Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions

If I set up 32 coaches and just control 1 team, when I get to the draft and sim to my team's pick, do the other teams draft reasonably well?

Does anyone know of your able to control all 32 teams and give each team a custom playbook?

Just found out that if you "retire" an owner, you forever lose the option to do owner again on that team. It shows a lock on the option.

Does anyone know of a work around for this?

I went in and set up everything...ready to sink my teeth into CFM and realized...there is no FLU vs. CPU :-(. I'm sure everybody knew that already...but I just got the game along with XBOX ONE and had no idea. Talk about disappointing...

I scrolled through the entire thread and did not see an answer to this, so I apologize if it's been asked and answered already...

I am doing this 32 team control offline CFM, and at the end of year one, I want to fire Ken Whisenhut from the Titans and hire Chip Kelly as the new Titans coach. Is there a way to do this? I have tried switching to Whisenhut, and retiring. Then switching to Kelly and demanding release. When I go to hire a new coach for the Titans, my only options are to hire Whisenhut again, or create a whole new coach. There is no option to hire Chip Kelly as the Titans coach. Coaches switch teams all the time, so surely there is a way to make this work? Anyone know....?

I think you have to be the owner and not the coach of the team.

Owner gives you the ability to fire and hire staff.

Are there any downfalls to 32 team owner mode rather than coach? I'd like the ability to hire/fire staff which is why I ask.

I'm worried that t will create finance problems tgough. For example, in 15, if I had the jags as a user owner mode team theyd run out of funds after the first season and would have to retire. I don't want my 32 team To be screwed over lack of funds.

This year you can award extra funds in increments of $5M to any team, so you can fix any perceived lack of funding issue.

The reason I don't do this is that I don't know how much funds is realistic to have per team given the game's salary and revenue structure, but theoretically, there's more upside to running a 32-owner CFM as opposed to a coach one because you can do everything from managing the coaching staff to the training staff to the stadium.

The thing is that as an owner, if you ever retire, you can never take ownership of that franchise again; you can only be a coach.

As a coach, you can retire and return to the same team as many times as you want.

So it depends on the kinds of things you want to do within the franchise, I suppose, when making this decision. But they did fix the finances issue for sure by giving you the ability to allocate extra monies wherever you see fit.

Re: FIX: Setting Up A 32 Team OFFLINE CFM Instructions

So I set up 32 team just as listed. While simulating the preseason, both Jaguars quarterbacks are injured for week one. I force advance to week 2 after I play my game, and not only did Jacksonville not sign a quarterback for their game, they don't have anyone listed as having attempted a pass that week, and they only ran the ball 12 times. How does a team only run 12 plays all game? And now that I look, it shows TJ Yeldon had two receptions. How do you get a reception if no one threw a pass?

I tried simming that week with autopilot off, then I tried again with it on. Neither time did the CPU sign a QB for the game. I tried a third time, retiring the coach before the game to allow the CPU to control that team (so, 31 team control now), and that time they signed a QB for themselves and all stats looked normal.

Any ideas what went wrong? I like the idea of 32 team control but I don't really want to have to go through all 32 teams every week to make sure they fix their injury problems. I guess it's not that big of a deal if I have to do it, but if there's a way around it, I'd love to know!

I also ran into this problem. Had like 3 teams with both qbsinjured even with all settings to on, they didn't sign a new qb.

                        Here's what I do:

In the pre-season, I control all cuts down to the 53-man roster because the CPU has some "off" logic on a few positions that leaves teams chronically short (like having 2 DT as backup MLB in many cases).

I then just accept that I'll have to scroll through each week's injury report and manually adjust rosters for the teams that have been hit exceptionally hard.

I define this as 2 QBs hurt (I keep 3 for all teams), 2 HBs hurt for multiple weeks, 3 WR hurt, 2 DE/DT hurt, 2 OLB/MLB hurt, 2 CB hurt, or 2 FS/SS hurt.

You won't typically see injuries stacked at the same position for long durations, so this really amounts to 5 minutes scouring the league and maybe 10 minutes per week making sure each team has enough players and the depth charts are good.

Max control over CPU roster management is well worth the time investment to me, anyway--at least until EA gets it right .

I have done everything I've read on the threads. I don't know what else to do. I can't play offline cfm with all 32 teams unless I have the patch I'm assuming. The game just stays on the loading screen. So unless you have internet don't bother to play Madden 16

The patch shouldn't have anything to do with the freezing.

At what point is it freezing? (there are lots of loading screens...) Are you using a custom roster? Any other details that you can provide will be helpful in figuring out what's up.

Also, do any other games freeze up on you? (If so, it's likely your system) If not and you're using a physical copy, is there any chance you know someone else who has the game on disc? May just be a bum copy of the disc.

Bottom line: the more we know about what's happening, the more help people can give.

So now that I'm seeing that Owner mode is working better, I'm thinking about switching over from Coach mode. A few questions:

                                1) What do I lose by going to Owner vs. Coach?
                                2) If I just retire the existing coaches (all real except my own), they'll stay with the team still, right?
                                3) There is no "easy button" way to do this, is there? I think I'll have to just retire/rejoin all 32 teams but would love to not do that...

                                Thanks for any answers.
