Re: How is your dynasty going

So I believe I played the toughest BCS National Championship game in my entire Dynasty. It was #1 South Carolina vs #2 Oklahoma. This game would've went either way. We both tried outscoring each other, which led to a shootout. With under a minute to go, Oklahoma was leading 42-38. South Carolina worked their way up to the endzone by running (passing would've been very risky at this point). With under 20 seconds to go, we were at Oklahoma's side of the field. With 12 seconds left, South Carolina ran for the game winning TD. South Carolina wins 45-42.

      Year: 2020
      Team: South Carolina Gamecocks
      Job W/Team: Offensive Coordinator
      Win/Loss Record: 14-0
      Highlights of the Season:
      - South Carolina, for the first time, has an undefeated season.
      - Won the SEC Conference Championship against Georgia Tech 38-29.
      - Defeated Oklahoma in the BCS National Championship game 45-42.

Offseason Movements: As nice as it was for Bruce to help lead the Gamecocks to their first BCS National Championship win, he decided to move on to a better job. Still with the SEC, he finally took a head coaching job for a team that has struggled for quite a while. In fact, the team he now coaches for is one of his alma matter's biggest rival. Bruce is now the head coach for the..........Georgia Bulldogs!

Thought I moved Georgia to the ACC a while back. Guess not. So I edited that post twice.

#19 SMU played #17 TCU in a Rivalry game. What started out as a close game turned out to be a blowout. Heading into halftime the score was 14-14 with both teams finding it hard to score. But the second half was nothing like the first. SMU forced Casey Pachall to throw 4 interceptions and Garrett Gilbert proceeded to throw 3 touchdowns in the half. The final score ended up being 45-21 as SMU ran away with it after halftime. Gilbert threw for 406 with 5 TD's and 1 INT. He's starting to look like the QB he was recruited to be.

So I started again with GSU and quickly realized if the one thing that's going to keep it going for me will be uniforms, so I'd rather be a team I know has some uniform combos then a team that may never get an update, so I'm looking at MTSU-like the colors, have helmet stickers an not an sunbelt team like I've been playing with. I think they are one of the better looking 1* teams, opinions?

Re: How is your dynasty going

So wanting to do a test run I started a MTSU dynasty and figured I'd hold off on posting incase I didn't like it, we'll I LOVE it, I haven't had this much fun playing in awhile. I'm 3 games in and have a 2-1 record. Game 1 I beat and FCS team 28-9, game was much closer then score says was only 14-9 going into 4th. Game 2 I lost to UNC 37-34 they scored in the final minute and on the last play I hit a bomb to Reggie Whatley for 65yds, he had some separation but couldn't keep it and was tackled on the 7yrd line with no time left. Game 3 I handled Memphis 49-10 with our #1 recruit on the field for a visit against who then was his number one team, I have a 1000 point lead now. He's a complete program changer at DE...see picture below(name left out will be using generated names like bleedgreen)

                  image.jpg

Will be doing game by game updates from now on, here's some of our stat leaders thus far so you can get to know the team.

                    Week 4 2-1(0-0) MTSU at 2-1(1-0) FAU

                    image.jpg
Top left Shubert Bastien before his only sack of the game. Top right FS RB Shane Tucker pre-snap. Middle left P.O.G Reggie Whatley on one of his three TD Scores. Rest, Kenneth Gilstrap on his 94yd TD KR.

This game seemed to be over before it started when FAU had to start 2nd String QB due to an injury. The rain had no affect on our offense on our way to a 52-14 route of FAU. QB Logan Kilgore continued his hot play going 17-22 for 212 yards and 3 TD, back up RS FR Austin Grammer was 3-4 for 47yd and a TD in mop up duty. RB Jordan Parker had 72yd on 14 carries and Shane Tucker added 27yd on 10 carries and a TD, he also had 1 catch for 2yd and a TD. Reggie Whatley who was player of the game had 8 catches for 138yds and 2 TD and one run for 13yd and a TD. Shubert Bastien added 1 sack to his now NCAA leading 8, and Kenneth Gilstrap had 3 KR for 153yd and a TD and 6 PR for 52yd. Next week we face a 1-2 BYU team.

On the recruiting updates, we are in a battle with Memphis for our #1 prospect 3* 78 overall DE, still 1000 points up. Have had no signees to this point.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I decided to start off as the OC of Oregon. I wanted to start at a power house school because I thought it would be easier to get a Head Coach spot. The first year we lost 2 games and ended up in the Rose Bowl and stomped Ohio State 41-17. The first off-season my name was in the Coaching Carousel for a a few HC positions. The openings were Missouri, Penn State and Iowa. However the only offer I got was from Northern Texas which I turned down for another year at Oregon. In the second year I have been on a mission to get De'Anthony Thomas the Heisman. I ended up breaking the single game rushing record against UCLA and ended up with 465 yards on AA difficulty. It didn't hurt that they were in the bottom 5 in rushing defense this year lol. It looked like we were a lock for the National Championship game with an unstoppable offense when we came up against Stanford in week 9. Well our offense was great it was the defense that let us down. Stanford drove down the field in the last 2 minutes to score the go-ahead TD with under a minute to go. I threw a desperation bomb down the ride sideline which was caught but my receiver was brought down at the 5 and I ended up losing 42-38. I went from starting to celebrate to wtf just happened in a matter of seconds lol.

Tulane Football: From Worst to First

Tulane student beat writer David Sinclair has produced his next Green Wave football update! Check out his article on my arena, http://www.operationsports.com/kswgr...e-in-the-dome/ !

Week 9 vs. UTSA: Miracle in the Dome!!!

The Tulane Green Wave came home from a deflating loss at Louisiana Tech, feeling that they had something to prove. They walked into today’s game versus UTSA with the idea that if they couldn’t get SOME bit of momentum going (at 3-4), the season would be all for nothing. But today’s game would be different. Today, they would come ready to play.

                        BOY, DID THEY!!!

Though today’s 34-28 victory didn’t come easy, the Green Wave showed that they could be resilient, that they could create their own mojo. Their ability to feed off of their momentum remains to be seen, but they know now that they can create it. And that’s a start.

The game didn’t get interesting until late, as it looked early on that Tulane would find itself, yet again, on the losing end of a runaway blowout. But as coaches would tell you, it only takes one guy to provide a spark. QB Devin Powell would sit out his second straight game with a rib injury, and after QB Jeff Shelby had yet another struggling half of football, Coach Kaelyn Willingham would turn to his #3. True Freshman QB Tim Ashley entered the game in the third quarter and invigorated the team, finishing arguably the most electrifying game of the season thus far. Down 21-3 in the third, Ashley got the offense on a roll, scoring 3 unanswered touchdowns to take a 24-21 lead. He brought a stale ground game back to life, and the defense FINALLY began to make its contributions.

They would add a field goal to make the score 27-21. But a breakdown in the Tulane pass coverage would allow for an easy completion by UTSA QB Eric Soza to TE Jeremiah Moeller, giving UTSA the lead 28-27. But Tim Ashley would not be done yet. The 3rd string quarterback would lead yet another strike down the field, ending with an Orleans Darkwa TD. With the lead 34-28, UTSA would have to respond, and quickly. With only a minute left in regulation, the Tulane defense would rise to the occasion. Three and out, game over.

“Great win today, great win!” said Coach Willingham after the game.

Tim Ashley also had a few words after the game in his first-ever press conference.

“I’m just proud of our guys today. We didn’t give up, we worked hard, and we got the outcome we wanted.”

The Green Wave (now 4-4) head to Tulsa, Oklahoma next week to take on the Golden Hurricane. Kaelyn Willingham will now have to decide which QB he will start.

“Though Jeff [Shelby] has shown his flashes, Tim [Ashley] showed today that he is more-than-deserving of reps.”

The Tulsa game will be broadcast on regional television, and there will be many events for those traveling to the game to enjoy during this Halloween weekend. Enjoy!

                        Roll Wave!

This was a come from behind (0-17), triple overtime winner (37-31) over 4-8 Washington State. The Cougars used, true to form, a short passing game to move the chains on me. Loved the CPU playcalling - I recall on one play sending the house defensively only to see a perfect lob for a screen pass to WSU's #34 and he took it from about 40 yards to the house.

The Huskies are projected for the Orange Bowl vs Miami. I would freakin love an opportunity to take on the 'Canes - let's settle the 1991 split national championship debate 22 years later!!! OMG I'm old!

Going to start week 5 in my 2021 dynasty with Georgia tomorrow. Going against the same team I led to the BCS championship and #1 ranking the previous season, the Carolina Gamecocks. I enjoy winning, but for quite a while now, I'm blowing almost every team out. Trying to get the A.I. to have better passing and running than me so they could score more. I don't like losing but I want to earn a win, not flat out win the game in the 1st quarter. Throughout my dynasty years, I've beaten teams with scores ranging from 70 to 112. Hopefully Georgia and Carolina can have a shootout of the ages since they (Carolina) slaughtered Mississippi State 69-13 in Week 4. That same week, I murdered Kentucky 84-21.

Today the Ragin' Cajuns of ULL hosted FCS-SE. In OC Otting's quest to find the perfect playbook for his personnel, he took Purdue's playbook adding in some pistol, and some more I formations. Boy did it work. First play from scrimmage was a 58 yard TD run that got the run game going, and it never looked back. Junior HB Justin Thomas carried the ball 27 times for 251 yards rushing and 3 TD's. The Ragin' Cajuns would go on to win by a score of 37-7. Up next they travel to Akron to take on the Zips.
