So are cpu teams supposed to have high confidence players if they are playing well? Two weeks left and some teams have quite a few guys with 99 confidence. I am doing the work around.

There is nothing we can do to lower cpu teams. Teams with winning records are going to have higher confidence than those with losing record.

The easiest fix or at least my preference would be to simply put a switch in the settings to have drive goals and confidence on or off. We shouldn't be forced to find workarounds for something many people agree is distorting the game.

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM

            Just a couple of notes.

1.- an On/Off option would be the best solution EA could possible give us. Many of use doesn´t like the confidence stuff, or even don´t agree on how it´s implemented and affecting the game. So they should give us an option to Turn this "feature" on or Off.

2.-Regarding CPU teams having high confidence at the end of the season, that has nothing to do with this workaround. CPU teams does have confidence, the same way as the player. (because the workaround) the player doesn´t have those extra confidence points from Drive goals, so the confidence is based only on field performance.
CPU teams that are doing good, they will still have high confidence, but this is how the confidence work and there is nothing we can do to removed that. The only thing that i can think of out of my head is to control the 32 teams and set the Simulate Gampe Prep o Off for all the teams. But that would also impact the Development since many of those game prep goes to XP gain as well.

Hope this clarify the question about why some CPU teams has high confidence. Also, this will apply to Human. If you are winning every game with high stats, you will probably get a high confidence at the end of the season. Like i said, confidence is based on game performance only with the workaround, but is not 100% eliminated.

              Funny thing with confidence...

I started up a new single cfm with the Giants last night. Never before have I had the cpu take me behind the woodshed. Cowboys thrashed me opening night to a tune of 55-16! Romo comopleted 80% for close to 400 yds. There was no stopping anything no matter what I did. I think this is more of an outlier result as the other 2 CFM games I played prior went much better (all loses but much more competitive). I am sure the Cowboys confidence is sky high after this game! This is refreshing because on default AP I am getting good games from the CPU that actually require me to put effort into them. Gonna be a lot of fun with CFM this year!

If I'm using auto progression with 4 weeks, do I have to actually click on 'auto progress players' to get this to go?

If so, in order to stick with the AI schedule of progressing players, would I do this before or after my Week 4 game?

Hey, i think we are talking about different things. This workaround has nothing to do with the auto progress players. This option is only for XP.

Now, answering your questino, you have to do it manually every 4 weeks if you want to match up with the CPU settings. The settings you set is only for CPU teams. Your team have to be done manually anytime you want. Manually i mean to select the auto or do it yourself, but you have to tell the "coach" when to do it.

After the week4 will be how the cpu would do it if you have it every 4 weeks

Nope, I just figured this was a good place to ask

You answered my inquiry though. Thanks!

Re: TUTORIAL: How to Disable Drive Goals For Solo CFM

Booker21, I have started my Dolphins CCM and I am simming the preseason game by game...I am doing this before each game: 1. creating a new character for the team that I am about to play which is a default head coach. 2. After the game, I go back to that team and retire that default character before proceeding to the next game. As I am doing this, a thought popped into my head: if I am creating a character each week, won't that created head coach be the coach that will be in the game that I play against? Also, If I retire that made up character, will the team that I created that character go back to it's original head coach? Meaning if my opponent is the Bucanneers, and I retire my created coach will that team resort back to Lovie Smith during their season? I don't want to see created coaches on the sidelines of the teams that I am playing against. Thank you and I look forward to your response.

You don´t have to create a new head coach. Just select New character and you leave the Default head coach. I recommend looking my video that shows how to assign the coach and retire the coach for the oppoent teams.

Creating a New head coach mess things up

Booker21, I watched the tutorial video and it was super easy...I apologize for asking a question that would not have needed to be asked if I had only followed the instructions. Final question though and I watched your other video about confidence, but I want to know if once I am done with a game do I: (A) go into game prep and boost confidence or do I (B) not touch confidence at all because there are many game preps besides specifically addressing confidence that boost confidence regardless of the activity? Thank you once again for your patience in answering my questions.

I recommend not touching he conf game prep at all. It's already overpowered. Just have good games and improved their confidence with good performance instead.

I'm 6-3 overall but 2-1 since switching to using the workaround. Games are definitely much harder. Almost frustratingly so since I'm playing with CHI but I think I like it. It's honestly not difficult or as annoying as I thought it'd be to use the workaround.

Slight issue I noticed. The opposing team does not swich its home/away uniforms if you choose a different uniform.

I was playing as the Bills and wanted to use my alternate all white classic uniforms like they did in real life against the colts. When I did this without this method the colts would automatically choose their blue home uniforms, however, with this method they kept their white uniforms resulting in both teams having all white uniforms with white helmets... obviously a problem.

I tried changing the colts uniform under pagano's user then changing back and playing as the bills but that didnt work.
