I think this game is great. The gameplay is unreal, they just gotta fix the aggressive catch.

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
Most of the stuff you posted I agree with you, except for that darn word "broken" again.
I'm not sure, but it seems as if you didn't hear Rex's interview posted here. He owns up to the issues in CFM , apologizes and isn't happy about it.
And the car analogy isn't a good one because you added there were recalls on the car. That's called buyer beware and the buyer should do all the research available to them to make said purchase, just like whether to wait and hold off until the patch for Madden.
The game doesn't crash or freeze on my end, so, it is a working(ie not broken) game.
What I was arguing above is saying that the companies job does not stop after sales. They are still obligated to hand a product out that is all around suitable to play. I'm not even talking about just EA, but gaming companies in general.Champions of Baltimore

You would have a difficult time selling that idea to stockholders.
I wouldn't even go near a roster update for 20 bucks for any game, let alone 30 bucks. If I wouldn't, there are many more that would follow suit.
Plus, you want them to scrap out a new engine and put a new one in. That takes time and money throughout the year as well. ie manpower, expenses, etc....
I'll go back to my original question.
If you were CEO of EA, would you tell your stockholders that every other year, prepare to lose out on more money than you are used to receiving with stock price and dividends.
But to answer your question, if I wouldn't have voted for it as a stock holder I wouldnt bring it up... so yes I would vote for a 29.95 downloadable content and to make a better overall product. I would also fix an item I sold that was broken and make it a priority.Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
This is the first time in several years that I've been this enamored with Madden and intend on playing it longer than about the month that about the last 3 iterations have lasted. Once they tone down the aggressive catch a little and fix CFM, I may be hooked for awhile.
The best part is the Draft Champions has sucked me in while I wait for the CFM patch, and I can live with the aggressive catch with that mode since it won't be my primary game type. The other problem is I just want to keep doing the draft part of it lolComment

So far I have seen you posting about two things, this and how it isn't EA's responsibility to fix a broken game... I think I have seen enough to move on.

The difference of opinion comes from the word broken.
I guess you don't mind losing money as a stockholder every other year.Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
There is a buyer beware system for video games. Forums and review sites. whether they are effective is a different story. As I said above too, companies that release incomplete or glitched games tend to lose that loyal customer the next time around. Don't think for a second that Rocksteady(for example) won't see a dent in their sales because of that drama over there. I mentioned the car situation because it simply means that customers are entitled to a good working product. Recalls and things are done in order to fix what is broken all ready. If a car company knowing willingly sells someone that product and it cost dire straits they can be sued and go under.
What I was arguing above is saying that the companies job does not stop after sales. They are still obligated to hand a product out that is all around suitable to play. I'm not even talking about just EA, but gaming companies in general.
If the some of the bugs are fixed with the patch, I'm assuming the loyal customers would come back.Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
Like I said above, this is the most active I've been in YEARS lol. you'd have to go back to almost a decade ago when I was a fiery 19 year old posting on forums and calling up EA and etc to get uniforms right. Some of those forums are still here I believe. But I will say in the past 10 years they have improve tremendously with streamlining customer support and addressing problems. After they patch this stuff and hopefully fix the astetics (such as chiefs long sleeves) I'm leaving again to do other stuff.Champions of Baltimore

Isn't one of the purposes of these forums to point out flaws in the game, suggest possible improvements, and share ideas???
It may be an awesome game, but it is the complainers and critics that push EA towards improvement every year by doing what I mentioned above.
If it weren't for complainers, this "awesome" Madden may not have the features that you love so much.Comment

If I was an arcade player, I would want and prefer the past iterations of madden and play with a running QB that can outrun the defense and throw extremely accurate passes while on the run being chased by 3 linemen while facing his own end zone.
The sim community complained AGAINST this very fact and welcome this years realistic qb mechanics as user QB and cpu QB.
So if an arcade player complains saying that damn, how come my 78 rated QB with 60 deep accuracy very often misses my streaking WR downfield, you would get some resistance from the OS community, as OS is a sim-minded sports gaming community.
just depends on which side you sit really....
But I do agree with you, the complaints and criticisms are what keeps the devs on their toes and if done constructively, are beneficial for future iterations.Comment

This is 100 percent true, but sometimes people complain for different things.

He said wait to start specifically because draft classes can't be rescaled retroactively. That's it. Broken mode? Not really. I am playing my cfm now. If the rookie draft class thing bugs you then hold off. No excuses for that particular and the in game goal issues being missed. They need to be fixed asap.
For full disclosure I generally don't play multi year franchises. I play a series of single seasons with different teams each time.

Issue is people complaining about pass accuracy which is significantly more realistic than it's ever been because they can't play madden ball.
I am all for bringing up issue but when people advocate the game going backwards that where threads like this come up. We don't want ea to revert the qb accuracy to the way it was.

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
Madden 16 is a good example....offline play for me on play now is quite sim based, but if you want to make it arcade foot ball it's pretty simple.
turn down pass coverage
turn up fumbles/interceptions to add excitement
Turn up qb accuracy
turn up run blocking
turn up wr catch
and voila, you will have yourselves a shootout nearly every game with game changing turnovers, big tackles, interceptions as your defensive tools.
This is how NBA 2k approaches their games....base it on realism but propoer sliders can alter the experience according to user demand.
For the past 10 years, madden has catered to the arcade crowd....it's finally this year that sim players can really get deep into the gameplay.Last edited by phillyfan23; 09-02-2015, 04:45 PM.Comment

But isn't the confidence/in game goals an issue they also said wait to start a CFM? Where every player on a team was nearing 99 as confidence went over 100 and some players then seemed to then go down to really low attribute ratings? I saw screen shots of this on OS. I didn't look for this particular thing at my buddies house.Comment
