    1. Game play not at all like play now. Felt much different, hard to describe but I would say more arcadeish

    2. Robo QB was in tact as Matt Ryan completed 82% on me incuding several long streaks of 5+ completions in a row. He couldn't miss

    3. Only 1 penalty (offsides, my own fault)

I did create the falcons coach as a user before playing and retired him right after the game. Overall not impressed. I deleted the tuner again and will try another game later. Was hoping not to have to play with sliders because default ap was playing so good for me in play now. Sigh....

Give it more tries. Some game the CPU will be robo but other games they get around in the 50ish. The game won't play as play now 100% since confidence is still in. The closer all players are to 50 the more play now gameplay we get. Also I played without the tuner. For some reason maybe concidence I don't know it plays much better for me. Again this could be coincidence. Try to play the same game without the tuner and see how it goes.

Like he said yes. You can star doing this from a already started cfm. Keep in mind that your confidence will be already kind a high. And by doing this confidence tend to go up if you win and go down if you lose. And you may be already to high in confidence to start losing. Just a note.

Man CFM just looks outright unfinished this year - I'd like to play but not in its current state.

I agree, the whole game seems to feel that it could benefit a few more weeks in development. There are several bugs in the game that madden never had.

That being said, this is what we currently have and i`m doing all possible things to make it enjoyable.

After you be come the owner/coach of the other team you have to move back to your own.

Also don't use owner mode for opponents. Since when you retire you left them 0 funds. And also you can do it more than once. Use coach. Always.

You can be owner of your own team without a problem.

This workaround has been a gamesaver for me. Can't thank you enough.

I was ready to scrap this game due to the stupidly overpowered and unbalanced confidence based dynamic drive goals.

Now, using this workaround, I'm nearly complete with my first cfm season and loving it.

I truly enjoy the gameplay EA put out this year, but I wish they realized they need to give the consumer more control/options. If I don't want dynamic drive goals I should be able to disable them...

Yeah, I'm really happy Booker found a way to turn off Drive Goals.

There is also that huge thread going on this website about how poorly implemented this new Drive Goal idea was. (it's called "can we all agree drive goals were poorly implemented" if you want to read it)

And I agree with that other thread, Drive Goals are poorly throught out and over power your guys.

Oh well, maybe they'll patch a way to toggle it on/off but even if they don't at least we found a way to turn it off.

Lol thanks for the post! Im as happy as you guys. The game is great and it would be a shame if this drive goals would have killed the game. Hopefully we can turn this stuff off next year!

I hope you guys realize how ludicrous this all is. No way I'm doing all this, it is EA's job to correct these faults in a timely manner. The issues with progression and confidence is border line "mode breaking". I'd assume most play franchise mode and this mode has been completely riddled with issues. Its really sad to see when the gameplay has so much potential.

Won't this make the XP system completely irrelevant? Am I right is thinking that without the goals, you can't gain XP outside of game prep this way?

We won't be able to progress players at all.

You still get XP from weekly and year end goals.

Also, keep in mind the CPU doesn't get the "benefit" of Drove goals at all in games you sim. So by disabling Drive Goals you are leveling the playing field for CPU teams.

Weww you just made my day, I was seriously thinking I was going to have to abandon the game this year. I can live with this until they patch it (hopefully)

                                I feel ya, Phobia!

As you know, I'm no EA apologist, but I do feel compelled every year to make this as playable a game as possible...

                                I'm addicted, that way...

To me, this year, having to create a character and then retire him for each played game is better then having to spend countless hours repairing gameplay issues through sliders...

The last couple iterations only played somewhat well after a staggering amount of time adjusting levels / gameplay sliders / penalties...

This year, the game is pretty close right out of the box on AP, so:

OVERALL, it's going to be a lot more gaming and less slider hi-jinx for this guy...

I do agree, I'm tired of doing their work for them...

But this year, it's looking like a LOT less work, relative to the recent past...
