Pick #22 in Round 1. Philip Rivers is on his way out I took a shot in the dark. This guy was projected 5th round guy who had great speed with A THP, B+ MAC, B TOR. There were guys who went earlier in the draft who had A+ THP and great attributes, but this guy is truly special. Rivers is likely going to be traded at this stage since this guy is a phenom.

Re: Madden 16 CFM Draft: Biggest Freaks/Studs/Gems in
The draft class was post everything (tuners/patches). I actually draft for all 32 teams for rounds 1-3 of my offline CFM. There were 3 QB's taken in the top 5 selections. They all needed QB's and there were three clear cut 1st round picks. They were either projected 1 or 2 with a green projection indicating they were good value or true value for those rounds. I am confident they all had A or A+ THP with very solid secondary attributes that were A-, B+, or B. They all ended up with OVR's of 78, 79, 81. So they'll start for their respective teams and were by all means good selections.
This guy was the ideal "risk" selection for a user as he has athleticism with a good arm. I like to run some read option so it's perfect as I use Mariota in my online CFM. The huge risk was "what will his SAC/DAC/AWR be?". This could take him from a projected starter to a project where he sits behind Philip Rivers for a season or two. I cringed when I made the selection thinking I might've just ruined my first round pick...then I see the most incredible attributes on a QB I've ever seen.
It then gave me a sense of confidence heading into my 2nd round pick...where I took a MLB with similar makeup. He had a green 5th round projection and had good athleticism and attributes. He ended up a 66 OVR which was on of the lowest players drafted in all of rounds 1-3. He won't see the field for me outside of special teams. I was trying to fill the void of having Manti Te'o hit free agency.
Clearly you all can tell I'm rather excited to start the new season with Starks as the new guy in San Diego.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Re: Madden 16 CFM Draft: Biggest Freaks/Studs/Gems in
ND, do you scout in-season for each team?
I am more and more interested in using 32-team control the make sure depth charts, player schemes, injuries, and re-signings are handled how I think they should be, but what to do with the draft is the biggest concern for me now.
I'd draft for the CPU in the first 3 rounds if the CPU scouted, but as far as I can tell, in my 32-teach coach CFM, the teams I'm not 100% controlling myself do not do any scouting.
So if I understand it correctly, I either have to scout for all 32 teams for at least the top half of the draft--so maybe 8 weeks or so--or I have to go into the draft and just pick the player with the best combine numbers and the closes player/scheme fit for the other 31 teams.
Do I have it wrong? Or do you do something specific that makes this strategy work for you?
I recall one time making it into year 2 with KC, and I noticed that TB drafted a QB in round 1, as did OAK. I'd like to find a way to avoid that, but I don't necessarily want to scout for all the other teams...Comment

I'm pretty sure other teams see the scouting reports of the main team you scouted for. Cause one time I drafted for the Eagles and my main team was the Cowboys but I seen all the scouting attributes although I didn't use any for them.Comment

I try to draft as smart and as deep as I can and make the best decisions for the CPU. One thing that is nice: you can select for each team through your own draft board. I look at each team and jot down their position of needs and star the biggest need.
I don't get the 4+ round guys on most positions so I miss some. I'd say I have a 85-90% success rate on drafting them good guys for what they need. The first round is easy. Second half of third is really tough

Okay, so you don't actually have to click through and spend all their scouting points to see attributes for players when drafting for the other 31 teams.
That's great news. I'm totally doing this, then.
I hated to see TB and OAK move on from clear franchise QBs after 1 and 2 years' experience in the KC franchise I mentioned above. If I can eliminate those super egregious mistakes, I think it will make the league more enjoyable long-term.
I don't care if TB drafts another QB in round 4 or 5 if they think they need a backup or there's uncommon value there, but I'll be dammed if I'm gonna let them move on from Winston until his rookie deal is up!
Yet another good reason for 32-team control!Comment
