    2) are the Players in the draft real Players? It's confusing because of the real faces they got.
    Thanks!
    1) I play with 15min quarter with runoff to 16. If I play on high enough difficulty I don't get ridiculous stats but still have the occasional blowout or loss. Armor's sliders, all-pro.

    2) No, the faces are slightly edited versions of former players (possibly current players) and random photos they have taken over the years. Drafts are randomised for names, attributes and size. There are new player models this year too!! But the computer face doesn't match the pic when creating players ha.

I can put my LOLB scheme on one thing and it will make his OVR 89. I can change it to something completely different and his OVR is 95.
Yes, player scheme has an in game effect. There is a whole separate thread on this. Sorry I don't have the link.

I seem to have drafted a buch of players from colleges in Florida in my Dolphins franchise and i'm just wondering if this has a positive effect in the long run, even if it has not been the purpose. And if it does, does this affect your drafting, i.e. do you lean towards drafting a player from a local college if you have two players that you are having a hard time deciding between?
Player college affects some things. 1st round players are typically from bigger colleges, come with higher overalls but are more likely to bust (have slow dev). A lot of late round gems come from smaller colleges.

Personality and popularity is determined in the offseason but i haven't worked out when yet. I drafted the same player multiple times and his popularity changed each time in the post draft review.

They influence where the CPU spends the XP, don't use end of year at all, either weekly or monthly is best. See the QB awareness thread. Does not change the amount of XP collected.

Fake snap with a high AWR QB and make sure your OL has higher AWR so they don't jump offside (or improve penalty discipline... darn you Matt Kalil!). not 100% sure about all this, but I notice a difference with higher AWR.

Is it possible to create a player mid cfm and then retire them to control the coach again without the player disapeering?

No, you have to create said player before you upload the roster to CFM.

How are you guys building up your CB positions. In my franchise, I have found 2 good CBs with superstar development in the draft, but they are very slow to gain XP so I can upgrade them. I don't play online CFM with the xp sliders because I like the ability to shut off my xbox and have it save my game in case I run out of time to finish the game (get limited time at night with the xbox, usually after the wife goes to bed...lol). I like the fact that in general it is slower to build up a player this year, but secondary has always been extremely slow and this year that is magnified even more.

It is tough, I like to play as the Vikings in offline CFM and they already have 2 quick dev corners. The Madden team also just adjusted down a lot of CB ratings so it gets tougher if you play with the real roster updates. I can get decent XP in games and over the season if they get INT and especially Def TD. In order to do this, if I notice the CPU QB start throwing a few flats or screens (usually when they get itchy feet with good pass rush/pressure), call Cover 2 with underneath coverage. Similarly, if the team is running outside a lot call Cover 2 with press. The LB's usually get eaten up by blockers and its the CB's that make the tackle.

Voila, on your way to a player of the week and maybe a pro bowl. Don't use the XP to upgrade expensive stuff (physical, injury traits) focus on cheaper skills (PRC, AWR, MAN, ZONE) and they will go up a lot faster. There is a cap to how good a player can be based on size (scheme), physical and injury though (once you get intangibles to 99).

Hey, question about scouts in CFM: Each scout has a specialty, like WR Spec Catch, or MLB Pursuit. I know that you get a discount on the position that is listed, but why is an attribute listed as well? Does anyone know what that does?

Also, what does the scout's rating do (other than increase the price to sign him)?

                          Thanks!

I think the specialities are a carry over from previous Madden CFM. I could be wrong but I believe it doesn't do anything.

The scouts level contributes towards your staff rating/ranking. You generally get better stuff with higher level scouts (like all offensive scout discount) and the trainer level sometimes means better regression after injury but there are some low level world class trainers in the game. The only variable on your staff rating in owner mode is hitting your coach coals and levelling up.

are we sure the scout specialty doesn't matter? My scout is a defensive OVR specialist and I get a discount on scouting all defensive player attributes. I guess it could be because of his level, but how else would it decide if he gets an offense vs. defense bonus?
