I am now 7-0 but am still ranked 4th. I am starting to worry that there will be more then 2 undefeated teams. In regards to recruiting: What am I doing wrong? Every year I can barely sign 15 players and this year in week 8 I have only had one commit, a 4 star corner. I have at least 5 guys on my board that I am up by 700+ points on but they won't commit. They always weight until the offseason and there is a large risk of them getting away in the offseason. Why do I recruit so few players and why my recruits take so long to commit?

Re: How is your dynasty going
Just had probably the best game I've ever played. I'm HC of Nevada hosting undefeated rival and #19 Boise State (6-0). I play full coach mode as well...
My QB, Fajardo was on fire...the circle was blinking red most of the time I checked the hot/cold thing. 38/56 406yds 3td 0int
I was down 17-10 at the half...managed to tie it at 17 headed to the fourth. They score early to make it 24-17. I come right back and tie it again at 24 led by my QBs arm. Eventually we are tied at 27 with 1:42 remaining.
They risk and missed a loooong fg (hate how they attempt a fg if they are at the 35 or closer!). I get the ball with under a minute and can't do anything so I punt it.
They have the ball with about 30sec to go...I intercept a pass and run it back to the two yard line with :02 left! Win the game 30-27 with the game winning fg as time expired!
I had like 5 or 6 recruits on a visit too so this was huge to beat a top 25 team. 5-3 on the season now and a lot of momentum with back to back upset wins.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
After what I've dubbed the lost year, going 1-11 as HC at UMass, got fired and took the OC role at Maryland and opened 1-0 after a 42-16 win over #13 Wisconsin. What a difference talent makes.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Currently in year 3 of my dynasty, 1st year as OC at Army after 2 years in the same position at Eastern Michigan. Went 4-8 in year 1 at EMU and 10-2 last year before switching jobs. Heading into week 15 and my #2 Black Knights (11-0) are taking on #4 Navy (11-0)! Did not expect this game to be a battle of undefeated, top 5 teams.
#1 Georgia Tech and #3 UCLA are also both undefeated at 12-0.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
After six years as the University of Massachusetts Minutemen Offensive Coordinator, Robert Bolig has decided to move on as James Franklin has been fired as head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions after two down years. Bolig was offered the job and took it in a heart beat. This is after spending the last two years at UMass not realizing that another Head Coach had been chosen over him to take the reigns.
While Penn State had two down years, the talent on the team is immense and anything less than a Big Ten Title in his first year would be a disappoint.
Penn State 2-Year Outlook, Position Battles, Offense *without Freshman
Quarterbacks
Chad Rice, Junior 87 OVR
Lamar Newby, RS Senior 84 OVR
Dan Bennett, RS Freshman 84 OVR
There is no clear cut starter under center for the Nittany Lions. Dan Bennett is, attribute wise, the best passer on the team while Lamae Newby has the legs to keep players alive. Chad Rice is more accurate then Bennett and has above average agility that could make him the most complete quarterback on the team.
Running Backs
Danny Henry, RS Senior 94 OVR
Damien Shelton, RS Senior 94 OVR
Andy Mitchell, RS Junior 90 OVR
Danny Henry and Damien Shelton are speed backs with the size to break tackles. While Andy Mitchell isn't as fast as those two, he is the bruiser of the bunch. This running back group yells out "2014 Penn State Nittany Lions" where they had a crowded back-field with Zach Zwinak, Bill Belton and Akeel Lynch. There is a ton of talent here, so expect a run heavy offense.
Wide Receivers
Adrian Thomas, Senior 88 OVR
Jason McMillan, RS Senior 87 OVR
Davon Callahan, Junior 85 OVR
Brad Phillips, Junior 84 OVR
Joe Collier, Junior 83 OVR
Mike Ham, Junior 83 OVR
Like the Quarterback Position, there is no clear cut starter here. Mixed with speedsters and possession receivers, every one of them may see the field. The most threatening receiver is Jason McMillan. Standing at 6'5, weighing in at 226lbs. This monster of a receiver brings a Calvin Johnson-type player to the field for the Nittany Lions. With a 97 speed, 98 acceleration and the second best hands on the team with an 86 catch, expect him to be in the running for Big 10 receiver of the year, as well as the national receiver of the year.
Tight Ends
Marcus Keenan, Senior 93 OVR
Alan Jude, RS Junior 90 OVR
Maurice Meyer, RS Junior 89 OVR
Expect to see many twin tight end sets for Penn State this year, and don't be surprised to see three on the field at one with Alan Jude and Maurice Meyer both standing at 6'5. Jude weighs in at a whopping 286lbs while running with an 81 speed. He is primarly used as a blocker but has the hands the be a threat over the middle.
The Offensive Line
The offensive line depth is, to put lightly, is terrible. The starters will be fine but if one of them go down, it may be good night for the Lions. They will be forced to shift some players around as they currently have three spots on the line that do not have a back-up player. Whenever he graduates, right tackle Dallas Hines should be nothing less than a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft. The redshirt sophomore is an 88 overall and is expected to be there as a senior. His back-up Will Galloway, sophmore 81 overall, may redshirt this year and move to the left tackle spot where he is expected to start as a redshirt sophmore as current left tackle Justin Hall, 84 overall, will graduate.
Head Coach Robert Bolig shall have a monster starting line in his second year as the Nittany Lion Head Coach if everyone stays.
Projected Offensive Line in Year 2 (Overalls will change):
LT Will Galloway, RS Sophomore 81 OVR
LG Lance Moore, RS Junior 91 OVR
C Donald Johnson, RS Junior 85 OVR
RG Roger Smith, RS Junior 87 OVR
RT Donald Hines, RS Sophomore 88 OVR
Every lineman, except Galloway, is expected to be over 90 OVR in Bolig's second year as coach. This will leave whoever the starting quarterback/running back's are enough time to look like stars.--

Re: How is your dynasty going
Has anyone ever seen an injury to an offensive lineman in game? EA seems to never have this in their football games and it kills me why not. Easy to recruit knowing you don't need any depth in thr OLComment

Figures smh...season is only 12 games so no need to sim. I'll just have to force myself to recruit linemen when I don't need to in order for recruiting to be the challenge my other strict house rules are intended to doComment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Bigbob, don't ever stop posting those dynasty updates. I've always enjoyed reading them.
Started one as a head coach with UT. I love their jerseys, stadium, fight song, and of course their awesome recruiting class.
I beat Utah State 36-24 in week one and Arkansas State 27-20 in week 2. I went with Dobbs as QB after Worley threw 2 picks and a pick six against the Aggies. I also watch the CPU play a lot of games to get realistic stats (mainly tackles). UTSA upset UCLA, Rice upset A&M, and Oregon State upset Ohio State. I created some realistic recruits so Barnett, Rosen, Sweat, Toliver, and others are in the game. It's pretty deep and realistic, so I expect to have fun with it.Cup or Bust (NHL 13)

Re: How is your dynasty going
Finished my OC time with Virginia. We finished 12-1 and took the conference title. My boy HB Parks took the hesiman with over 1300 rushing yards and 20 Td's. Went to Orange Bowl to battle UCF. We won 24-16. Finished 2nd overall in NT picture. My two year contract has expired and Ive decided to look into head coaching opportunities.
Watched several big opportunities go by. Finally...Akron (0-11) and New Mexico St (5-6) pop up with my name in the top 3. I think about it and turn both down. Texas St pops up and offers me the job after Franchonie is ousted for posting a 2-10 record. I take the job with a 5 year contract. I also luck out with Defensive Coordinators as mark Stoops is hired. Cant wait to see how my first season goes with the bobcatsatleast..Its not DelawareComment

Re: How is your dynasty going
For those of you playing as HC's, what time are you guys using? I just used 11 or 12 and ended up with over 150 plays total. I think that time will work if I run accelerated clock the entire game. I ended up going to my third string just so numbers weren't ridiculous.
The score was bad, like 70+ to 24 bad.--

Re: How is your dynasty going
8 minutes didn't work for me, which is what I used as an OC. Unlike when you're an OC and are forced to sim the DC, defenses stay on the field for longer than a minute.--
