IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking?

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
You are full of ****. There was entire video series built around the wackiness that takes place when you alter attributes.Well speaking on the topic of gameplay, I just finished an analysis were i zeroed every attribute for every player on the Titans roster except...
-Speed and Acceleration
-QB Throw Power
-K/P Power and Accuracy
and what impact did this have on gameplay with default Sliders/0 Sliders/Max Sliders?
"Absolutely Nothing from ratings viewpoint"!!!
With Scouting and Drafting being talked about today, what's the point JP when "0" Ratings plays exactly the same as if the players had ratings?
Gameplay was pretty much the same on all skill levels, as well as custom.
Everything we're talking about now to lead up to the unveiling of the improved Gameplay showing at E3, is of no value because it's all cosmetic with the AI displaying no difference between having an numerical attribute or a "0".
Players behaved/animated exactly the same.
I never knew this game was so predetermined/programmed to this extent.
Maybe there was a "Total Overhaul" that can't be revealed right now.
I hope!!!
Enough with the ratings don't matter myth.Comment

Uploaded XB1 roster to see for yourself if you want.

Since this is about the soon to be released info about "improved" gameplay at E3, I wanted to see for "myself" how much of a difference can there be if there wasn't some type of overhaul involved.
No EA bashing/conspiracy theory going on here my friend.
Just a logical question to JP based off of what I saw during the test and how much gameplay improvement can really be done if the same foundation is used.
You got me confused with someone else!!!
BTW, I didn't alter ratings, I completely zeroed every rating of every player/position to see its impact on gameplay.Last edited by khaliib; 06-12-2015, 08:15 PM.Comment

I don't need to because I've done tests myself. I've seen the breaking Madden series also. And though I personally never tried them, enough people on this forum have used the roster edits from FBG and say the game plays differently.Uploaded XB1 roster to see for yourself if you want.

Zeroing every rating is altering them.
The ratings do matter.Comment

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
Yes since we're leading into the E3 showcase of Gameplay.
I know you can't discuss now, but just trying to grasp just how much improvement can there be with the same foundation being used.
My point was that it's hard to try and grasp the excitement that you have pertaining to the improvement of gameplay you saw during your hands on when the same foundation that drives gameplay we have in M15, will be the same foundation used for M16.
So I did the extreme "0" ratings to show a driving issue that the current foundation suffers from and the difficulty to share/grasp the excitement you feel we will have next week, if it's just a continuation build from M15.
Hope this clarifies a little more of the thought I was asking out loud.
Just hope speaking out loud!!!Comment

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
The number one issue with Madden gameplay is the abundance of suction, warping, and motion shifting, pre-determining the outcome of plays. This stuff needs to be completely removed, it trumps ratings and ruins the game. If this stuff is still in Madden 16 or not greatly reduced, then it will be a epic fail imo.Comment

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
It's amazing how people change their tunes when you present them with thought-filled rationale backed by evidence.
I lost total faith in EA and Madden as a sim that August day nearly 4 years ago. I even reported my disappointment in the FBG thread, which ironically, was the reason they contacted me in the first place.
I think that some people are in total denial here and more or less keep their heads buried in the sand...or they just don't care. The whole reason I revived the FBG site in the first place was to prove that Madden CAN have accurate ratings applied. Then, once correctly applied, it can change how this game plays, for the better. Not only will players be rated as their real-life counterparts SHOULD BE RATED, but you will see that the game will carry over those adjustments into more accurate gameplay.
Not everyone at EA is bad in this regard, though. After all, it was a Madden Dev that contacted me outside of these forums via my personal email to tell me that he loved the site, showed it to his manager, and his manager was blown away. I hate to admit this, but it almost reeked of them TRYING to put Donny aside, should they find a suitable replacement. IDK, maybe they were going to promote him to a higher position, but that is another feeling I had. I suppose I could have simply said, "Sure, I will do what ever they want and will change whatever ratings the management wants me to change!" and I may have nailed the job.
But...
Would I have been able to go to sleep every night knowing that all the hard work and effort I put into this could be compromised by someone who has likely never 1) played the game, 2) coached the game, or 3) done the appropriate research and sought the appropriate sources to be any sort of authority on the issues regarding rating players in Madden?
Nope. Couldn't do it.
My hope, truly, is that there are some good devs over there who will be placed into more authoritative roles one day and that they will harbor feelings of truth and ethical responsibility to give this community what it deserves: a game that is an escape so real, that we can become lost in it all over again as we once did in the hay-day of Madden 2003-2006.Dan B.

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
The gameplay info up to this point (even with E3 and all of the blogs) isn't good enough to make up for disregarding CFM.
And the addition to the "new Mode" Fantasy Football Draft (MUT extension) is just salt in the wound.Comment

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
Maybe this is unpopular but I think CFM sounds good but madden hasn't had good game play the last like 10 years and that is what I am most worried about and why I am most likely not going to get the game.Comment

X 2 on thi comment. And, I will also add that I'm not impressed at all with the gameplay videos I have seen. I would give it a 5/10 in its current state. I'm really depressed they let us down againComment

Re: IF the gameplay is good enough, can it make up for what CFM appears to be lacking
They need to hire 2K devs to take over and stop making this game for turnament players and ppl that dnt knw Football and dnt go deep in the game to care about were this game is headed. Other year other year. Nothing has been dne to CCM so there is no need to ask about if they added a injury system along with new anamations. Wow is all i can say. Sad year..Comment
