Then is it wrong of me to switch Dre Kirkpatrick to FS from his CB position? No. He plays better at FS. Position changes happen. Randle El/Edelman from QB to WR, Denard Robinson from QB to RB. It happens. Deal with it

sometimes i have a peak at tall red zone wrs to te, but they have to be 6 4 and 230+, usually it doesnt work

but given that some may believe im screwing the system by playing Bruce Miller as 3rd TE as well as FB as he is a good receiver, or a #3/4 MLB as #OLB because they have speed in the return game and can tackle

do whatever you want to enjoy the game because that's all that matters. i play offline franchise only and coach mode, i have 4 centres, they are #2 RG, #1/2 C and #1 RT. they were the best available that fit my scheme when i drafted 2 of them and traded for the other 2. anyone who tells me that's wrong is missing the point about enjoying the game
Why are you creating an argument that nobody is making against the moves you described? Nobody said there was an issue with doing what you stated.

You're the one missing the point about what the discussion is about.

I feel like both sides are getting a little too upset given how trivial the issue is. If someone really doesnt care, they wouldnt have posted more than twice.

Lost in the discussion is whether it's even that big of an advantage to have some shrimpy guy with speed carrying the rock for you all game. Learn to run through a hole, make a move, break a tackle, and i think you'll enjoy the running game a lot more. If someone wants to run off tackle with a WR all game, let em. If they do nothing but tosses or have found some wildcat formation, it's probably playcalling cheese and we can talk about that.

Futile attempt to change the topic: would you all recommend drafting FS, or is sticking with a guy like nate allen (low 80s) a better option? I remember from last year all the safeties were pretty bad, especially in coverage. Also, how many B+ man cov CBs are you guys finding this year? I only have 2 in my current class, but i seem to remember having more options last year. Just wondering if i should skip on CBs this year or if this is how it will be every year...

How can you take a jab (see bold) then say you'll change the topic?

If people want to exploit the game it's fine with me. There's one side of the discussion that is getting upset and it's my opinion that they don't want to have what they do called an exploit. Too bad.

Then you have random people coming in stating the discussion is about something which is actually far from what the discussion is. The discussion should be over at this point. It's an exploit. If you exploit the video game to make it more fun for you then have all the fun you want.

my problem is by inference im exploiting the system when im doing exactly what happens in rl, the problem is the only position changes i ever see the cpu do is de to and from olb. interior lineman swap positions on depth charts as do lbers, the code needs improving. sorry i just react if someone says what i do is an exploit it has a negative connotation.

The code absolutely needs improving! I would love the CPU to be a force to be taken seriously with aggressively trying to improve their roster intelligently.

I find trouble believing that the CPU would decide to move a player with sub 70 carrying and move them to RB so the code might actually be right. The real issue is speed at RB, if EA fixes the rbs in the draft nobody would be inclined to switch WRs to RB.

lol, it's a video game. People need to stop using the real life crutch.

Let's assume that we are both of equal talent at this game.

We are going to sit down and play 1 game for 1 million dollars. I can move a 97+ spd/acc wr to rb and you cannot. Would you consider these terms fair???

And the thing is, I'm not saying you are a terrible person for doing it. I really don't care. I exploit my own offline franchise in different ways from time to time.

The difference is, I know that it is bs when I do it.

Don't cry about a low overall/carry/break tackle rating for your wr/rb. If it didn't give you an advantage, you wouldn't do it.

Firstly, this was a good thread a few days ago,id hope we dont nuke it this way because this seems to be neverending.

I mean,in our league we ALL know where Archer,Grant and Demps are and we gameplan accordingly. In the last 4 seasons there has only been one decent candidate to switch to rb and we gameplan for him too.

My point is,In your OFFLINE franchise,i wouldnt do that... i wouldnt trade 7th round picks for beasts on the trade block, i wouldnt pick manipulate to have an allstar team,i wouldnt try extreme position changes,id do whatever i could to have a vanilla team.

In my ONLINE league,we have 12 solid competitors. We talk on groupme and cellular devices hours on end daily about our league. Of course we are going to naturally try out any and everything to outplay our opponent.

You can say whatever you want,my spirits are high regardless because every night i get off work and have a great time

This is the joy of the game

All this back n forth is silly. Id rather see some stats on rookies people are drafting

I drafted a freak RB in the early 5th. I'll have to look up his stats later, but roughly:

                              5'9"
                              237 lb.

                              88 speed
                              88 strength
                              90 agility
                              91 acceleration
                              88 juke
                              88 truck
                              56 elusiveness
                              62ish catch
                              82 pass blocking
                              37 run blocking

The elusiveness is the only big issue. But he's big, relatively fast, and really strong. I wish I could get his RB up higher (without switching him to FB) so I could use him at FB and RB. Have other people seen strength so high before at RB?
