In the video while the dev is talking around the 3:00 mark it looks like they review and uphold a touchdown by Baltimore that should have been called out of bounds. The receiver only gets one foot down and they still give it to him...embarrassing to have that happen while a dev is talking about the game...

I know it's shady to do that, but damn, it shouldn't be happening at all in 2015.Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
I only spent a limited amount of time with M16 at my buddies, so my opinion is from a small sample size.
Aggressive catch does seem a tad overpowered. But the major problem is the zone defense being pretty ineffective and the pass rush being ineffective. We (buddy and I) seemed to be able to get enough sacks, but pressure causing bad throws don't seem to happen often enough.
Having said that, the gameplay in M16 seems much better than just a few years ago. To me gameplay is going in a + direction.
The biggest issues with the game seem to be the CFM bugs my buddy was telling me about.Comment

From a coach mode perspective I have ZERO issues with Madden 16. Like I stated in the little things thread, even the supposed over powered aggressive catches look nice to me!!F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
A simple fix would be to have ratings dictate a certain set of animations that can trigger for each position. The NBA 2K signature animation model seems to work wonders for them. If OBJ was the only WR to be able to pull off that catch (also allow CAP to because people would complain about not being able to) that would be perfectly fine with me.
A system of animation differentiation between elite/average WR's would go a long ways.Last edited by Allball76; 08-31-2015, 11:31 AM.Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
I can 100% honestly say that this is one of the best Maddens I've ever played, and I've been playing since Madden 2005.
The run game is magnificent, the movement feels realistic, the A.I. plays the way they should. Just an amazing job with this one man. The ONLY thing I would want changed if changes to happen, would be to tone down the aggressive catching a tad bit.....especially for receivers who do not have high ratings.
The way the defense plays is excellent and it requires a lot of patience and strategy to play defense this year. The way it should be. I'm saying this as a person who plays mostly online. I've put in over 50 online H2H games so far(MUT & Ranked) and the game plays great in those arenas too.
I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about the lack of defense or the player movement or OP catches. Do not cave in EA. Do not end up like 2K who brought out a final patch that destroyed a really good game in NBA 2K15.
You guys are winning right now. People will complain until they learn how to properly play the game. Lots of the top guys in MUT last year can't stand the game this year. That's ok. They will live.
Madden 16 could possibly go down as the greatest Madden ever if you guys stand your ground and only tune what REALLLLLLLY needs to be tuned.
100% agreed. For the first time in years Madden actually feels like football (strategic grind) and not a track meet. I can finally put All Pro football 2k8 and Nfl 2k5 to rest.Comment

This poster said if better than I can....
It's a fun game, but the defense, especially the zone coverage is still lacking. I feel like this in combination with the trench game being nerfed allows guys way to much time to dice you up with your guys not reacting realistically in their coverage....

Which is funny. I have more success with zone than I do man coverage. Not sure why given the feedback on the forums I seem to be in the minority.

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
I dont like how the defense Ai plays unpredictably at times, specifically the secondary. Like a corner will have his back to the ball and miraculously 180 his entire body negate all his momentum and make a play on the ball while my WR has to take 6 steps to turn his body around because of a canned animation on a comeback route. I see those wonky unfair animations all too often. I like to throw the ball based on anticipating how the defense's momentum and body are relative to my receiver. All too often does the CPU ai just go into god mode just to make a play on the ball to punish me for reacting realistically.
And on the flip side, the AI secondary on my team plays absurdly and gets carved up nonstop as the CPU spams all verts.Comment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
I started my franchise, on all-star, did a fantasy draft using my Browns.....
I control as little as possible on the field, I press X for hike, and yeah I have to pass the ball myself, but I don't touch anyone on the field of play other than that. On defense I just call the play.
It's the most fun I've had on this game ever. It plays great.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
If I had to choose between the two, I'd say I have more overall success with zone as well, just feel I have to do too much babysitting against the better players and higher CPU difficulty....and I can't be all over the field...

Re: EA you guys made an AWESOME game. Please don't cave in to the complainers
Just my opinion, but what has been lacking in Madden is a solid run game, which now doesn't seem to be the case. You can actually run the ball at a solid rate and run a ball control offense and still win games. Having a solid run game in Madden makes the game feel so much more realistic, because most of the time your opponent will be playing the run on 1st or 2nd down, which completely opens up my offense to the passing game. Like I said it's just my opinion, but this game just plays so much better. I didn't even buy the last Madden either because I absolutely hated all the cheese that was in it, but this one is a lot better game.Last edited by KhaosDTX; 08-31-2015, 04:40 PM.Comment
