Probably not, have you reset your system or exited the game? That would be going to XBox home screen or selecting the "Quit Game" on PS3Comment

Really wish they had backwards compatibility so I could continue to play this game. I just downloaded it when it first came out so I don't have a hard copy.

Re: How is your dynasty going
First time poster. Wish me luck. I have been reading about y'alls dynasties and am enjoying the read. I usually play Texas A&M on Heisman but spend waaay too much time winning. I enjoy the stat keeping otherwise I'd lose my mind. So I got NCAA '14 and decided to try something different. I get bored at times so play multiple offline dynasties. The Dynasty I decided to try and post about is UTSA Roadrunners. They are a 1 star team with a 68 OVR 68 OFF and 70 DEF. I played on All-American with just a minor slide here or there. I also decided to start as the OC. I can not play defense and usually just rely on getting leads and then playing pass def to be honest. I am going to post in 3 week (game) intervals just to save me from having to post a novella once a season. You are welcome. This is getting long enough I bet. So without further ado I present the 2013 UTSA Roadrunners coached by Jeff Slayer with koi as OC.
During the pre-season we did not alter any conferences or our schedule. We left it at a C- with only #16 Oklahoma State ranked to begin the season. As OC I do run Texas A&M's Air-Raid.
We open on the road against New Mexico. We scored on our first possession and were very pleased early. The rest of the 1st half our weaknesses were exposed. The O-Line was weak and gave up a couple of 3rd down sacks. We had a fumble and thankfully our defense pitched a shutout for a 13-0 halftime lead. The second half we continued to struggle with line blocking and dropped passes. Receivers did not run correct routes …. we needed to make adjustments. Once I figured out how to get my line to shift things seemed to gel and we finished our last three possessions with FG,FG, TD.
Final : 26-6 My kicker was offensive MVP
Our first home game pitted us against #14 OK State. While watching game film I saw their QB throw 36-46 against a former team. The first half saw our defense hold stiff once again as we built a 17-7 lead late in the half. Once again missed blocks and an int plagued us as State scored 2 Tds late to take a 17-21 lead at half though. Our offense used the clock and steady drives the second half to limit OK State's possessions. We outscored them 13-7 to pull out a 30-28 win and a top 10 game. I was pleased to have held on against a ranked team.
At this point I am hoping our defense holds up this season as our offense pass game is very sporadic.
Week 3 takes us to Arizona. The first half was a defensive struggle as we trudge out to a 6-0 lead. The Wrs are dropping passes left and right stalling out drives. By the end of the 3rd quarter we are down 6-7. More like a baseball game than a football game. I score a TD and 2 pointer late in the game to pull ahead 21-14. A 15-7 4th quarter gives us another victory over a Power 5 Team. Once again our D saves us. My QB went 10-23 for 119 yards … with 6 drops by receivers. All my training is going to the route tree currently. Remember this game boys and girls; remember it while you can.
If you as a reader would like something different please let me know .. I am starting my 2nd season actually so can adjust how I post immediately and types of post next season. Thank you for reading. I hope this is enjoyable for you as much as it is for me.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
It's a slow evening. I am watching a JAWS marathon. So I may as well keep posting.
So week4 takes us into our first conference game. We travel to El Paso to face the UTEP Miners. Once again I rely heavily on my run game as to be honest; a bit scared to throw. The line is weak and receivers are not reliable. The first half is a snooze fest 16-10 late. With about 2 minutes to go; we get the ball and we try to “hurry up”. Hit a couple of throws and am thinking maybe we can do this. Nope TWO ints lead to a 16-31 halftime deficit (the 21 points were scored in the last 2:39). At this point I am worried. We have yet to even score 32 in a game and our defense has never given up this many points. What's to come? A couple of methodical 3rd quarter drives and a return of our stout d bring us to 30-31 heading into the fourth. Once again my rush game can not be stopped and with time consuming drives UTEP only manages a 4th quarter touchdown while we score 17. 47-38 FINAL.
By week 5 our modus operandi is to run the ball like crazy, throw in a pass or two to keep the “d” honest and hope our defense keeps up it's stellar play. Once again a 21-10 lead evaporates at the end of the half as we throw yet another hurry up int to fall behind 21-24 at half to the Houston Cougars. So the second half becomes a run fest and clock control half. We score another 27 while our defense only allows 7 so we end up victors 48-31 FINAL.
Week 6 at Marshall
This game we “decide” to throw our pick-6 right away and get it over with. But as usual our run game and defense stake us a 21-14 halftime lead. The second half is just more of the same as we roll 38-17 FINAL.
Since these updates are a bit shorter; I will throw 2 more weeks at ya
Week 7 Rice at home. This game was never in doubt; but once again we have way too many passing miscues; 2 redzone interceptions thrown and a 4th down drop. A 21-0 half time lead becomes a 37-7 blow out Final. This takes us into a Week 8 bye at 7-0 and not yet ranked.Last edited by KmanAmmo; 07-08-2015, 12:26 AM.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
I didn't keep as many game stats as I wished now. Sorry for that. I do have plenty of end of season stats though at least. Saying that though is because the next three weeks didn't really present any good games.
Week 9 versus UAB. This game was 28-7 at half despite not passing decent nor being able to push the pile at the goal line. 48-21 FINAL thanks to my run game once again.
Week 10 at Tulsa. 28-7 at half on my way to a 49-14 FINAL.
Week 11 versus Tulane. I decided to open up my 122nd ranked pass game (yes go ahead and lol). I did nothing but pass for 3 full possession minus a goal line run on my way to a 35-14 lead at half. Tulane did make it look closer with some desperate drives and at least one onside kick, but 52-45 FINAL was never really that close.
So I enter Week 12 10-0; along with #1 Alabama #2 Ohio State #3 Florida and #4 Boise State. We finally crack the top 25 at #22. Week 12 is a bye and we still move up to #17 heading into week 13.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Week 13 sends us to North Texas. 11-0 and ranked #17 has us elated. More than we should be probably. Can anyone say trap game? Once again my o-line gets dominated early and my ground game stalls and by now I think you know how much faith or skill we have at passing. 10-13 half. Once again our defense is holding it's own and keeping us in the game. The second half opens up with a pick 6 … for them 10-20 them; early 3rd quarter. My run game finally gets on track and we start to move the ball and control the clock. Slowly we get back in the game and pull out a 31-27 FINAL.
We are currently projected to face Vandy in the Liberty Bowl.
Week 14 bring La. Tech to the Alamodome. We have an early 0-7 deficit throw a couple of more interceptions including one in the end zone. (I forgot to jot down the halftime score; sorry) but we end up rolling to a 44-16 FINAL.
We are now 12-0 and ranked #10 as we enter a week 15 bye. Still projected to face Vandy in The Liberty Bowl.
After the week 15 bye we enter the Championship Game week #8 and will be facing Florida International University.
So Championship Week sees Florida moved up to #2 and facing #1 Alabama in the SEC Championship. Ohio State is #3 facing Nebraska for the B1G Championship. Boise State is still #4, all at 12-0. Same as us. Wink Wink.
The Conference USA Championship game pitted UTSA as the Home Team versus Florida International University. We are forced to attempt to pass as their d-line blows my line up regularly. Despite 2 late 2nd quarter sacks derailing drives we still move out 24-14 at half. The defense pitches a 2nd half shutout as we claim our first conference title 30-14 FINAL.
We moved up to #4 as Florida and Ohio State both lose. Boise State only moves to #3 as Nebraska shoots up to #2 with their B1G Championship.
We are invited to the Rose Bowl to face PAC 12 champions Arizona. Remember we played them and I told you to remember that game?
Joel Yates wins the Heisman as he rushes for over 2100 yards and scores 21 Tds.
Rose Bowl Game to come still.Last edited by KmanAmmo; 07-08-2015, 12:27 AM.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Went 8-6 (6-3) with Hawai'i in my first season (2014, simmed 2013). Lost to Utah State in the Mountain West Championship, but rebounded with a victory over MTSU in the Hawai'i Bowl. Now onto season 2, we are 2-1 with wins over Colorado and Colorado State. Check it out if you get a chance, the link is in my signature!Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Finally got my copy of NCAA 14 dusted off along with my 360. It's been two years since I've played the game so I wanted to ease in to maybe my favorite part of the game: really deep simming and moving up the coaching ladder from being an OC or DC at a small, 1-star prestige school to eventually being a head coach at a powerhouse program.
I did this a lot a couple of summers ago when I last played the game and remember it being a little too easy to turn any program into a powerhouse within a pretty short (3-6 years) span. But this time it's been really enjoyable and a challenge. I put coach progression on "slowest" and put some self-imposed recruiting "sanctions" on myself because I remember it being too easy to just wait until about week 5 or 6 and, sort all the recruits by interest%, and scoop up a handful of 4-star and 5-star recruits...even if it was at a one or two star prestige C-USA or MAC school. I also make 10 year commitments to my schools unless we really take off in the first 4-5 years, then I move on to another job.
Anyway, here's a breakdown of where I've been and what I've done:
New Mexico (Offensive Coordinator) 2013-2022
2013: 3-9
2014: 5-7
2015: 5-7
2016: 9-4 | Lost Poinsettia Bowl
2017: 5-7
2018: 7-6 | Won Armed Forces Bowl
2019: 8-5 | Won Hawaii Bowl
2020: 8-5 | Lost Poinsettia Bowl
2021: 8-6 | Won Poinsettia Bowl | Lost MWC Champ. Game
2022: 11-3 | Won MWC Championship | W MAACO Bowl
TOTAL: 69-59 | One Conf. Championship | 4-2 Bowl Record
UCLA (Offensive Coordinator) 2023
2023: 2-10 | FIRED
Iowa State (Offensive Coordinator) 2024-2033
2024: 4-8
2025: 5-7
2026: 7-6 | Won MAACO Bowl
2027: 5-7
2028: 9-4 | Lost Cotton Bowl
2029: 7-6 | Lost Cotton Bowl
2030: 8-5 | Won Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl
2031: 10-3 | Won Cotton Bowl
2032: 10-3 | Lost Sugar Bowl
2033: 13-0 | National Champs | Big 12 Champs
TOTAL: 78-49 | 1 National Champ. | 1 Big 12 Champ. | 4-3 Bowl Record
Tulane (Head Coach) 2034-2045
2034: 4-8
2035: 5-7
2036: 5-7
2037: 5-7
2038: 7-6 | Won Armed Forces Bowl
2039: 9-5 | Won Hawaii Bowl
2040: 7-6 | Won New Orleans Bowl
2041: 11-3 | Lost Sugar Bowl
2042: 9-4 | Won Armed Forces Bowl
2043: 11-3 | Won Rose Bowl
2044: 12-2 | Lost in National Championship Game
2045: 13-1 | Won Sugar Bowl
TOTAL: 98-59 | 5 Conference Championships | 6-2 Bowl Record
- I took over as UCLA's OC because they were down to a 2-star prestige but had gone 8-4 the previous season. We started my first (and only) season as preseason #10 before starting off 0-8 and finishing 2-10, so I got axed.
- Iowa State was a 1-star prestige program when I signed on as their OC the following season. They were coming off a 1-11 season and had gone 2-10 and 1-11 the two seasons prior to that. They were a dumpster fire which fortunately gave me more leeway in the W/L department. After a shaky start things started to pickup and I knew by my 5th season (2028) we were on the verge of taking over the Big 12. When I began as Iowa State's OC (2024) Texas completely and utterly owned the league. They had won the Big 12 Championship 10 years in a row and 4 national championships in that stretch. They also won the Big 12 my first three years in a row to run their streak to 13 straight. After I won the Big 12 Championship and a National Championship in my 10th year, I accepted the head coaching position at Tulane.
- When I took over at Tulane they were a 1-star prestige program who had gone a combined 7-41 the previous four seasons. We've yet to make a bowl game in my first three seasons but we're on the cusp and I'm slowly getting the program where I want them to be. The non-conference is hurting my record a bit because we've gone 4-4 and 5-3 in conference play the last two seasons after going 2-6 in conference play my first season.
- Meanwhile, back in Ames, Iowa, the Cyclones went on to win the next two championships and earned an unprecedented 3-peat on top of 3 straight 13-0 seasons, the first of which was my last with the program. They eventually ran their win streak to 46 in a row before losing to #3 and undefeated Baylor 49-42 in a 1 vs 3 showdown in Waco. Iowa State went on to win out the rest of the season, finishing 12-1 after a win in the Sugar Bowl, and ran their record over the last four seasons to 51-1.Last edited by hoopla32; 07-10-2015, 12:55 PM.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
I decided to use Kentucky because they suck in real life. I'm trying to build them up. First year I overachieved and went 7-6 and lost to Clemson in the Music City Bowl. The second year was horrible 5-7. I'm in the third year now. I managed to get ranked as high as #13 at 7-1. So it is week 11 and I am playing a 3-6 Louisville team at Commonwealth Stadium. I am thinking it is going to be an easy win. I was really wrong on that one. Lost 41-14 to the hated cardinals. Funny thing is I live in Louisville and I am a Louisville fan. I was delighted and angry all at the same time.Comment

Re: How is your dynasty going
Well, the Indiana experiment was a short lived one. Went 2-10 in my first season and 3-9 my second season and got fired. Just took the first offered head coaching job in the coaching carousel which ended up being 1-star 77 overall New Mexico State.Comment
