Re: How is your dynasty going

I selected from only one and two star schools. There were 6 conferences including the independent Army (Navy is in the American conference like they will be irl in 2015). Using my random number generator app it selected a team from the MWC...from there it selected the University of Nevada. So I embark on my coaching journey as the new head coach of Nevada!

My alma mater is Indiana University...would LOVE to one day be offered that position and build them into a powerhouse in the Big Ten (now 14 with the new additions of Maryland & Rutgers. Use this http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...nference-moves to move teams in correct conferences. The American conference now has divisions, which I named North & South and moved teams in to their divisions based on their location.

I run a 3-4 defense and Va Tech's multiple offensive playbook.

Re: How is your dynasty going

I deleted the Automatic bid for a BCS bowl for the American conference. The Rose bowl is the only one that will have both teams as automatic qualifiers. I'm also deleting the automatic bid to the Fiesta Bowl for the Big 12 (10) champions because of the now weakness of that conference. Obviously the winner would most likely get an at large bid but it doesn't mean the Fiesta Bowl. Now there are FOUR at large bids for BCS bowl games...should make my seasons a lot more interesting!

My question now is...do I make the Pac 12 the automatic bid to the Fiesta Bowl instead? Then each at large bid would face the power conference winners in a BCS bowl game

Up to 6-0 as GSU's OC in year 3. Just got past Texas State 38-24, my QB has been effective through his redshirt freshman season with 24 TDs to 7 INTs with 8 TDs coming in that ridiculous Western Michigan game.

I just realized, after winning a NC with Old Dominion and leaving for better challenge, my record is 15-15!! I'm finally not winning too much it's great!

Can I start a dynasty, sim a few seasons ahead and then take over a team? I don't care about having update rosters (I can go with a 2013 rosters or some better) but I want to sim a few seasons and become OC somewhere. I don't really remember how the coaching carousel works.

Also what settings are a must to change? Coaching Progression to slow, recruiting to human... anything else I am leaving out?
You can select the coach you want to be after simming seasons, but you have to control a coach during the sim because you can not do dynasty without a coach. I would use a coach like Nick Saban because chances of him getting fired are slim. Then sim as many seasons as you want then AFTER the coaching carousel you can pick a coach to take over for and turn Nick Saban back over to the cpu control. It's all done through edit coach section of the Coach Central tab.

As far as settings go. Progression slow, and then turn on the recruiting help while simming then after you take over change it all to human and do your thing.

                Hope this helps.
Won't change my sig until the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl...wait, that happened ! Let's win another one! Go Hawks!!

Led by Junior QB, Cody Fajardo the Nevada Wolf Pack look to open the season and the head coaching career of their new leader, Steve Bayird to a great start by upsetting a top 25 team.

Team expectations are to win at least eight games and get a mediocre bowl bid somewhere. In order to do so they will have to go through a non-conference schedule which includes @ #23 ranked Northern Illinois to open the season, led by their sensational QB, Jordan Lynch. To end their season they will play host to Clemson, who is said to be a top favorite behind Florida State to win the ACC, and for sure bet to get a bid into a BCS bowl if it's not the Orange Bowl.

                  Lets go Wolf Pack!!

Im 7 years in as a HC of Syracuse. I've won 3 national championships and im currently 7-0 in bowls. I wish i wouldve changed coach progression to slow though because only 7 years in and i have insta commit unlocked and quite honestly im sick of winning

Well season 2 of my Army OC dynasty finished with a crushing loss to #9 ND 37-7, then a loss to #3 FSU 31-17. The game of the year was just played though as Army knocked off #14 Navy 28-27 in a battle of which team will have the ball last. Luckily my defense stopped them on what appeared to be many driving down field in 2 min drill fashion to score the game winner but they missed the fg with the last play...a chip shot fg at that. We couldn't be happier, although my job is in jeopardy, we did finish the season 7-5 with a bowl game against 6-6 Arkansas in the BBVA Compass Bowl...yay!? xd

UCLA QB Brett Hundley won his 2nd Heisman and brought the Bruins to the NC game, again. This time vs undefeated FSU. Go UCLA!

Surprise teams in the top 25..
#3 Bowling Green 12-1 (will be moving to BIG TEN this next year)
                        #10 Minnesota Golden Gophers 10-2...what??
#11 BYU 11-1 (moved to the Sun Belt last year, might have to move to PAC 12)
#19 Iowa State 9-3 (only 1 star team in the top 25)
Honorable mentions, Rice 9-3 (2 star) and New Mexico 9-3 (1 star)

And....we get crushed by Arkansas 56-3. It was over before the half, as they like to say in the game. 5 turnovers didn't help. 2 fumble recoveries for td on some terrible pitches by my Qb. I was forced to throw the ball and that resulted in sacks, sacks, sacks and more sacks. A scrambling QB is not good at sitting in the pocket. My defense didn't help matters with not being able to stop anything. It was an embarrassing game and i hope i keep my job.

You can move teams around in conferences after year 1?? Sweet! I set mine up just as it is irl, including Navy in the American conference that they will be in 2015. I'll have to keep track of successful teams in lower conferences and move around if need be

Nevada wins their first game of the season against a weaker FCS opponent 40-14. While it was against weaker competition, although not a whole lot when comparing team overalls with Nevada, it felt good to coach my first victory.

                              QB Cody Fajardo was sensational! 32/44 353yds 1td 1int (pick 6); 18car 103yds 1td

Next up is my first conference game vs Wyoming! Looking to get off to a good start for the conference championship dream. BTW, ole Kirk Herbstreit is picking Wyoming so there's some motivation!

In Year 3 of a Georgia State dynasty I'm seeing the first returns on my plan to convert the defense into a speed-oriented unit that flies to the ball. Well, I got what I wanted -- the linebackers are all pushing 90 in speed rating and the secondary is full of mid- to upper-90s guys. They all streak to the ball carrier like padded Usain Bolts ... and bounce off.

I should have paid a little more attention to the tackling ratings.

Air Force and Virginia Tech each broke off 350-yard rushing games against me in 40-point butt whippings to open the season. Throw in the fact that my offensive line is getting overrun on every play in the flexbone and it adds up to a long season.
