Anto gets a mind blowing spec catch in perfect double coverage in this video. Which is fine, I have no problem with a great catch in the clutch.

But then the very next play, he throws into double coverage again and gets another impossible catch. I dunno if Zfarls incorrectly used an interception catch in that situation but even so, that first catch should have never happened based on how well he was covered.

wow no kidding, that was hard to watch. yikes

also, i had to do a double take at one part- i thought they brought back the qb vision cone!

He is playing Draft Champions. You can get 20+ point ratings differences between elite/drafted players vs. base players. DC game balance is unique to that mode, it plays very differently from online ranked/play now/cfm.

also earlier in the video he tried it and the cornerback got an amazing interception, so it can really go either way I guess

hey guys, I did a little testing in practice mode.

me Denver, cpu defense seattle.
shotgun three wr set vs nickle cover 3 press, i had D.T. running a fly routes vs sherman.
I was 5 for 10 aggressive catch vs sherman in cover 3 press.
Next i choose Nickle cover 3 in the nickle 2 gap formation vs same shotgun three wr set, with D.T. running a fly route vs sherman.
I went 3 for 10 aggressive catch vs sherman.

Now i know H2H is going to be different.
still going to do more testing.
Also this was on default ALL PRO.

I have been thinking that the Nickel 2 Gap is part of the answer to many run plays, like the 01 Trap, that were very effective in M15...They apparently also changed how 4-3 defensive linemen attacked gaps; in M15 whenever I saw a 4-3 defense, which was set with one DT at the 1/2 gap and the other DT at the 3 gap, it was a sure thing that Trap 01 was going to get big yards, unless you adjusted the DT's to crash the middle, but the CPU didn't do that, so easy yards..

in the 5 for 10 , i think 2 were picks
and the 3 for 10, three were picks.
it seems like to me the more cushion the DB has more chance of pick vs just a pass break up. Were as pressing the wr, more chance of aggressive catch being caught on you or just a pass break up.

this time me Denver vs cpu Browns

three wr set vs nickle cover 3 with D.T. running a fly route vs Haden.
4 for 10 aggressive catch , Haden had no picks.
three wr set vs nickle cover 3 buzz press.
8 for 10 aggressive catch. Haden no picks.

Default All Pro.
I'm starting to think Taller DB's play aggressive catch better when your pressing the wr. Haden 5'11, Sherman 6'2
when playing taller wr's.

From asking people who have the game already they are telling me the aggressive catches arent as bad as they seem. They are saying people are trying to go for ints and not using the play receiver button either because they dont know its there or they just want Ints.

From what im hearing going for the int instead of the knockdown is a huge risk vs reward this year which is why alot of deep bombs are being caught. So hopefully its true. The one handed catches are a little over the top tho still. They should be a rarity not the norm.

With the nature of what the buttons do, we will all run into insane catches and even a spree of where it seems the button is OP or isn't working.

Overall, it seems that it balances out, though.
