Fix the damn coverage plz, tired of zone defenses shutting down the run as if they know exactly where u going. Also people using their safety as battering rams but not suffering from the ramifications of such an act like being knocked down or stumbling from running into a linemen.

The make up speed from doing that is ridiculous as the safety if able to go stride for stride with the wr who was 15-20yds away from the point of impact. Screens are cbased down from dlinemen who were in the qbs face just seconds before tbe ball was thrown 10yds over ther heads but are able to hawk down a speedy back who should have been in the wind.

Smaller speed backs break more tackles than power backs do

My examples aren't wrong, a little exaggerated maybe, but not wrong. Just look through some of the posts from this year and previous years and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Realistic progression would have statistics follow progression instead of progression relying on meeting goals.

I personally would like the game to have both actual values and perceived values for overall and attributes. The actual values would be hidden, while the perceived values would have some % of inaccuracy, represented by a number range or letter grade (including a player potential value). The accuracy of the perceived values would depend on how good the coaching staff is at evaluating talent for NFL players and how good the scouting staff is for rookie drafts.

My dream progression would depend on things like the
        Coaching staffs ability to teach,
What the coach decides to emphasize in practice (OTA's, Training Camp, Preseason, regular season, playoffs), for both team and individual drills,
        Players potential.

I'd like to see a PUP, practice squad, living/realistic injury system where players can play with injuries at a certain risk with reduced effectiveness.

More in the lines of Head Coach. I only had the PC version of HC, which was just the first one.

I would also like as much customization as possible. Custom Teams, full editing even during a franchise.

I realize a lot of people like that XP/Goals RPG feedback loop, but it is just not for me. Make's me feel like I'm putting a quarter into an arcade machine instead of being immersed into an NFL world. But like I said, it's just personal preference.
I don't disagree with you on these points I hate the rpg system.

We will just agree to disagree and I'll leave it at that. You seem like a good guy and I don't want to get into some meaningless back and forth.

No doubt, I'm not here to argue and actually I agree with your other points about the xp and other arcade like aspects, I just think that a lot of people claim to want realistic football but they really just want what they see on sportcenter. The minute the play on the field gets too real, they cry about how the game is broken because it's too hard.

things do need to be patched and tightened up. It's our right as a consumer to get things fixed ASAP. If you got a fish sandwich when you wanted a burger, you would report it right?

You sure you purchased the correct year of madden right?!?!? Just going off the "common" bitching its almost exactly opposite of everything you wrote.

This is PERFECT example there will never be a game to satisfy everyone.

Now with that said, I disagree with everything you said.

First, zone is far more likely to stop the run. All the defenders are facing the line reading the play. Man coverage has far greater chance in real life of missing a run read because they are turning their back to the play to trail WRs/TEs.

                  Never seen this safety issue.

Screens are much more commonly said to be overly effective. Proper play calling can shut them down but its still in favor if the offense. I wouldnt by any stretch say its chased down by dlineman who were in QB face. This alone makes me feel you not playing this year game because the new RAC makes the turning upfield much quicker.

Im thinking you are confusing the elusive rating with the break tackle rating. Smaller backs get away from tackles on jukes and spins but power backs surely break tackles by running through people 9 times out of 10 compared to a light speed back. Show me video proof Lynch breaking less tackles than say Reggie Bush.

My response is to the creator of this thread. It implies that to critique and to request for things to be done is shamed and looked down upon. When it isn't. Sneakers, Sports teams and video games are the three hardest things to speak out on in regards to critiquing.

Insults aside, please see what I was mentioning in regards to the original poster of this forum. I have expressed respectfully that this year's Madden has a nice feel to it in the forums. Even the one I created I said that they did a good job with the game. However, there are just a few things(technical, and aesthetics). I just critique and help as well.

                          Thank you,

Hardly an insult. It was a bad analogy, the end. Whether you like the game or not is immaterial.

I don't think anyone in this entire thread is saying the game is perfect. I interpreted the post to read about people complaining about now having to play sim football instead of Maddenball.

ie, there are too many penalties called, QB's are too inaccurate, etc....

It must have been my interpretation. But like I said, I love the game play of the game. Just a few tweaks( like weird graphic come ins and outs) and some aesthetic stuff and this game would be a 9.5/10 for me.
