Re: RIVALS 23-24
The irony of Breezy cheating is he wouldnt have dropped that far bc USC was ranked high AND it was early in the year, meaning he would be ahead of me right now and wouldve played ASU for the title spot.... instead he lost to an unranked team later and now he's cookedComment

Re: RIVALS 23-24
So Breezy....
I noticed you had 3 4th down attempts this last game.. were they all inside the 35? All sim? Seems like a high amount compared to everybody else in the league who follows the rules 🥸
Also noticed your backup had 2 rushing tds? Never seen that in the history of Rivals or Hogans league? Seems a little cheesy from the outside looking in compared to everybody else in the league who follows rules 🥸
You lost 15 players and your offense got better? Seems like you stop playing sim ball if you feel justified .... Anything you wanna admit to?

RIVALS 23-24
Rivals Coaching Union must deal wisely and assertively with this situation lest other coaches think this is acceptable and we lose the entire league

Re: RIVALS 23-24
Alright I’m actually kinda excited to explain this so here’s my novel.
When we got hit with these sanctions i still wanted to play our style of slow conservative pound the rock football/ with smash mouth defense. Well ucla and the Boise game let us do that strategy and defense wasn’t what it was but it was still working. I really thought at first this suspension wasn’t going to hurt us but man oh man I was really wrong. So we were 2-0 through two games and then boom division rival Stanford shows up. I was a little nervous going into this game but hey I had confidence that we would pull it out.
First drive we get to the 1 and fumble then Stanford would go on to an almost perfect passing game and score every drive but their last drive. So after getting down 23-7 (don’t quote me on that) we put butterfield in the ball game. Well I find out real quickly I should’ve been starting him against them because he would go on to have a decent passing game and he can throw it better than any QB I have on roster.
The cal game started out like the Stanford game punted four out of the first five drives and then switch to butterfield again until around 25 would use sets with Robby in them. Butterfield threw the ball all over cal’s DB’s. So it went back and forth like Stanford game but we forced three punts in the second half and a turnover on downs inside the ten (I believe).
So yes my offense has been “statistically better” buttt my offense play calling hasn’t been this aggressive in a long time in rivals. So now with my starters all returning, you’ll see a big drop in the passing game production due to having all my pieces to run run run. We couldn’t run against either Stanford or cal due to early deficits and cal rush D was phenomenal.
And I’ll add getting all my defensive studs idc to punt the ball or take a risk for a field goal and miss it. My defense is the key to my whole team. I needed them really bad against Stanford and it may have made a difference. We’re super slow and can’t play man with what I have rn. Got torched a lot these last three games.
So finally after all this explanation, yes offense looks better but defense looks a lot worse giving up almost double the yardage during these five games. I’ll post my Washington state game too after this. This might be the worst team I’ve played all year btw so my stats are ridiculous both sides of the ball. But all their touchdowns came are dusting my defense in the pass game.

Re: RIVALS 23-24
I do know what sim is, but with two o-linemen out on offense and punting 4/5 first drives I have to play throw the ball and throw it downfield? What you want me to keep running the ball and keep punting and lose lol? Butterfield is a downfield passer so I take more shots down field with him instead of short and mid stuff with Thompson/ashford. A coach adjust to their situation. Cal only scored twice in the second half on their five possessions and when I switched to butterfield my offense scored. Of course it didn’t help gets Stanford because my defense let them score every drive and they had close to 700 yards of offense. What you do when rattler wasn’t producing? You put Williams in……
I guess next time I’m down I’ll just keep ashford in and let the team win. I’ve ran a 2-QB system since I been at Oregon and now with them scoring 43,50 it’s not sim lol. The only game I haven’t scored 35 or more points was against arch. We scored 28 and I ran the ball every single play just about.

literally nothing you just said has anything to do with sim leagues lol
Im gone leave it alone after this but Im just making sure you know what I mean because I assumed you did since you joined the league but I never actually talked to you.. the situation with my brother and the kick return against USC are 2 situations that were "realistic" but not "sim" because nobody else would even consider doing either of those.. Im just hoping you understand that part because Im just now realizing that all of your explanations ever have been about stuff being realistic
You saying "idc to punt" is all I was referring to earlier, not your yards or anything.. Thats just the opposite of something anyone in an OS league would say thats why I asked.. If you understand all that then we goodComment

WEEK 13
-----------------
**** GOTW ****
[emoji91] 5 MICHIGAN ST vs 15 PENN ST [emoji91]
Gameday is going up north this week for a cold battle between 5 Michigan State and 15 Penn State. Michigan State is still in the Title hunt and even at 5 they are closer than you think. 15 PSU this week, 9 Michigan next week, and 11 Nebraska in the B1G Championship if they win out. They have a real good chance of jumping to the top 1 loss team and if ASU and/or Air Force drops a game they could be in there. This weeks matchup pits MSU's #1 ranked overall offense against Penn States #1 overall defense. Must see tv. The Spartans have been run first behind Heisman hopeful Kenneth Walker but they can pass the ball too. Penn State plays a similar style but they just arent as good at airing it out. They are hoping to get their starting QB back a week early but either way their offense goes through Devyn Ford, the breakout RB. I cant see Sparty losing at home but rivalry games in college football dont care about any of that. I want to see if the top offense or top defense prevails more than who wins the game personally, thats a chess match you cant beat. Give me Sparty at home for the win.
