Re: VSN Arcade Podcast scheduled to interview EA's Rex Dickson and Clint Oldenberg!
I absolutely hated what was said about bad snaps. It happens in football, it should happen in the game. So what if we have no control over it. Players in real life have no control over the direction of the wind and how hard it's blowing. Players in real life have no control over how wet the ball gets after it's been placed when it's raining. Why should it be a CONTROL issue if these things are organic in the game of football? That is 1 thing I loved about the other game, those moments when the game is riding on a field goal, and the place holder fumbles the snap, or the long snapper snaps it too high. It happens in real life & sure it is frustrating, but that is the beauty of the game of football. I don't want to hear that User Control nonsense.Comment

They are always saying in 2 or 3 years. Clearly EA just doesn't have the talent to develop a game year in and year out.Comment

Aside from that, even though the Madden game play team has this long term goal, there is no certainty what the other Madden teams have in mind for their respective aspects. So we could very well have a case where the game play in Madden 18, four years from now, is finally complete and the best ever experienced in a football game but aspects like broadcast presentation and career mode don't compliment it.
I think people should appreciate Rex's and Clint's candor though, at least we know what to expect. Nobody should be on here in November this year, next year or even the year after wondering why Madden still isn't complete.Comment
