He keeps talking bout being a man, a leader of men yet he comes off as a teenager in his vids. Too much profanity, copping pleas talking bout people making racial comments about him yet hes making hate comments towards gays. Presentation matters, and he presents himself in a negative way. It just takes away from the point hes trying to make in his vids.
So who do we believe when it comes to the GameChanger program?

Re: So who do we believe when it comes to the GameChanger program?
I think there's only one word to describe what's happening here: bizarre.
For one, Coach Ruckus is one of the coolest guys I've encountered in Florida. Yes, he's high octane and energetic. But at his gaming core, he's a legit sim player, so at some level, it sucks that he's no longer part of the program.
Two, I don't know the background on what happened and what led to his termination. It seems like whatever it was, it got personal. That said, I do think there's a more effective way to get his message out. Many will tune him out just because they don't want to indulge in all the extras.
As for what he's putting out there, if you sift through all the extras and etc, there is some substance there. And he's not the only GC (former or otherwise) that's become exhausted with the slow progress of this series.
Even the most loyal GCers seem to be losing that optimism -- at least it doesn't come across in their tweets or blogs. I think that's the biggest takeaway from all of this. This game continues to be stagnant. It continues to be a game in which you don't expect to be fully immersed in the NFL experience. It continues to be a game where you can't expect certain options/sliders to work as their supposed to with no acknowledgement year after year (CCM auto sub sliders anyone). Madden provides a microwaved experience of the NFL, when we've been waiting on a full course meal for far too long now.
So while many will get lost or disinterested in the messenger & his presentation perhaps, there is indeed some substance to be found in his message.Last edited by RGiles36; 02-09-2014, 07:03 PM.Comment

Racism = I'm not listening to any of it and you just discredited your entire conversation.
It's a shame too because he could have given us a quality insight. I mean some might get it, but I'm not going to listen to the other garbage to get to the information.
I can really understand his frustration. If I went to somebody with ideas that I and many people who listen to me wanted to see implemented and I got turned away all the time I'd be frustrated.
The delivery is straight garbage and he looks like a fool, IMO.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: So who do we believe when it comes to the GameChanger program?
The best games that are made have one thing in common, they make you forget your playing a game. With Madden, I am constantly reminded I am playing a game. I am not going to sit here and tell you what the answer is on how to fix it, but I can say that if the sales continue to be strong then why fix it?
I'll admit I am part of the problem and buy madden at launch day every year, they hype the game and I eat it up. Maybe this year I'll just buy it used...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

As an outside observer ( I don't follow Madden anymore since I don't play)i just watch the "Online play" trio of vids and this dude clearly fell off the deep end. like the first 3 minutes of the first video,he making good points. but then he got to the " conversation" part you could hear the madness take over him. I spend the next two videos thinking "did this fool compare talking to the developers at community days to slavery"? shame because he was making some very good points but how he presented himself no way in hell can I take him seriously.

Re: So who do we believe when it comes to the GameChanger program?
Who do we beleive? Truth lies somewhere in the middle. Obviously EA, their community leaders and other game changers won't respond directly. One has to wonder why and what Ruckus did to be "excommunicated" from the program, but none if this is news. CrimsonTide said just as much in November last year.Last edited by BlackBetty15; 02-12-2014, 11:44 PM."Im all jacked up on mountain dew!"

But I think it was all for that move at the end where he wipes his mouth with the Game Changers napkin.

Re: So who do we believe when it comes to the GameChanger program?
After watching all 13 videos a couple of times, I come away with the following:
1. He been involved with EA for many years and felt like the game wasn't improving fast enough from the years he been going down there. He felt like the head devs, the ones at the top simply dismissed his 30 pages of ideas every time he gave them to them.
2. He didn't seem to like the idea EA brought in SGibs and Zfarls into the program because they are tournament style players and they moved Madden into a more tournament style game for the past few years. Sure he didn't call them out by name, but it was pretty obvious who he was talking about when he said Prima Guide guys.
3. He feels as though Shopmaster and Madscientist stole The Game Changers Radio show from him. And I come away with the impression he really don't like Madscientist.
So in the end of the day, it really wasn't about a 2K vs EA thing at all. Just about a guy who feels as though that Madden should be a hell of a lot better then it is now. And feels as though the head developers simply don't listen to people who give them ideas to better the game into a more sim style game, but instead listen more to the people who want the game more tournament style, win at any cost type of players.
He does bring up some valid good points in about 2 or 3 of his videos. Problem is, all that good valid points is buried among the other 10 videos that simply comes off as an angry ex.
If this is the case then people need to get off his case calling him an angry butt hurt kid! This guy quit the program because he knew it was BS! I give the man props for that, not too many people are willing to give up the perks of being a GC. They rather keep lying to their listeners and propagating false hope for their personal gain.Last edited by Bruce LeRoy; 02-18-2014, 07:38 PM.Comment

Re: So who do we believe when it comes to the GameChanger program?
I find that trusting in the words of any corporation over regular people, is a bad idea...Corporations are out to make money - nothing more, nothing less...People are objects to be used and tossed to the side...Anyone with loyalty to a corporation is setting themselves up to be messed over.
EA will continue to hype a sub-par product and play games with consumers..They do not care about anything if the profit is there..
EA does a nice little show with getting game changers and crap like that, but it is all to give the consumer false hope; keep the user wanting the drug, even though the high is gone..Comment
