Re: RIVALS 28-29
MISSOURI vs 4 OKLAHOMA
Snow game
1st Half
Missouri gets ball first and goes 3&out, we try to take the early lead but cant complete a pass and settle for 3. Both teams trade punts as our offense continues to struggle. They get their option offense going and score in 4 runs of 11, 9, 37, then 14. 7-3 Mizz. We have to punt again and their offense is still in a rhythm but their QB gets injured after running most of the half. They get to the redzone and throw a fade with their back up, Harvey picks it off in the endzone saving us from going down double digits. Both offenses struggle the rest of the half and its 7-3 Missouri at halftime.
2nd Half
We get ball first and go 3 & out again. Mizzou gets 3rd & 14 and tries a screen pass but Sullivan jumps it and runs it back 20 yds for a td and a 10-7 lead. Missouri answers by tying the game at 10 with a fg. OU puts their first full drive together capped off by Lewis scoring his 2nd td of the year on a WR reverse from 7 yards out. 17-10. OU gets it back and tries to make it a 10 point game with 4:55 left in 4th, but a 55yd fg is short. Missouri locks in and puts another good drive together tying the game at 17 with a huge run by Gray with 2:29 left. Sooners passing game still struggled and a 3rd and long pass to Tray was deflected. Sooners punt from midfield with 1:15 left, game tied at 17. 2 plays later their backup QB throws his 3rd int on the sideline, Hamby is the recipient this time. Sooners run the ball with a fg in their back pocket and Dunlap runs through 4 defenders for the go ahead td with 0:29 left. 24-17. Missouri gets to the 13 after a 54 yd bomb is completed but they cant score in the last 2 plays. Sooners survive

Re: RIVALS 28-29
WEEK 14
Barring a crazy upset by Auburn who will host #1 Alabama, or Navy who will travel to #4 Army, it looks like the top 4 will will stay the same going into CCW. Bama and Oklahoma will both have to win tough Championship games against rivals to advance, while Notre Dame and Army will be praying for upsets at home. Alabama vs Oklahoma is the most likely matchup for the natty which would be the 2 teams that appear to be the best in the nation at the moment.
The more intense race is the Heisman race which hasnt gathered too much info since the names have shifted so much. Rs Freshman Jason Munoz has had an absolutely ridiculous season at Tulsa and is the favorite to win the award. He will likely finish 3500 yds passing and 1200 passing along with 30+ passing tds and 20+ on the ground. This kid has been unbelievable in his first year on the field so his story cold end up being one of the best in college football history.Comment

Re: RIVALS 28-29
Another game where the CPU's run game went crazy. His first two carries went for 24 yds, then a 50 something td run. Its like any Rb that has a star, turns into the best Rb ever against me lol. I can't tell if its my players just getting smoked or if Its just Ea being Ea. I know a lot of defensive players aren't rated high but sometimes its like wtf is going on lol. Whole game was pretty close tbh but we got the upper hand scoring before halftime and scoring again to start the 3rd quarter. We got a nice 14 point lead because of it. Honestly already looking forward to next season. LSU beats rival Arkansas 49-35. LSU is also RTA for next week too..Comment

Re: RIVALS 28-29
CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK
SEC
Bama is the #1 team in the nation and they have been impressive all year, even after losing their Heisman hopeful at QB. Simmons has stepped up at RB and had an incredible season himself with no game being bigger than his performance against LSU. Bama is locked in and has looked good since their loss to Army. This rematch against Tennessee is one to keep an eye on because Tennessee only lost by 7 the first time around. Its a rivalry that has been pretty one sided for a long time but Tennessee could very well he the team that pulls the big upset this weekend. I expect Bama to come out on top because of Simmons however. I think he can steal the Heisman this year with a big performance.
BIG 12
Oklahoma has owned Texas the past decade. The Longhorn fans thought that the new staff might be just what they need to get over the hump but the team actually looked worse the first time these teams played this year. Fans are blaming the settings but they'll get their chance to prove that they are forreal. Hart will be playing his last game in this rivalry and desperately wants to walk away with a win, but that will be tough. OU has played 3 Big 12 Championships against Texas with the Natty on the line... they choked the first time, won the second but lost to Cuse in the natty, and won the last time then beat Ohio State. This will be number 4 and the pressure will be through the roof especially with a freshman at QB.
PAC 12
Oregon was predicted to be the 3rd or 4th best team in the Pac 12 and their slow start proved why, but once they started Pac 12 play it was over for the entire conference. The Ducks havent done anything particularly special and have no players at the top of any stat or award lists. They have just found a way to win week after week after week and its been impressive. USC's season hasn't gone as smooth but they still have one of the best RBs in the country leading the squad in Champ Parker. USC was predicted to win the Pac 12 so despite the records they can still accomplish that goal. I think this game can go either way to be perfectly honest. Oregon has owned the conference thus far and beat USC 42-37 earlier this year. That game was in Oregon, this one may have a different outcome.
ACC
Very intriguing matchup between these 2 Florida rivals. I had Miami beating FSU in this game to start the season. As things played out Miami at one point was the worst team in the ACC, but once the settings switched back they went on a crazy run winning 6 out of their last 7. That one loss however did come at the hands of FSU. The Noles are legit and could easily be in the Natty conversation had the rankings been different so my prediction was not a slight to them but moreso my expectations of this Miami offense, which finally picked up where they left off last year. Im on the fence with it now because FSU exceeded my expectations so I'll just say expect this one to come down to the last drive.
BIG TEN
Cincinnati isnt a program that believes in moral victories, but getting to this point has been a journey. Since joining the conference they have had a few seasons where they were playing real good football up until they faced Ohio State. Even the times they gave Ohio State a game they just couldn't get over that hump. They are finally in the Big Ten championship and they want to make the most of this moment. Iowa on the other hand has been consistent the past few years to the point that they have started to become the team you expect to be here at the end. Michigan will usually get the benefit of the doubt because of how much talent they have, but Iowa has been the more consistent team. Iowa won 7 straight games before last weeks upset to Nebraska. I think they bounce back and finish what they started. Cincy not having their QB is huge.Comment

Re: RIVALS 28-29
2029 BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP
4 Oklahoma 11-1(8-0) vs 5 Texas 10-2(7-1)
1st Qtr
Texas gets ball first and OU has them in a complete box, but Texas returns the favor sending OU on a 3&out. Second drive for Texas is Hart delivering on 3rd downs and eventually taking a 7-0 lead on a 2 yd read option. OU bounces back as well but a play action pass against a Texas blitz had Davis cough it up at the 21.
2nd Qtr
Hart continues to bail Texas out on clutch plays and 3rd and long from the 41 ends in a Longhorn td as Hart hits Smith on 4 verts. 14-0 Texas with 6:08 in the 2nd. OU gets inside the 50 but Davis coughs it up again trying to throw the ball away. 2 plays later McNair strips Owen and OU LB J.Gibbons scoops it up and takes it back. 14-7 Texas. OU defense steps up and forces a punt with 2:42 left and a chance to tie it up, but the first play Davis throws a pick 6 on an out. OU would get another drive to end the half and have to settle for 3. 21-10 Texas at the half.
3rd Qtr
OU gets ball first and Davis leads a long meticulous drive cutting the lead to 4 after a Dunlap goalline plunge. 21-17 Texas. Longhorns settle for a fg on their drive. 24-17. Sooners offense continues to move the ball as they get into Texas territory. 3rd & 3 from the 25 they call a speed option, safety fires up the field so quick that Davis makes the wrong read pitching it straight to him. 3rd fumble for OU.
4th Qtr
OU's defense steps up and McNair picks off the screen pass putting them at the 20. 4 plays later Davis makes the best play of his career stepping up in the pocket against a 3 man rush and extending the play then hitting Johnson in the back of the endzone to tie the game at 24. Texas has the ball for 3 minutes before eventually taking a fg with 2:49 left. Davis and Dunlap lead the perfect drive with Dunlap scoring the go ahead td with 0:10 left to put OU up 4. Hart only has time for 1 hail mary after a squib kick and the dbs get beat, no one jumps, Smith catches an overhead pass in stride in the endzone. Game over.

Re: RIVALS 28-29
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2029
1 ALABAMA 12-1 vs 2 TEXAS 11-2
One thing about College Football that makes this greatest sport ever is that you truly cant script anything out in any week of any season. 2 teams that people gave no shot to are going head to head in a rematch of the 2010 National Championship.
Alabama wasnt even projected to win their conference this year with major losses on defense and LSU joining the conference, but somehow they found a way to survive one of the toughest schedules in the Nation. Their one loss came to Army in the middle of the year and they responded with 7 straight wins including their biggest win coming against LSU, a game that was supposed to be a sure loss. Simmons emerged as the leader of this team as they dealt with their QB injury and it was that LSU game that people knew Bama was in the hunt. Their secondary still lacks playmakers so this matchup against Hart presents the same concern that LSU did. If they can weather the storm I think Simmons can close the deal.
Texas is one team that always gets extra love from the voters. This isnt the first time they had 2 losses but got in over 1 loss teams with better resumes. Regardless they got the biggest win of the entire season when it mattered the most and that finish against Oklahoma will be remembered forever. The Longhorns werent given a chance after their 40-16 loss in the Red River Shootout and it seemed as if this staff was the wrong move all together. They lost the following week to LSU giving up almost 60 points at home. Even in the Big 12 Championship it felt as if the scheme just wasnt going to work, but all theyve done is prove people wrong. Gus can silence all the critics that said he couldnt fill Arch's shoes with a win against Bama.
One interesting thing to note is that while Texas does have 2 losses, both came in U5 games, meaning they are undefeated against all other cpu teams since Arch's departure. Dont put anything past Texas. Hart has the goods to keep up with Bama, Simmons has the goods to run through Texas. Instant Classic on the way.Comment

Re: RIVALS 28-29
Pretty easy win overall. We pretty much shutdown ND Qb from running and passing for 3 quarters. I think going into the 4th quarter he had 95yds passing. ND's Qb had a big 4th quarter passing against my back ups tho. Offense and defense both played well all game. Stovall went 19/20 299yds and 5 td's passes in only 3 quarters. I think that was his last game, pretty sure he's a SR. Losing 3 or 4 OL too smh. LSU beats ND in the Fiesta bowl, 45-10.Comment

Re: RIVALS 28-29
SUGAR BOWL
3 ARMY 11-1 vs 7 OKLAHOMA
Army comes out on what feels like full EA mode with their triple option. Their FB was ths fastest player on the field whenever he touched the ball. They went up 17-7 quick after 2 good drives and a one play 75 yard drive with that FB breaking 7 tackles and out running everybody. Was pretty sure it was going to be 40 point loss but Dunlap had his best half of the year and kept us in it with almost 100 yds on the ground and 50 receiving. Davis was sharp the whole night too but the second half is when he really got going. Took me til the middle of the 2nd qtr to find something that would somewhat slow them down and once I did we were good. 2nd half we were more comfortable. Survived the early storm, no turnovers, playmakers showed up, W every time. Really hate we didnt get to play Bama. 2nd straight year a hail mary keeps us out of the natty. Fun season though. Probably Dunlap and McNairs last game, I expect them to leave early along with some sophs just because that always happens with us. Gone miss these kids forreal.
