I know people have said auto pilot makes no difference, but if I put them on auto pilot will the CPU do these things better for these teams?
I just experimented with this and here's the deal.

With auto-pilot "off" and the cpu set to "on" for re-signing players, the CPU lets too many good players walk whom it could and should retain. FA becomes too crowded with top talent.

With auto-pilot "on," the CPU seems to be more intelligent in the re-signing phase. FA still has good players in it, but the CPU retains the guys it can/should at a higher rate.

For example, without auto-pilot on, the Bears will let Jeffrey walk, but with auto-pilot on, they will retain him. With it off, the Chiefs let Berry and Johnson walk with auto-pilot off but retained them with it on.

IDK why it works this way, but I think the CPU is better at retaining players, competing in FA, and drafting with auto-pilot "on."

Therefore, what I do is let the CPU do all this, then in the pre-season, I go in to each team and manually trim the roster and fill out the depth chart. Even with auto-pilot "on," these changes stick. That's my recommendation.

Ok thanks fellas. I think I will try auto pilot. Only reason I did this was because I am using Iteach's 1986 roster and wanted to set playbooks, etc. And also my neighbor can jump in and play some games with this method.

I went through the process set everything up for 32 team control, even the auto-sub settings for all teams. I saved my base file and went to start my Fantasy Draft and realized I can not turn on auto-pilot for teams until after the Fantasy Draft has been completed?? Has anyone else run into this or do I have to just manually move through pick by pick having the cpu pick one by one?

Not a Fantasy Draft guy but I could've sworn that there was a "sim to end" feature/option somewhere. Maybe you have to do that for each team? Sorry...just taking a guess. Hopefully, someone else has a more solid answer.

Appreciate the answer. There is in fact a sim to end of draft option but I was hoping to make the picks just for the team I want to have as my own (i.e. have the other 31 teams pick for themselves each round without hitting sim to next pick 31 times per round). I ended up biting the bullet and doing it manually only to get through the preseason and accidentally save over the version that had my draft. Pretty epic fail on my part but such is life.

I play games of only a single team (Jets)... Do I need to manually set the auto subs for all 32 teams? Or only for the Jets plus the teams they play against? Do auto subs in any way Impact Simmed games stats? Thanksi

You'd have to sim each pick since they are user controlled.

Perhaps the quicker method, if you restart the franchise start with controlling just 1 team. Do the fantasy draft so that you can skip other teams picks. After the draft it will be preseason week 1 and then you can set up 32 team control

So I can set up a 32 team league and still have the other 31 teams do their thing with injury replacement, trades, free agency and the draft?

Can I override if I see things the CPU is doing I do not like prior to the transaction talking place?

Is there a way I can take my created coach and move him to another team and start playing with that team?

EDIT: Nevermind, wrong thread. I was using the method that you created a "new" user coach before you faced a team to help with XP stuff.

I played multiple years with one team as my coach and now I want to switch to a new team, don't see a way to do it though.

Set all CPU options to ON for the other 31 I don't want to control, and I turned on autopilot and they haven't made one trade or signing yet after 4 weeks. Is this normal?

Automatically, there are 2 active controllers (I only have one turned on), and it sends one of them to the other team/wont let me continue because it's waiting on another user.

How do you get around this? I have autopilot on for 31 teams.
This is what is happening to me. Not sure what is wrong at all. Hoping someone recognizes what we've done here to get this result.

So now I'm going to ask the backwards question. Is there a way to un-assign a user from a team that I have set up as a 32 Team Franchise?

You should be able to do this by setting the teams you don't want to control to "unlimited" under settings>users. Go into that screen and select whatever teams you don't want to control and change the amount of weeks they are on auto to "unlimited". You should then be able to select "sim to next user pick" and it will sim to your pick.

Any chance someone can do an overhaul here for Madden 19 and breakdown how to setup 32 team control? Would love to figure this out before starting my offline CFM.
