My wife decided to erase my previous dynasty. So I restarted this time as OC of Utah State, with an alma mater of Kansas. See if I can land that as my first head coach role. First game of the season lost at Utah 37-29. Poor line play led to an early safety and eventually led to 5 turnovers (3 INTs 2 fumbles). Next up is Air Force to open Mountain West play. Hopefully we can grab a win.

Re: How is your dynasty going
I keep starting over. I'm using my TB squad the St Louis Billikens. Few things feel off. For one, I'm trying to get my roster right and two my playbook. I'm trying to build a good multiple playbook with WC passing, power running, and some option. Also just to help tweak my TB team roster..does anybody have Dennis Dixon's old NCAA rating and attributes? It would help a lot..Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Well, suffered my first loss as the HC at Florida State. Lost to Miami by 7 points. I won the National Championship in Year 1 and was off to a 5-0 start in Year 2 before losing to the rival Hurricanes.
The Seminoles fell from No. 3 (despite bringing nearly the entire team back and being the defending champion, I was No. 4 in the preseason rankings) to No. 10. I'll have to run the table and hope for some help along the way to defend the title. An ACC title and BCS bowl berth are still very realistic goals.
Winning 19-straight games was pretty cool. Can't remember the last time I've done that.Currently Playing:

Re: How is your dynasty going
After that embarrassing loss to Utah, the Aggies of Utah State went to visit the Air Force Falcons. Maybe it was the disparity in talent but the O-line held up well against the Falcon front, their secondary is for real snatching 3 INTs. However, it wasn't enough as we came out with a 41-17 win, then followed up with a 41-0 thrashing of FCS Midwest. Now we prepare for a home game against ODU's Monarchs. Hoping we can stretch the winning streak to 3 games.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
4 games into year 3 and things are going better than expected for my Western Mustangs. A 4-0 start to the season masks some of the underlying problems with the team, but the Big 12 appears to be in a down year. Im already -5 in turnover ratio despite having a 96 overall senior QB and have only picked off 1 pass so far. My defense yet again is carrying the team despite giving up a lot of yards, but is showing cracks in the armour. Baylor just put up the most rushing yards on me ive ever given up in 3 seasons, including the title beat down from Alabama.
so far my season looks like this:
#11 South Carolina (4-1): W 24-21 (TD with 16 seconds left to win it)
Ole Miss (1-3): W 49-21 (35 consecutive points to pull away in the 2nd/3rd)
@ Virginia (2-4): W 38-7 (lost shutout with 1:38 to go)
Baylor (3-2): W 38-35 (survived 4 turnovers and didnt lead the game for a second)
up next is a road game against 3-0 Kansas then home for 0-5 Texas Tech and 1-2 Iowa State before the tough part beginsWESTERN ONTARIO MUSTANGS

Re: How is your dynasty going
Really torn on who to start at QB in my second year at Oklahoma. On the one hand I have a 92 OVR QB with 92 THP/92 THA/87 SPD. He's a perfect fit for the Malzahn offense, and he's also 6'4 230 lbs. so he's a bruiser. At the same time though, he's left handed and I just play like crap with him. Every time he came in to the game during blowouts last season I could never get it going. His career QB rating in two seasons as a backup is under 80!!
On the other hand, I have a senior backup who has been a backup/third stringer his whole career; he's not quite as talented but he's right handed, which seems to be beneficial. Maybe I just suck with left QB's? He only has 55 SPD though.
So the question is, how do I want my offense to look. Modern Malzahn, where the QB is a runner first? Or do I want it to be like the Malzahn offense in his first year at Tulsa, where the QB threw for 5000+ yards. I do have 5 receivers with 90+ OVR... so tornComment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Sitting at 5-1 as Utah State's OC. A closer than I'd like 31-25 win at San Jose State, and a 45-14 whipping of BYU. If we replayed the Utah game right now, we'd probably win pretty easily. Next up is Boise State, could be a key game for MWC championship contention.Comment

Year 1: Nevada just upset #1 ranked Florida State 24-20 in Tallahassee.
I was more interested in keeping up with the score updates in that game than playing my own. hahaComment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Now at the half way mark in season 3 and the Mustangs are still undefeated, but just barely. With another trap game against Iowa State coming up, star QB Will Finch will have to avoid the turnover bug that has plagued his season. Through 6 games Finch is completing 71% of his passes, but has been picked off 12 times and fumbled 3 more times, creating closer games. Case and point would be against 0-6 Texas Tech. Up 14-0 early in the first, Finch turned over the ball 3 times as the offense stalled. The #4 Western Mustangs went to OT against the winless Red Raiders but prevailed for a 35-28 victory. As of now the season stands:
#11 South Carolina (5-2): W 24-21
Ole Miss (2-4): W 49-21
@ Virginia (2-5): W 38-7
Baylor (4-2): W 38-35
@ Kansas (3-2): 49-7
Texas Tech (0-6): W 35-28 OT
Iowa State is a nice trap game with a road game against 5-1 Oklahoma State the following week as the Stangs get into the meat of their conference schedule
Top 10:
#1 Florida State 6-0
#2 Georgia Tech 6-0
#3 Cincinnati 5-0
#4 Western Ontario 6-0
#5 Alabama 7-1
#6 Virginia Tech 6-0
#7 Notre Dame 6-1
#8 UCLA 6-1
#9 Florida 6-1
#10 Michigan State 5-1Last edited by Bcolt93; 08-06-2014, 05:23 PM.WESTERN ONTARIO MUSTANGS

Re: How is your dynasty going
I thought year 7 was finally gonna be the year in my Texas dynasty. I was undefeated and it was looking like I would play S Carolina in the Championship game again. They had averaged 50 points a game all year. But they lost the SEC championship to Georgia by 3. Somehow I face 8-4 Texas A&M in the BCS National championship. I was down 28-32 with a minute left and was driving and my QB Ray Lemon threw a dagger INT. He would be so good if he didn't throw so many interceptions. Oh well. First game of year 8 I was beating Auburn 21-14 when they scored but they play was reviewed and he was an inch short. The next play my MLB intercepts a pass in the endzone. 2 plays later my HB runs for a 73 yard touchdown. I win 28-21. I plan on using a more air raid type offense this year as Ray Lemon is 99 overall and would win the Heisman if he would stop throwing INTs. I have the #1 wide receiver recruit from last year, Ryan Merrick and a sophomore receiver that didn't play as much as I would've liked as a freshman but he is 6'7 and 232 pounds with 84ish speed. I also have 3 other good receivers that I spread the ball around to. I think I have the hang of recruiting as it is only week 2 and I have already signed the #9 guard (79 overall) and the #5 receiver (78 overall). I am also in line to sign a 6'5 QB with 89 speed and a FS with 97 speed. I am also going after a 6'5 receiver with 94 speed!Madden 25 - Steelers
