Glad I found this. Sucks that I have to start over and that this also doesn't fix the LT & QB regression problems... but hopefully this will make the game fun again.

Is it weird that I almost enjoy losing more than I do winning when playing? Makes me put more effort and thinking into my team rather than just putting a squad out there and winning no matter what style I play.

Exactly same position. I was 5-1 with Broncos (thought be good franchise to be, peyton last season then rebuild etc), but just before game 7, CJ Anderson was +3 OVERALL!!

Btw the LT regression thing, I ran a 3 season sim on 4 week progression. After season 1 the game levels out. Only Oher and Robinson go into meltdown. The QB Awr thing, well, not much we can do but 4 week does help a bit

Last question booker, you've been great with all your help. Does doing game prep alter confidence in the way that dynamic goals would as well? I guess in simpler terms, should we avoid doing it?

I would avoid the confidence game prep. The less confidence you gain the better.

I'd use game prep just to earn XP for your younger project players and avoid using it to build confidence unless you have a young starting QB, HB etc... That might need a "pep talk" during a particular weak string of performances.

The last thing that is killing this game is the CPU cutting shed load of starters

The falcons just released Babineax and Garret, Cowboys released Crawford ffs.

Only way I can think is as soon as week is simmed, load that team fix the players gained/lost and retire

Thing is. Online leagues in head to head games drive goals are still there. So not sure what triggers them to turn off in offline modes.

Exactly. We shouldn't have to do this, but it litterly takes all but 10-15 seconds a week.

I noticed my players confidence is still pretty high, there's +8, +6, +9, and numerous 4 and 5. I did win the game 33-20. But that seems a bit high, or is it ok?
I won 51-17 one week and saw 2-4 confidence at most.

Yep. Cpu still makes crazy trades, but that's with every franchise mode. Doesn't bother me because it's my own world.

I turn off AI trades. They don't often happen in the NFL anyway, so I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

This is true, but as I was saying last night, I completed some in my Supporters League game and checked the game prep afterward, but I didn't have any "Drive Goal completed" messages.

I'd really like some others from the league to say whether or not that happened to them, but I'm guessing most have the graphic turned off...

When selecting when to 'start' the season, do you guys pick week 1, or do you actually go through the preseason.

I am afraid if I start at week 1, then some of my young guys that aren't highly rated but want to keep--will be cut by CPU.

                    Thoughts/suggestions?

                    TIA!

I simulate week by week of the pre-season so I can cut players myself. I also check the injury report after every sim to make sure there are no serious injuries to star players. During the regular season I play every game and don't bother worrying about the injuries on other teams.

I think my last question before I get this rolling is related to rosters and the LT regression issue.

What roster did you use to set this up so as to avoid the massive LT/OL regression?

                            TIA guys!

I I haven't done anything to counter this. It's not that game killer for me since not all lt regress.

Apparently it only effects a few players and can be mostly countered by setting the CPU to progress players weekly.
