I've been following this thread (haven't posted). One thing I find refreshing and interesting about the topic is the discussion centers around balance and will a feature be realistic or not. That the discussion centers around the possibility of realism and gameplay makes me give Rex and his team credit.

What makes me like this thread so much is that you can talk about/discuss gameplay and realism with some of the new gameplay features. I really wish the same could be said for CFM.

With those sliders (just changed a few to 40 on the USER side) I had about 35 percent completion rate on aggressive catches when I pressed Y each time, and then the 0-4 output the next time letting WRs do it themselves.

If the sliders are equally as effective for user games in CFM, well, thats gonna be awesome

If you leave the cues on and dont press any buttons you can see the AI controlled WRs on your team decide between what type of catch they need to attempt dynamically. Sometimes it starts as an aggressive but changes to possession if the ball is sailing toward the sideline, and vice versa. Guys without the aggressive catch trait still attempt aggressive catches they just don't do it as well seemingly.

thats good news ... thanks for the updates. Im glad to see WR's somewhat can make a choice as to which catch to attempt. i may end up just letting the cpu catch for me if i feel like im OP the CPU.

Gonna fool around with the aggressive catch but I won't wait long to turn it completely off. Madden 16 looks good without it.

I counted 7 pass breakups. After seeing this video, I don't have any concerns left about the WR catch being over powered, even on aggressive.

I was asked to get a vid of a low rated player with the traits enabled, and how well he goes for the aggressive catches

Rookie WR for Cleveland, 70 ovr with 79 spec catch but has ALL the traits enabled to start with

all CPU controlled catches, I just throw the high point.

Keep in mind in ALL my videos user accuracy and catching are at 40

Great vid. I wonder how many of those he might have caught on 50. Really glad to see the D putting up a nice fight there especially a corner with good ratings. This is exciting. Can't wait to get into this game and start slider testing.

this is def. promising as being one of the best maddens yet on a last/next gen system. after those vids above me, thanks guys for posting.. i really like the CPU controlled catching, much more sim feeling in terms of ratings actually matter.

But i think we all agree McCray would get beat up by Megatron any day and twice on sunday. So im ok with him catching that many AGG catches. But i would like to see it tuned some, so McCray at least had a chance a couple more times, alot of time he was out of position...which is a lil annoying but not huge.

After running five games against the cpu on all-pro I would say it is not OP. I only caught one aggressive catch in those games. I don't play mut or online so I am happy with what I see. Now playing mut and h2h might be a different story.

The streamed games with Farls and Gibs is proving Aggressive catch is not overpowered..
