midfield.

      WEEK 14

      Bowling Green 31
      #15 Buffalo 30

Shocking upset at UB in the regular season finale in MAC play. Bulls D continues it struggle in stopping the passing game. Blake White didn't turn the ball over today but he couldn't connect with his WRs going for a horrible 11/28 for 176 yards with 1 TD. Freshman Ryan Bailey ran the ball 40 times for 211 yards and 3 TDs but in the end it wasn't enough to make up for the Buffalo D failing to stop Bowling Green passing game.

Bulls end the season with a 9-3 record but it was good enough to win the MAC East and play in the MAC Title game against 1 loss Toledo...

      MAC TITLE GAME

      Buffalo 27
      #7 Toledo 20

Round 2 for these teams as they played in a double OT scorefest earlier in the season. Just as in that previous game Toledo had no answer for freshman Ryan Bailey. Bailey talled 41 touches for 291 yards and 2 TDs. Bulls used a ground and pound attack to control the clock and keep Toledo QB J. Jaques off the field. The Buffalo running game was it's best defense today as Toledo opened the 3rd quarter with 3 quick scoring drives to take a 20-13 lead.

However after a long UB scoring drive to open the 4th quarter a Toledo fumble on the Buffalo 30 ended their chance to take the lead. Bulls ran down the clock in a 14 play 71 yard drive that used up all but 17 seconds of the game clock to take the lead 27-20. Toledo got the ball to midfield on a long pass but came up short on a hail mary pass as time expired.

Buffalo Bulls are the 2017 MAC Champions!

Next up for the Buffalo Bulls is a bowl game appearance against 6-6 Navy.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Using Southern Miss and now six games into 2014 (in the SEC).

Somehow, I have held on to wins AT Stanford, LSU and Arkansas.
At the time I played all of them they weren't in the Top 25 but it felt amazing to have close wins against LSU and Arkansas. I blew out Stanford (they had a terrible game in the rain).

Then I had 13 recruits coming to USM for our biggest game of the season (so far) - #5 Alabama.

They were rated at 99 on everything in the team comparison. Their QB, Blake Sims looked clueless all game long and Yeldon couldn't get anything going against my defense. We came out of halftime with a 14-0 lead and on their first possession we took back a Sims INT for six! 21-0.

Ended up milking the clock in the 4th quarter and held on to the win and a 24-0 shutout! Considering the fact that we were depending on our 2nd String Freshman QB, Joseph Bonds and our 3rd and 4th String HBs I can't tell you how good the win felt.

Then... as if it wasn't good enough - every recruit that visited that game committed! We are going into the home-stretch and still have a tough schedule ahead (A&M and Auburn still on tap).

I don't know if we will continue this run, but it already feels like we won the BCS after beating Bama. Now that we have a recruiting class stacking up on top of that?!... It will be hard for me to want to leave USM anytime soon.

Just lost the Penn St. game in overtime 30-27. I once again had QB troubles, as my starter threw 3 picks (although he did run for 100 yards).

I got stopped on the 1 inch line in overtime, but given how awful my luck had been I opted to kick the field goal. Penn State burned me for a touchdown pass on 3rd down and that was that. 9-1 (5-1) now, and Penn St. controls the divison race as they sit at (6-0) with what amounts to a 2 game lead since they own the tiebreaker.

I started a dynasty with the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. I ran a Option offense and a 4-3 defense. first 4 games were tough. i then decided to put in some wild cat formations and my freshmen back up running back tore Toledo defense up and then became starting running back. i finished the season 12-0 and my freshmen running back finished 2 in Heisman. Now the conference title match was against Ohio the first team with a winning record i have face all season and they destroyed me 28-7. my only score coming in the last minute. My bowl game was against Florida and they beat me even worse 35-7. finished with 12-2 record, coach of the year award and a top 10 recruiting class.

Change your Bowl Tie In option to Open during your next off season, see if that helps.

                  REVIEW VS SAMFORD

The Miles era begins with success as GSU held off the Bulldogs for a 10 to 17 win at the Georgia Dome. The win already matches all of last year.

The Panthers offense came out clicking scoring a touchdown on the opening drive on 8 yd reception to Albert Wilson. The offense through out the game was able to move the ball on the ground but in the second half costly sacks did stall out the offense.

The defense did their part as well holding the bulldogs to under 300 yards of offense and only allowing 10 points. DT Terrance Woodard recorded a sack while CB Brent McClendon came away with a interception.

Next week the Panthers host the Chattanooga Mocs.

So far i'm 3-3 in the second year of my Louisiana Tech Dynasty the move to the AAc has been rough So far i have lost to #13 Miami the Rajun Cajuns and the Uconn Huskies.

A very interesting question i have is why my dc isn't fired yet, i mean i lost almost every single game due to my Opponent going all John Elway on me.

Hilariously the # 2 ,# 3 ,# 4 ,#5 and #8 ranked teams all lost on the same weekend. Oklahoma is the #1 team currently not sure who is number two till i play Ecu

                      MILITARY BOWL
                      #24 Buffalo 28
                      Navy 18

Both teams ran the ball 53 times in this matchup however Navy without it's top running back struggled to get much going on the ground. Bulls out rushed them 253 to 123. Blake White struggles continued with 2 more turnovers and a horrible 11/29 performance throwing for 183 yards. Freshman Ryan Bailey carried the load once again totaling 211 yards of offense and 2 TDs. Sophomore Ben Synder went down in the opening drive and did not return.

Bulls finish the season ranked #17 in the polls as Alabama once again wins another national title.

                      NOTABLE RETURNERS

Blake White QB 90 rating, was going to declare for the NFL draft until Coach Carter talked him into staying
Ben Snyder RB 85 rating, was going to transfer due to change of OC but decided to stay

                      TOP INCOMING RECRUITS

                      Courtney Odom 6'7" 246lb DE 79 rating
                      Derek Carter 6'3" 221lb OLB 79 rating
                      Tim Bonds 6'0" 200lb CB 78 rating
                      Byron Phillips 6'5" 217lb WR 78 rating
                      Marvin Griffin 6'1" 302lb G 74 rating

                      Terry Johnson 6'3" 310 DT 70 rating

UB is also changing up the playbook slightly to add some Shotgun formations with a new OC coming in.
There are early rumblings that UB could be making the jump to the ACC if they should win another MAC title.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Well, here's how I finished off my first year in Columbus:

                        W 45-3 v Indiana
                        L 31-21 v #24 Michigan
                        W 24-14 v #5 UNC (Orange Bowl)

I finished ranked #6, and at 11-2 (6-2). I just could not stop Michigan, as they shredded me through the air to the tune of 412 yards, but it didn't matter much anyways as Penn St. had clinched the division title earlier that day. My lessons learned against Michigan paid off in a big way against my old team UNC, as they had a guy every bit as prolific in the form of Eddie Baker (aka my Heisman Trophy winning, 55 touchdown throwing, Coach Sportsbuck HOF inductee), who had thrown for 50 TD's and 1 INT on the year.

I played keep away, and ended up winning the TOP battle by a ridiculous 25:13 to 7:47. We ran for over 280 yards on the day, and I was up 21-0 until they finally got on the board in the 4th quarter when Baker finally got some momentum. My #1 overall defense ended up holding the nation's #1 overall offense to just 14 points and 230 yards, as I took a few pages out of Stanford's playbook. My gameplan and execution was superior, and we capped off my first year with a BCS bowl win.

Haven't messed with my Georgia State dynasty in a while. Been playing Batman: Arkham Origins exclusively on PS3. But I've been playing my Mississippi State on NCAA 07.

                          2012 at Miss St:
Preseason #9. I have really solid tight-ends, so I'm using a multiple-set offense inspired by some combination of FSU, Stanford, and Washington. My defense is primarily a 4-3, but I want to eventually run multiple, so that's what I'm working at and need to recruit for. I have to replace my linebackers for the second straight year.

So I've been working to make more defensive sliders and I thought I might have figured it out after two lame games against teams I should have murdered. Beat a very good LSU team 41-17 in Death Valley. Beat Auburn 23-19 at home. Could've been bigger but I turned the ball over a few times.

Just played an awesome game against Tennessee. They came in #10, we came in #5. 49-35. I thought I was starting to get the defensive games figured out. I guess this is kind of like UGA-LSU in real life earlier this year. Our secondary should be lights out. My current free safety, senior Tom harris, was a nickel back last year, but the free safety left for Sundays so I converted him.

Harris just caught three interceptions. Two were user-picks ( ;D ). My senior strong safety caught a pick-six to turn the tide of the game. We were down 21-13 at halftime, due to a fluke TD drive to start the game by them (I had switched the sliders around in Practice mode and had to move them back to how I had them for the LSU and Auburn games). My cornerbacks are both 90 OVR, but their player of the game was senior receiver Ricky Porter, who caught eight balls for 281 yards and 2 TDs. According to the game, ours was sophomore slot receiver Brandon Fields, who caught 11 balls for 192 yards and 2 TDs.

I'd been containg QB Derek Carter early in the season, leaning on Phillip Morris. This game, Carter threw for 290, 3 TDs, and 2 Int (to bring his total to 1005, 10 TDs, and 5 Int for the season; 279 rushing and three TDs on 60 carries; he ran for 204 yards on 147 carries last year, six TDs) and ran for 93 yards, a TD, and two two-point conversions. They blocked an extra point when we were down 28-13 and scored, so it only brought the lead down to nine. Their QB threw a 73-yard TD pass to Porter, and then we went on a 30-point fourth quarter tear - 34 yard Carter-to-Fields on 3rd and 4, 40-yard pick-six by Horgan, 2-yard run by Morris for the lead with 1:34 left, and a twelve-yard run by Carter leaving 12 seconds on the clock and no doubt in anyone's mind.

Morris ran for 86 yards and a TD on 19 carries, receiving TD. 680 yards and 8 TDs; 36 yds and a TD receiving. Speaks completed 19 of 35 for 349, 4 TDs, and 4 Ints. We kept their running back at 2.8 ypc. Their leading tackler was LB Marcus Rogers, with eleven tackles and two sacks.

Sorry about the lack of pictures and the abundance of text. lol. The past notes were from my meticulous nerdy notes. The other stuff is me looking at the box score right now.

Thank you OS for logging me out while I was getting ready to post my USM update. I spent a hour typing it out. This will be the last time I do that.

                              WEEK 2

                              #10 California 30
                              Buffalo 32

First game of the season saw #10 ranked Cal make a trip to Buffalo to take on the Bulls. After a rough start in the opening quarter both teams got on track before half. Cal found little success trying to move the ball on the ground and went primarily passing in the 2nd half. Cal QB Matthews ended the day throwing for 309 yards and 3 TDs. Blake White found Freshman Byron Phillips early and often. Phillips ended the day with 115 yards receiving and 2 scores.

Bulls ran for 151 yards on the ground using a RB by committee approach. Sophomore standout Ryan Bailey got the bulk of the carries but found little room in the Cal D line gaining 57 yards on the ground but did find the end zone once.

Dramatic win with Cal attempt to run out the clock failing on the 3rd & short forcing them to punt. Senior Patrick Harrison, who missed most of his junior year with a bad neck injury, took the punt back 90 yards for the game winning score!

                              WEEK 4

                              #19 Buffalo 31
                              Temple 21

Bulls lost starting RB Ryan Bailey mid 1st quarter but Senior Justin Walker stepped in as Buffalo used a option run attack to pound the ball down the field.

UB took a 17-0 lead into the 4th quarter before these two rivals traded TD after TD. Blake White led the team in rushing and accounted for all of Buffalo's TDs. He went 25/35 passing for one of the best completion games in his career.

Top 6 teams in the polls are all from the SEC.
