What are your settings and is this in CFM?

        It's in CFM.

Bush only got about 3-4 carries, but I typically threw when Hyde came out. Hyde was coming out after 3-4 carries or 5-6 plays. I noticed Torrey Smith coming out after 4-5 plays, whether I threw to him or not. It took a little longer for Boldin to come out. My OL rotated out some on longer drives.

I didn't pay as much attention to defense, but I did see some substitution there.

            10 with runoff at 25.

I've wondered if less runoff time means less time to recover and thus more subs. But I haven't tested with anything else.

I'm using 20s runoff, and don't see many subs. The backup D-Linemen only get 2-4 snaps a game. I'll try 25 and see if it changes anything.

              Also, I was wondering...

Auto subs are supposed to be something like 'level of fatigue/stamina at which the player comes out and back in', right?

If auto subs don't work in CFM (as I'm almost sure), how do they every come out/in? What level does the computer use to make the subs? I've seen Gronkowski come out after a couple long plays, or the receivers change after I had a pick-six, for example. But sometimes I look in the formation selection and see some guys are orange/red. What is the limit?

There HAS to be some value hard-coded or something, because otherwise they would never come out. Or do they run down to 0 before getting subbed?

              EDIT

Just played a game with 25 acc clock, and apparently no difference in the subs. My RB had 30 carries or so, and he didn't get out for more than 1 play at a time. Backup had 2, I think (the RB got injured late in the game, though).

D-Line didn't rotate much, and CB/LB were playing in red sometimes.

Fatigue is set at 62, and I have RB sub in/out at 95/90, so I was expecting the backup would get a lot more carries...

auto sub SLIDERS!!!!!! do not work

                SLIDERS

auto subs work fine but they are baseline set at 60-80 or whatever the default value level is.

In play now auto sub sliders work. Players will sub in and out without hitting red or even yellow if that's how you set it. This is not possible in CFM, no matter what you set the sliders at no one will sub out until they hit that default value(im pretty sure it's 60). And no one will stay in beyond 60 even if you set their sub out to 0. If you raise the fatigue slider all you will do is make players get tired faster, you may see more of your backups, but that does not mean you are actually seeing the sliders work properly

EA has ignored this issue for years and as far as I know non of the devs seem to acknowledge or even be aware of this issue, and I know i've tried countless times to tweet at the devs to get them to speak on it to no avail.

So let's spend less time on this thread trying to get the system to work and more time ensuring that the devs know we are having this problem

Worse yet, there is some evidence in the slider forum that auto subs affect gameplay. See Josh's slider thread around page ~75. This is making my head hurt. Lol

After digging were I'm not suppose to have access to, they are set at 80-60.
Also, there is a separate Auto Sub slider hidden from gamers.

What in the world are you talking about? All I want is for someone at EA to FINALLY acknowledge that auto subs do not work at all in CFM.

They won't acknowledge that because it's not true. Auto Subs DO work, the sliders that control them don't. It's very clear that they work when you bump the fatigue slider up to the 60-70 range (at a minimum)

I get your point, but if you pitched that question to the devs exactly as you phrased it here that's the answer you're going to get. Ask about the SLIDERS, not the feature as a whole.

                                Le Sigh.

Okay. First, to make sure we're on the same page here - are you guys really saying that you NEVER see players get subbed out automatically due to fatigue in CFM? Because if you really are, then I find it rather hard to believe you've even played this game (for a few years - this has been a legacy thing since CFM was introduced). If you're saying they don't get subbed out ENOUGH, then you cannot say the feature doesn't work at all. I know it sounds like I'm playing semantics, but with the way this complaint is constantly phrased I really believe some people still do not understand the true cause of this issue, and instead choose to believe the entire feature does not work.

This is part of my latest OSSSL CFM game, played vs the CPU. I do have the other part, it just got split due to my stream randomly dropping. I can post that too if anyone wants.

(sorry, tried to embed but it didn't work):

Twitch is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers.

Watch the drive that starts at 10 minutes even, and ends at 14:55 with a TD. Towards the end, the starting WR's (Bryant, Reuben Randle, and Williams) start getting cycled out due to fatigue - I'm not changing them myself. That is an Auto-Sub. The same happens to HB's, although in this particular example I do the HB Sub thing and bring in Michael manually at one point (we have a rule about splitting carries in this league) and defensive guys as well. It happens all throughout this game at various positions, and becomes especially prevalent late in the game as nearly everybody starts drives at yellow fatigue.

We do actually have required auto sub sliders for this league, although I believe it's little more than window dressing. If those settings really worked as they're set to (for HB's it's 90 in, 78 out for example), I wouldn't have to worry about swapping out my HB manually to split carries - the game would be doing it for me. As it is now, my starter HB Joseph Randle (yes, same last name as the WR...lol) constantly goes into red before being subbed automatically, which I can all but guarantee is well after he hits 78 energy. In this game I didn't get much of a split due to being behind for the majority of it - that's also why Romo threw for almost 500 yards.
